Colonial Suit

#879 - Nemesis of Nemesis of Nemesis

This world has no shortage of intelligent people, and even less of intelligent people who know how to advance and retreat, and understand what to give up.

Bravery is the most beautiful quality of life, but if only bravery remains, then you can use another word to describe it.

Stupidity.

As an entity that has survived since the Great Chaos, the Guardian has seen too many victories and deaths, glory and betrayals. Civilizations collapsed before its eyes, and countless lives died in the flames of war. High and mighty races were pulled down from their altars, and lowly ants stood up with their chests out.

The cycle of life and death, the rise and fall of glory and decline.

It's like a natural movie theater, constantly playing and repeating.

History is cruel and cold. What is a strong person, what is a coward, cannot be seen from a single victory or defeat. Time will make the fairest judgment. The Guardian, who witnessed the era of the Great Chaos, knows that although the Krodir were destroyed, they did not actually lose. It was their enemies who lost.

Because from beginning to end, the Krodir were facing the siege of hundreds or thousands of civilizations. But even with heavy losses and the destruction of their homeland, not a single person surrendered.

All the conquerors died in the most glorious arena of the universe, the vast starry sky.

How can such a civilization be called a loser?

Even if it is destroyed, the influence it leaves behind will continue to this day, and will continue to continue...

The Guardian doesn't want to be an enemy of such a civilization, not at all. Because that's not called courage, it's called stupidity. So when he discovered the identity of the Blood Eye, his first reaction was to submit.

This is the most rational, the most intelligent, and the most natural choice in his opinion.

In the black mist, Blood Eye sat down on a winding vine. He reached out and touched the patterns on the vine. "So, you are a survivor from that time?"

"I am just an entity," the Guardian replied opposite him. "I was born from the nightmares of the Vine Serpent people, and I am the manifestation of their psychic power. In the distant era of the Great Chaos, I protected them from being eaten by the conquerors. And thus, I saw the world clearly."

"This is a natural hunting ground. The strong should have strong reasons. If a civilization does not have the qualities of the strong but pretends to be strong, then their only end is to be hunted. The Teng Snake tribe is too weak, it does not have the conditions to become strong. So I must find a way for them to survive."

"For example, relying on the truly strong."

The Guardian seemed to take it for granted when he said this, because this is the truth. The truth of the universe's cruel competition. If a wolf can eat meat, it naturally has the conditions to eat meat. If a sheep doesn't have the conditions, it must eat grass.

He felt very lucky to have found such a big backer for the Vine Serpent tribe.

Although, it seems that only Blood Eye is left of the Krodir now.

"I am not completely ignorant of the past," Blood Eye reached out and picked a leaf from the vine, chewed it in his mouth. "I remember that even in that distant era, the Krodir had some allies, but their endings didn't seem to be very good. You have now chosen the same path as them. Aren't you afraid?"

As he said, Blood Eye stared intently into the Guardian's eyes. "You must know that I may now be an enemy of the entire world."

"Not the entire world," the Guardian laughed, his eyes narrowed somewhat猥琐. "Just some remnants left over from the Great Chaos. Moreover, not all of the Krodir's allies have disappeared. At least I know that the Nine Heavens and the Cloud Holy Temple still exist, but I don't know where they are."

"Really?" Blood Eye was stunned, then slightly happy in his heart.

The Nine Heavens and the Cloud Holy Temple were the Krodir's most steadfast allies back then. Blood Eye thought they had all disappeared, but he didn't expect them to have left a foundation.

That's good. As long as there is a foundation, even if the losses are great, there will always be a day to recover.

This Guardian seems to know a lot of secrets... Blood Eye thought to himself, and had a new assessment of the Guardian's value.

At this point, the conversation between the two was basically over. Although Blood Eye verbally agreed to the Guardian's alliance, it would still take time to verify whether he truly accepted him and the Vine Serpent tribe. In this cruel universe, allies in the ordinary sense are meaningless. Only allies like the Nine Heavens and the Cloud Holy Temple during the Great Chaos are worthy of entrusting life and death.

The Guardian and the Vine Serpent tribe still have a long way to go.

Calculating the time, Blood Eye didn't plan to delay any longer. He and the Guardian had plenty of time to talk, so there was no rush. But the mercenaries outside were probably getting impatient.

So he stood up and planned to leave.

But just as he turned around to leave, he suddenly stopped. He asked the Guardian with his back to him.

"What exactly is the origin of that man you call 'Evil'?"

The Guardian laughed, he also got up and walked behind Blood Eye, slowly saying. "I thought you wouldn't ask. After all, this involves a secret of your Krodir. We have just formed an alliance. I'm afraid we don't have that trust yet."

"But since you trust me so much, then I will speak frankly."

The latest novel is first published at Six Nine Book Bar!

"His race is called Boka! They were also strong people who were active on the universe stage during the Great Chaos, but what makes them different from other strong people is that they are the Krodir civilization's natural nemesis. They are natural enemies!"

"They are also one of the culprits of the Krodir's destruction!"

The Guardian's voice suddenly rose, as if he saw that destructive scene. "Their power is called 'Light'!"

Natural enemy!?

Blood Eye's heart skipped a beat. He didn't expect that he had just become the natural enemy of the Vine Serpent tribe, and he had encountered his own natural enemy.

But the Guardian's description was correct. When he encountered that man, no, when he encountered the little beast on his shoulder, his enhanced cells did indeed fall into a state of fear and loss of control, just like encountering a natural enemy. It's just that Blood Eye hasn't figured out what that 'Light' is. Could it be a kind of power? A kind of creature?

If so, how should he face it?

"Don't worry," just as Blood Eye was pondering to himself, the Guardian spoke again. Its face was rapidly蠕动, becoming more and more ugly.

"The Boka tribe was indeed the most dangerous enemy of the Krodir during the Great Chaos. But as time goes by, they are no longer that powerful civilization. A comfortable life has worn away their will, and most importantly, their light is no longer an irresistible force."

"As an ally, I think it is necessary to offer you the first gift as my sincerity."

As he said, the Guardian waved his hand, and the black mist around him surged. Suddenly, a strange Vine Serpent walked out. It was smaller than any Vine Serpent Blood Eye had seen, only one person tall, but the olive-shaped cocoon was densely covered with special patterns, like a vortex of the starry sky, unspeakably mysterious and strange.

Blood Eye only glanced at those patterns, and felt that his mind was about to be absorbed into them...

The Guardian's voice came from his ear.

"This is a Vine Serpent that I have specially cultivated. It will give you the power to resist 'Light'." (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for recommendations and monthly tickets. Your support is my greatest motivation..)
