Collin's Otherworld Adventure

Chapter 179 - Time To Leave

I give Leonard a weird look after he said that we should ask the Dragonoids for help, and reply.

"yeah your right I don't like that idea."

he replies.

"trust me on this, I'll take you to go see lady Mengshee."

I ask.

"a friend?"

he nods.

"last time I saw her was a couple of years before the start of the war with the Dragonoids, so I'm hoping me and her are still friends."

I follow up with another question.

"how will she help us?"

"if she likes you, she will train you and you might become much stronger so that you can defeat Damien."

I give him the benefit of the doubt.

"alright, we'll go since I have no real idea on what to do next."

The young assassin whose life I spared chases after us and asks.

"hey are you guys not coming back so that we can all back to Grezia together?"

I reply.

"no, I don't want to see or listen to any of them."

as he turns around to return back to the throne room, I stop him and say.

"well before you go, open up portal for us to King Dave's throne room."

"but I need to go back to them."

I then ask.

"do you remember how I spared your life years ago?"

he nods.

"yeah, even though you don't remember my name."

I dismissively wave my hand off at him.

"ah details, details, don't worry they can wait."

he sighs.

"okay, but you better hurry."

"thank you, Trent Humboldt."

we exit the portal and end up back at King Dave's throne room, where Ying asks upon my arrival.

"how did it go? was Cecile there?"

I answer.

"they agreed on a bad deal that prevents an all out war between the alliance and the Orcs at the cost of innocent lives getting sacrificed to Mauri, and yeah your son was there."

he asks disappointed.

"did they really agree on something like that?"

Leonard answers.

"yeah, it was a bogus deal, so me and Collin are leaving now."

"wait for me here, I'm going to get some of my things."

I reply.

"actually my family is at the guest room, I'm going to go them and then we'll meet back here."

Ying asks.

"do you want me to come along?"

I respond.

"what about your wives?"

he sighs.

"you have a point."

"go, give Mauri hell, and good luck."

as I'm about to make my way to the guest bedroom, Ying says.

"if possible please save my son."

I nod.

"yeah I'll try."

I look around and ask.

"where are Felnor and Selshruuk at?"

he answers.

"they went to keep your Wives, Daughter and Father in law, company."

"we need to leave now."

Celeste asks.

"why, what happened?"

Ellena adds on.

"we can't be moving around constantly, we could

pop at any moment."

Ellena's father, former King Lexur asks.

"did the deal with Mauri not go the through?"

I reply.

"no it did go through."

he sighs in relief.

"good, then what's the problem?"

I answer.

"in order to avoid an all out war with Orcs, we leave Mauri and everyone in her cult in peace, as they continue their operations."

he then agrees.

"oh you are right, the deal is no good."

Ellena then asks.

"how could my sister agree to this deal?"

I reply.

"she didn't, she was the only one on my side."

Celeste then asks.

"so what are your plans?"

I answer knowing full well that they weren't going to like what I was going to say and also keeping to myself that a demon who calls itself Damien is controlling Mauri.

"I need to get stronger, if I'm going to have any chance in defeating someone like Mauri."

Ellena shakes her head.

"no, I will not let you."

Lexur agrees with me.

"I'm sorry baby, but he's the only one we can count on right now."

Felnor and Selshruuk give him a dirty look for leaving their names out of it, and after he notices them glaring at him, he stammers.

"I mean he's obviously going to have help."

I hug Ellena to comfort her.

"I'm sorry, but if I don't do anything about it, many

Innocent lives will be taken away."

she buries her face i to my c.h.e.s.t and says.

"I know, that is one of the things I hate and love about you."

Celeste joins in on the hug and then asks.

"and where are we going?"

I reply not wanting to tell them I'll be going to the Dragonoids for help.

"I'll leave you guys with Gresnor, while I go with Leonard some where, that he claims will make me stronger."

Lexur then makes a suggestion.

"how about they stay with us?"

I ask.

"would you take them in?"

he nods.

"of course we are family."

I then say to Celeste.

"oh and before you go, I need you to come with me so I can get my parents and Sarah."

she nods.

"you don't need to say anymore, let's go."

she opens up a portal and we step inside together and come out the other side, just outside my parent's house, and as I knock on the door Celeste asks.

"what are you going to say to them?"

