198. Extra Chapter 8 The Well-behaved Boy

Translator: Lena

The dishes are served soon. Bo Yu picks up fish with chopsticks. After cleaning fishbones, he puts it in Little Watermelon’s bowl. The boy loves eating fish, but feels annoyed when cleaning fishbones. Besides, he can’t pick out all bones. The man speaks, “Enjoy yourself.”

Little Watermelon’s eyes curve in a smile, “Have some fish, daddy.”

After saying that, the child gives Bo Yu half of the fish in his bowl. He is so adorable and polite, “Do you like fish, daddy?”

In fact, the man doesn’t like to eat fish. When he carried Little Candy in his belly, he felt sick when he smelt fish. When he finally got rid of these tough days, Bo Yu had fish every meal consecutively for a week. He didn’t stop eating fish until he detested it. Now he seldom has fish.

Little Watermelon lowers his head to chew the fish. He now has become a tall, slender and good-looking boy. He looked like Bo Yu because of his crescent-like eyes and smile when he was younger. People would taken him as a tiny version of Bo Yu from a distance. However, he now resembles Song Shilin after he’s no longer baby-faced.

Noticing that, Bo Yu feels pity. Song Shilin is indeed handsome, but he is inflexible and serious. Little Watermelon was quick-witted. That will be regrettable if he is like Song Shilin.

The latter takes care of Little Candy while eating. After feeding the child some milk, Song Shilin asks the kid to hold the nursing bottle and drink by himself. The man finally has time to gorge himself.

He then notices that Bo Yu stares at Little Watermelon with the greatest regret. Song Shilin frowns, “Aren’t you tired today?”

Bo Yu squints at his lover, “I’m all right. It’s the first day. I didn’t have much work to do.”

Song Shilin cocks his head to one side casually. He then lowers his head to continue eating. The man raises his head to check Little Candy who is next to him from time to time.

Little Watermelon has grown up. He can eat by himself. Hence, Bo Yu doesn’t have to worry.

After the four finish their dinner, Bo Yu remembers Little Watermelon’s parent-teacher conference. He asks, “Little Watermelon’s PTA meeting will be conducted in Saturday’s morning. Will you be there?”

The Song Group only gives their employees a day off in Sunday every week. As the president, Song Shilin can’t delay his work because of personal affairs. Therefore, he proposes, “I’m occupied by my work, so I have no time. You also need to work. I will tell mom and dad.”

‘Song Shilin’s mom and dad?’

Bo Yu immediately considers that the two elders will delightedly attend their grandson’s PTA meeting. However, he is in a sore strait after thinking it over, “Forget it. I’ll take the morning off on Saturday.”

“Is it okay for you to ask for leave in the very beginning?” Song Shilin doesn’t care whether Bo Yu acts in a play or not, although Bo Yu insists on doing this job. He doesn’t think Bo Yu will take actor as his life-long career, but he won’t stop Bo Yu if Bo Yu insists.

Little Watermelon raises his head when hearing his PTA meeting, “Daddy, grandpa will attend the meeting if you don’t have time. It’s okay.”

Bo Yu repeats, “It’s easy to take half a day off. You don’t have to worry.”

Song Shilin remains silent because Bo Yu insists.

Little Candy drops the feeder in a daze. He has milk on his mouth. In addition, the boy gawks at Bo Yu, “Daddy, me, me PPA.”

Compared with Little Watermelon who could articulate his opinions at years old, Little Candy can’t utter his thoughts clearly. Besides, he chirps his ideas around others tirelessly.

However, others seldom understand him under most circumstances.

Sometimes, Bo Yu should guess the meaning of Little Candy’s words. However, he pretends to understand most of the time. In effect, the man can’t figure out what his son means, “What?”

His thoughtful elder son drops his chopsticks and wipes his mouth with a tissue. After that, the boy explains to Bo Yu seriously, “Daddy, Little Candy wants you to attend his PTA meeting. Well, he hasn’t gone to school yet, so he doesn’t have a PTA meeting.”

Little Watermelon cares about his brother’s mental health.

Bo Yu helplessly gazes at Little Candy who is waiting for a reply earnestly. Although he is unwilling to break the little fellow’s illusion, he tells the truth. “You haven’t gone to school yet. There’s no teacher to hold a PTA meeting for you. Just forget it.”

Hearing that, Little Candy curls in disapproval.

The waiter steps in with two pieces of cake which were ordered by Bo Yu. Desserts here are made after clients order. Therefore, customers are about to finish their meals as desserts are served.

Little Candy’s eyes twinkle. He instantly forgets his worries and struggles to get out from the child seat. However, he finally gives up after failing for several times.

