Danger Zone
Chapter 167 - A Call Of Invitation
Primo wakes up early than he normally does. The constant dreaming about Aiden's suffering is not giving him much of a sleep these past few days. He knows that part of it is his fault, but acknowledging them was never in his agenda.
The Alpha sits up from the sofa bed and stretches his body as he looks around their dull-looking house, filled with different paintings that he thought would keep company to his Omega.
He knows that the absent of an Omega's mate is sufferable but he never sees anyone complaining about them. He once scolded Aiden because the Omega kept on whining about his busy schedule.
But he never once knew that it will be at this extent. Remembering Aiden's state last night is only making him more guilty and pissed. He falls back to the sofa bed and stares off to the ceiling.
At first, he kept on blaming Daime about Aiden's change of attitude. Ever since Daime goes missing, only to find out that the latter died in a plane crash, Aiden was never the same person.
The Omega kept on referring Primo as "Daime" and sometimes complain about his fashion sense since Daime never wore anything that Primo wears. The Alpha soon start aggressively changes Aiden's perception and will often tell Aiden to fuck off or get lost.
In his disheveled mind, he thinks that doing this will make Aiden realize that Daime is a bad person and will call him Primo again. Unbeknownst to him, Aiden knows that he is indeed Primo and only calling him Daime to see how he will react.
His reaction is worth the while for Aiden. The Omega likes to tease the Alpha so many times that Primo almost hurt him because of it. But never in the Omega's mind that Primo will be violent with him.
The constant reminder of Primo coming home is a complete nightmare for Aiden. And the Alpha does not know that. If it weren't for Drax, who is trying to fix their dangerous marriage, Aiden and Primo would've divorced after only 6 hours in marriage.
Now, they are married for almost three months and nothing had changed since then. Aiden is still scared of his Alpha and the Alpha is still trying to fix their broken relationship.
Trying to erase the memory in his mind, Primo forces himself to stand up from the sofa bed and walks to their shared room. The room that is filled with the Omega's distress pheromones.
The room that Primo never gone into because he doesn't like messy places. Disheveled clothes and thrown out vases all surround the place, leaving no path to walk in to.
That room was never like that before. Aiden is the one who chose this house to live in, thinking that Primo will change his attitude when he sees a new environment.
But the Omega is entirely wrong. Moving away from the Santoro family made Primo a lot worse than he already is. The constant fight that drains the Omega to the bones is something that Primo only realized after seeing Aiden at that state last night.
He sighs and continues walking the long hallway to their bed, when he suddenly hears his phone ringing. He takes it out from his pocket and looks at the caller ID. He frowns to himself, knowing that today should be is off-day.
Meaning, no work.
Answering the call without much thought, the Alpha opens the door to their bed and frowns at the scene in front of him as Drax, who is on the other line, says his greeting.
"What do you want?"
[Wow. You're awake! How is Aiden?]
Primo sits in front of the sleeping Omega. He caresses his cheeks as he trails down the black circles under his eyes and his patched lips that were not as luscious as before.
"He is sleeping."
Primo continues to caresses the Omega's cheeks as his heart continues to hurt at his state. The Alpha in him keeps on reminding him how stupid can he be by not seeing how much his mate is already suffering.
How dumb can he be by even putting Aiden in blame for his miserable and busy life even after being with the Omega. The Alpha can only sigh as Drax tells him about another meeting that they have to attend.
[But before that, we need to go to this re-opening party of a tavern that Grandmama did not buy, many years ago. Apparently, someone bought it and renovate the whole place. Tonight is the restaurant's re-opening and we are invited.
Even the Matautias will be there. So, get your Omega ready and he needs to look well or your father-in-law will kill you the moment he sees Aiden, looking like a malnourished Omega.]
The Alpha sighs for the umpteenth time before standing up from the floor. He stretches his back once again and asks Drax which restaurant he was talking about.
"Hold on. Let me check the letter that arrived earlier."
Primo responds with a hum as he hears Drax shuffling some papers, presuming that the older Alpha puts everything on top of the others before realizing that he forgets to remove the letter from the stocked up files.
[Found it!]
Primo sighs as he sees Aiden waking up with a tired smile. The Alpha releases a calming pheromones in order to calm Aiden, making sure that the Omega is comfortable while he is there.
The calming pheromones are taking effect, when Primo sees Aiden slowly smiling at how calm his surrounding is. Stressing the Omega out again will be Primo's worst nightmare.
[It says here;
Greetings to the Santoro Family!
I am Mikhail Andros Boris and I am gladly to invite you with the re-opening of Vladymyrrh Tavern.
I would be happy if you can come and join our celebration in our beautiful place.]
Primo stops in his tracks when he hears the name of the restaurant. He frowns to himself before whipping around and faces Aiden.
Making sure that his pheromones are in check and making sure that they are still calming.
"He bought the land and the place but he did not change the name?"
Drax frowns before checking that the new owner did not change the name of the restaurant, indeed.
[Looks like it. Since Grandmama is all extravagant and connection building, she wants the two of you to come with us, as well.]
Primo can only say yes before hanging up the phone. He looks at Aiden who is at a dazed before announcing their plan for tonight.
"We need to prepare for this grand re-opening party, babe. The event will be tonight."
Aiden blinks his dazed self away and looks at Primo.
"Where will it be?"
Primo sighs, terribly regretting asking Drax what is the name of the place. He looks at Aiden with a slight smile and announced the place.
"Vladymyrrh Tavern."