I reply.

"the truth."

the door slowly opens up and upon seeing me, my dad asks.

"hey son, what brings you here?"

I reply.

"you need to go get mom and Sarah, because we need to leave right now."

he gets taken aback with what I said, and asks.

"what for?"

I sigh, and go into complete detail about what has been happening with the The Cult and Mauri returning, only leaving out the small piece of info that a demon is completely controlling her, he lets out an exasperated sigh and asks.

"okay fine I understand, but where would we go?"

I reply.

"at Rusllyyn with Ellena's family, since her father offered it, so I'm hoping you guys would come along."

he takes a moment to think about and says.

"okay, but you will only take your mother and sister as long as their safe, I'll be fine."

I ask.

"why don't you want to come along?"

he replies.

"well someone needs to look after the shop, and I can't do that if I come along."

I ask.

"are you sure?"

he pats my on my shoulder.

"I'm sure, just keep your mother and sister safe."

I respond.

"well tell them to get ready, I'll be back."

Celeste asks.

"where are you going?"

I reply.

"I'm going to go ask Rosie and her parents."

she asks reluctantly.

"you want to bring your first love with us?"

I hug her and say with sincerity.

"she's an important friend of mine, and I failed to protect her from Abigail when she died, and I don't know if I can handle losing her again."

she sniffles and replies with watery eyes.

"okay, go ahead and get her, I'll be waiting for you here."

I ask.

"what's wrong?"

the answers she gives me, takes me by surprise.

"I'm afraid that your old feelings for her will come

back.

I sigh and respond as honestly as I could.

"right now I don't know how I feel about her, but I do know that I want to get her out of here."

she replies.

"I'm sorry for doubting you, I just read your mind right now and they matched with what you are saying."

I kiss her and say.

"I'll be back."

while making my way to Rosie's house and I ask to myself.

"will her parents believe me? would they just up and leave with me based on my words alone?"

I knock on their door and wait a couple of minutes until the door slowly swings open and I'm greeted with Rosie smiling.

"oh hey Collin, it's been too long since the last time you came to visit."

she hugs me tightly and says.

"I'm glad you came to visit."

I ask.

"can I ask why?"

she answers.

"I remember everything about us, all the way back since we were kids."

I look into her red eyes, a reminder that she used to be a vampire and I ask.

"do you have any recollection about your time as a vampire?"

she shakes her head.

"I still can't seem to recall any of it."

she sighs and then asks.

"so what brings you here?"

I reply.

"go get your parents, we are leaving Rozlania today."

she asks.

"why?"

I reply.

"I'll explain once you go and get them."

she goes heads inside her house and starts calling for her mom and dad, who quickly show at the front door, I then wave at them.

"hello."

her dad who surprised to see me here, asks.

"hey Collin, what brings you around here?"

I reply.

"I'm going to tell what is going on, and hopefully that you'll believe and leave Rozlania with me."

he sighs.

"alright then, go ahead."

I then take them step by step of our encounters

the cult of Mauri, and the return of Mauri herself, he looks at me and says.

"okay I understand your concern, but the magic knights successfully defended Arce and our kingdom when the vampires attacked, and besides you just said they will leave us alone as long as we don't bother them."

he then says.

"sorry Collin, but we will not be going with you."

I reply.

"thank you for taking the time to listen to me, so please take care of yourselves."

as I turn to walk away, I hear dad call out to Rosie.

"where are you going?!"

Rosie grabs on to my arm and says.

"I believe you, and I'm coming with you."

she turns around and says to her dad.

"don't worry, I'll be okay!"

he then shouts.

"but you just started adjusting back to a normal life!"

she shouts back.

"I'll see you soon, I love both of you!"

we walk to my parent's house where Celeste is out in the front with my mom and sister, she then notices Rosie clinging to my arm and asks with a cold tone.

"are we good to go?"

I reply with my head slumped down.

"yeah."

Sarah runs up to me and as she gives me a hug, she asks.

"is Hope coming too?"

I answer.

"yeah we are going to see her now."

Celeste opens up a portal, we then all enter together, and come out the other at the King Dave's throne room, where King Dave is talking to Leonard, he takes notice of me and says.

"before you leave, we should talk."

knowing that there was no way to avoid talking him now, I reply indifferently.

"alright then."