Bo Yu ignores the little boy’s efforts. He places a brownie in front of Little Watermelon, asking, “Feed your brother.”

Little Watermelon enjoys the game of feeding his young brother. He delightedly heads toward Little Candy who drools when catching the sight of the dessert. The elder boy scoops some cream and feeds himself.

Little Candy opens his mouth subconsciously, but can only gawp at his brother eating it up. The little fellow summons his courage, yelling, “Watermelon, me, eat.”

Little Watermelon secretly dips a little cream with his finger and sends it into his younger brother’s mouth.

Little Candy narrows his eyes pleasantly, “Yum.”

Bo Yu stops after having two bites. He approaches Song Shilin with the cake and sends it into Song Shilin’s mouth with a spoon.

Song Shilin doesn’t have a sweet tooth. Frowning, he is about to refuse. However, the man opens his mouth after Bo Yu pleads, “You can eat it by yourself.”

Bo Yu beams brazenly, “I’m full.”

“Give it to the children.” Song Shilin can’t understand why Bo Yu ordered two desserts if he can’t eat it up.

“Little Watermelon is changing his teeth recently. It will be tricky if he has cavities.” Bo Yu says seriously, “I’m on a diet. Cameras won’t love me if I eat too much.”

Song Shilin answers earnestly, “You’re slender.”

That’s true. Although Bo Yu stayed at home and had much food, or traveled in the past two years, he didn’t get fat because of idleness.

Bo Yu stares at Song Shilin ruefully, “Cameras will put weights on me.”

Cameras magnifies actors’ flaws.

Song Shilin finishes the cake quickly. Too much sweet food cloys his palate, so he takes a few gulps of water to wash away the sweetness in his mouth.

Little Candy is begging his brother, “Watermelon, eat.”

The cake in Little Watermelon’s hand is only a few left. Little Candy drools, but Little Watermelon also wants a bite. The two boys are staring at each other.

The elder one gazes at the younger one seriously and sighs as an adult. He then feeds Little Candy, “It will be my turn next time.”

‘No one will remember next time.’ Little Candy nods absent-mindedly.

After filling their bellies, the family head home.

Little Candy is taken for shower unwillingly after they arrive home, while Little Watermelon obediently follows Song Shilin to the study to do his homework with his backpack.

Bo Yu lies on bed at 10 p.m., “Jesus! I forget to send a post on Weibo.”

Song Shilin just put away some documents and took off his shirt. He is about to wash up, “What?”

Bo Yu logs in to Weibo through his phone, while Song Shilin turns around to take a shower.

Hearing the sound of water from the bathroom, Bo Yu browses through the trending. Then he directly follows Lover’s official account on Weibo and retweets a post sent by the account 2 hours ago.

@BoYu: Good evening, I’m Bo Yu. Nice to meet you. @ShanYangxun @Lover

As Bo Yu retweets the post and mentions Shan Yangxun, the latter replies in three minutes. No one knows whether he happens to see the post or deliberately waits for Bo Yu’s post.

@ActorShanYangxun: Good evening, I’m Shan Yangxun. Nice to meet you, too. @BoYu @Lover

The two posts instantly trend on social media. The common night becomes different.

“God! Does Bo Yu start acting in a TV drama again? He said he would stop doing so and focus on movies, right?”

“Jesus! Bo Yu starts to play a role in a TV show again. I’m overjoyed! Wait for Lover’s amazing behind-the-scenes videos and trailers. I’m looking forward to the show!”

“I find this play doesn’t have a heroin after checking Lover’s official account. Do I overthink that? What kind of the play it is? A play has two heroes.”

“The previous Actor of the Year is reduced to a supporting role. He needs to bolster a rookie’s presence. Is he turned down by the movie industry, or is he abandoned by Song Shilin? Why does he start acting in a TV play again? Why not stay at home to be the president’s lover?”

“Well, it seems that this play has two heroes, but it’s not a serious drama. It’s a romantic play. I think you guys can guess who is the couple.”

After Bo Yu retweets a post from Lover’s official account, netizens start to focus on him. After all, Bo Yu hasn’t starred any play since the popular Dead End released two years ago. Therefore, the actor naturally draws everyone’s attention.

Bo Yu is having the time of his life again soon. He tops the trending chart that night. Shan Yangxun appears on the chart with him.

Bo Yu’s stans become ecstatic after receiving the news.

Checking the trending, Bo Yu happily finds that he is on top. He then puts his phone away in a few minutes.

However, Shan Yangxun who tops the chart firstly is sleep deprived.

Zeng Xun is outraged as he notices two spectacular dark shadows under Shan Yangxun’s eyes.
