after greeting Tom, I buy some chocolate bread and start making my way home with Felnor and Selshruuk who accompanying me, and as we leave the city I ask Selshruuk.

"do you think he's hurt?"

he answers with a concerned expression.

"I hope not, because if someone hurt your father than we are all in deep trouble."

"what makes you say that?"

"because is one strong individual, it would take a very tough opponent to defeat him."

"you have a point there, when we would spar, I couldn't land any attacks on him."

since none of them respond, I just assume they didn't feel like talking, so I turn around and say.

but I get surprised with Paula staring at me with her white milky eyes, while standing there holding two stuffed toys that resemble Felnor, and Selhruuk, I immediately put my guard up and question her.

"what are you doing? why did you do that to them?"

but she doesn't answer, she just continues to stare at me, I then give her a warning.

"if you don't stop now, I will treat you like a threat."

"what if she had something to do with my dad being missing? she was the last person he was around before suddenly disappearing."

since she still didn't answer me, I sigh and reply.

"alright you're not giving me much of a choice here but you're forcing my hand."

I chant to myself.

I then follow up by chanting.

I fire a purple ball of mist at Paula, but she see saw that attack coming and dodges it with ease, I then think to myself.

"of course, it's not going to be easy, my dad did train her."

"I will not be taking p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e, with what I'm going to do you next."

she chants in a weird language that I've never heard of, and takes out a whip covered in black smoke, I look at the whip and think to myself.

"that whip she is carrying is emitting a very ominous mana from it, I've got to be careful when she uses it."

she charges towards me and begins to swing the whip at me, but little does she know, my dad's harsh training regiment has improved my vision, so every swing she takes at me, I dodge each of them with zero problems, and this keeps going for a few minutes until I finally find an opening to land a punch on her, but she reads my movement at the last moment and barely backs away from me in time, she then says to me.

"your dad taught you well, but of course I received the same training you have from him."

I then demand her.

"so tell me Paula, did you have anything to do about my father's disappearance?"

she pulls out that one doll she showed me at the wedding, and holds it out in front of her so that I can see it asks.

"I don't know, what do you think?"

"I can't believe she took my dad and turned him into a doll."

she comes charging at me again, but this time she approaches me with her hands and I quickly realize what she is trying to do and I think to myself.

"be careful, don't let her touch you Hope, or else you will also turn into a doll."

Paula relentlessly attacks, trying very hard to touch me, but since I'm so focused, I manage to keep her from doing that, but I worry about how she has me on the defensive and I think to myself.

"I need to fight her from the distance."

while dodging her attacks I chant to myself in elvish.

"Elven wings."

my purple translucent butterfly wings appear on my back, and I take off into the air, I then see her looking up at me surprised that I can fly as well, I then shout.

"dual triple fire shot!"

my fireballs fly down at her and explode upon impact, I then ask myself.

"did I get her?"

the smoke caused by the explosion clears up, and I notice that she is not there, but then as I lift my head up, I spot her flying as well, I then ask myself.

"what the hell, how does she have wings?"

Paula comes flying at me, still intent on trying to touch me, but even in the air, I manage to keep away from her, I then think to myself.

"I can't stay on the defensive, I need to try something to get good hit on her without risking her touching me."

as I continue evading her in the air, I finally come up with something.

"I could try using the mana shift, movement spell, but I've never tested it out in a fight before."

I sigh.

"I need to at least try, since I don't have many options."

while I back away in the air still trying to avoid her touch, I chant.

focus on the one behind her and chant.

I instantly appear behind her, completely catching her off guard, and then I kick her back hard, that causes her to crash down hard into the ground, I then think to myself.

"that should be enough to stop her."

I gently float down to the ground, where Paula fell, and as I land near her, she stands up and says to me with impressed voice.

"wow you are pretty strong, I shouldn't have expected less from Collin's daughter."

completely flabbergasted that she is still moving after taking that hard hit, I ask.

"you shouldn't be up, especially after that."

Paula smiles.

"it's a secret."

she cracks her neck and sighs.

"now let's end this, because I've got a long day today."

I reply.

"well your day is about to get longer because this is far from over."
