Demon Emperor Prodigy System

"Argh, I have to defend more proficiently; the barrage of attacks is becoming unbearable. It has only been six months since the training began. Still, because of that demon body of mine, my strength is comparable to an adult humans strength," Lucifer thought to himself before parrying the next oncoming attack.

"Because of my small frame, I had to settle for the use of daggers even though I am most proficient at using long and short words. My skills are just wasted in this small frame," Lucifer thought before dodging the next attack and utilizing a basic lv two mana manipulation to improve his speed.

"Ice bullet lv 2- activate," Lucifer said before aiming at his opponents' feet.

His instructor easily dodged. "I see you are slowly getting the hang of combat seems the last month has not been wasted."

"Wind canon lv3- activate" His instructor Froudeus knew to go easier on the boy even though he was a Tier 10 ability user the boy was only a tier 2 ability user. He did not want to overwhelm the boy as he was not even three years old yet.

"I can only perform ice bullet lv 2 and fire enhancement lv 2 at my maximum even though with my dual centres, I should be at the very least a tier 3 ability user. It seems the system is blocking my progress until I reach the age of 3. Even the two missions related to abilities are greyed out, and it is not possible to complete them until I reach the age of 3. I have to do the best with what I can do with the limits placed on me.

"Mana body rotation lv 2 activate." Mana began rotating through Lucifers body, enhancing every part of his body from his speed, strength to his perception and vision. "Flame weapon enhancement lv 2 activate." A flaming aura enveloped the silver shine of the dagger's blade.

When learning the basics of using different weapons, he used wooden weapons. Still, when learning how to use abilities in a combat environment, a unique set of silver daggers forged from beast crystals and steel was created by the King. Daggers with an innate beast trait of weight preference adjustment made from rock crab beasts who carried massive rocks on their backs for protection but had to regulate the weight not to get crushed under the gigantic boulders.

"I will use a vertical slash and stop just before I hit the head," Lucifer thought. But as he approached where Froudeus stood, the afterimage disappeared.

"I think that is enough for today, Lucifer, sir. It has only been a month since your practical combat began; your critical thinking and practical application are good, but there are limits to how far you can go while only using lv 2 abilities." Froudeus stated.

"His majesty told me you should be more than able to use a lv 3 ability with how much mana your mana centres can store. Both your brothers were able to use a lv 3 ability by the time they were your age." Froudeus continued.

"I wish I could just say it is because of the system instead of getting lectured", Lucifer thought to himself.

"As you may know, up until lv 6, learning an ability is pretty straightforward; with each person being gifted in at least one of natures elements and different types of abilities just like your brother Iblis did when learning the ability of telekinesis." Froudeus intercepted Lucifer, who was stuck within his thought.

"I know I have to grow stronger fast. I was supposed to be a prodigy, but it seems I am stagnant with the system blocking my progress. Demons develop at a faster rate than humans, with regular demons being able to talk at the age of 2 and starting combat practice around the same time with their natural enhanced bodies being able to take on the training." Lucifer was stuck thinking about what to do next to progress.

"Over the six months, I have been shown how to use different weapons, which was difficult with this small frame as the movement proved awkward. I had at least some experience with each weapon except the daggers, which right now seem to be the most fitting form of a combat partner for me."

"Froudeus was a good mentor; he was trained for espionage from a young age and a good user of stealth", Lucifer acknowledged his mentor.

Lucifer proceeded to go to the royal library and see if he could learn anything other than what he learned so far before reaching the age of 3. Unfortunately, the system allowed him to access the ability window only after level 5. Unfortunately, his current level was only 3, and so far, it seemed he could only complete quests with instant level ups as rewards.

So far, Lucifer was most productive at utilizing his time in developing the full-body mana rotation allowing for mana to be simultaneously used throughout his entire body at the same time. "Since demons were natural in possession of enhanced strength, they focused on developing their abilities rather than focusing on simple mana manipulation."

"Using simple mana manipulation was similar to people using qi before qi manifests a physical element. From what I noticed, being able to increase and use basic mana manipulation through mana body rotation will prove highly useful. Unfortunately, most young demons are impatient, and by the time one becomes older, it is too late for the body to get used to controlling mana body rotation. Not learning it earlier was one of Iblises regrets." "On the other hand, Orcust could not care less since he just cared about big explosions and overwhelming physical strength and would be too impatient even nowadays." Lucifer finished wondering and stated.

"Time to learn and train."

Authors note: The lv. next to abilities are related to the ability tiers, and the system levels are separate. This world does accommodate for technology and modern entertainment, although the society is different because of conflicts and the vast amount of races and presence of races. The word 'level' in relation to developing something/levelling up was created in the 19th century, so, realistically, it would become a term used in the society within the story.
