Demon Emperor Prodigy System

Authors note: I apologise for the delay in the release, but this chapter was the most difficult one to write to date. The system will play a vital role in the story, and I wanted to make it have as solid a foundation as possible. There will be an auxiliary chapter with the system information concluding volume 1 and information on some of the characters like the summary of characters, their names and ages, as well as birthdays for some of the characters. I try to do the best I can, so please let me know if you notice any mistakes.

Now back to the story.

"It has been a long time coming now, but finally, I turned three. The birthday celebration was nothing special it was the same as every other birthday", Lucifer stated.

He followed by stating, "I am happy with the gifts as they have been pretty amazing this time."

He continued, "The bow from Iblis, the shield and Greaves from Orcust, the hourglass artefact from Talia, shortsword from Frodeus, and my father a bag of coins, a custom scabbard with the family emblem fitted with a ceremonial longsword, as well as a ring made to enhance electric affinity abilities."

"All things considered, all these gifts are pretty impressive, and all seem pretty helpful."

"It is pretty crazy how things have changed since being reborn."

"People that would have been the natural enemies I can call family now and have gotten pretty attached to over the last three years. I never knew a person could enjoy having a family so much".

As he sat in his room with the party already concluded and all his gifts lying on the bed in front of him, he took a big sight and continued within his thoughts.

"Tomorrow, I do not have to train as I just had my birthday but a day off can not be a day wasted, so I have to plan how to spend the day. I also feel responsible for getting stronger as I have a younger sister now; hopefully, this one does not try to kill me", he said as he chuckled. Even though he was betrayed and killed, he made sure not to become resentful towards the entire world.

"After I was reborn, I felt resentment, and I did have a thirst for revenge; after all, my legacy was going to be trashed, and it all left a bitter taste in my mouth. However, after being reborn, I realised that I found myself in a different world, and there is nothing I could do to fix the mistakes of my previous life except living a good life this time around."

"What I did discover was that I did develop resentment and hate towards the human race; it seems the root of my issues was always down to the human race itself even in my first life and my first death."

"I believe the only way to create peace is through a revolution, and to be able to do that, I need power."

"It seems that the system can help me in my crusade against humanity, so let's see my current system with more features available to me; after all, I finally reached the age of three", he concluded.

As Lucifer was investigating the system, he proceeded to claim the rewards for the two quests he had already completed as he was unable to claim them until now.

Suddenly a beast crystal appeared out of nowhere in front of him.

"This is just like a video game from my original life", he thought to himself.

"This is somewhat even too surreal even for me".

"System, do I gain three stat points per level since I have 9?" He enquired, slightly bewildered.

"Yes, there are 3 stat points awarded for successfully gaining a level until reaching level 15, after which the number is increased to 5", the system stated in the usual monotone tone.

"Fascinating, it feels more and more like a video game", he thought.

Before he could think, even more, a notification appeared, "would you like to absorb the basic monster crystal to increase Demon Body Resonation percentage?"

As he looked at the holographic screen, he pressed "Yes".

"Well, it is not like I have anything to lose", he said, and as he thought so, the crystal floated upwards and towards his chest and began disappearing.

A notification appeared, "You have successfully absorbed the beast crystal. Demon Body Resonation increased by 0.5%. All stats will be increased by 1.

"This is interesting", he thought.

"I should try using a stat point and see if it makes me any stronger. Let's invest two points into strength and four into agility."

As he invested the points, he felt his muscles increase in size and his body become lighter.

"I guess I am about to become the most ripped and strong three-year-old in the history of this world", he thought to himself before laughing at the thought itself.

"I guess I should try using the inventory to see how it works", he thought as he pulled out the shield from his dimensional necklace and proceeded to insert the shield into his inventory.

He then asked the system, "so how do I get things out of the inventory?"

The system replied matter of factly, "there are two ways to take items out of your inventory. You can auto equip items or simply just have the items appear out of your inventory in a similar manner to dimensional storage items" "All you have to do is just think about it in your mind as the system is directly linked to your consciousness".

Lucifer nodded in agreement. "I see he said aloud", as he thought about equipping his old shield, and it appeared strapped to his left forearm.

"This is fascinating and useful at the same time", he considered as he thought about unequipping the shield, and it disappeared as quickly as it appeared.

After completing all 7 out of the 8 quests available, Lucifer finally met the requirements to reach level 5.

As his level increased, he received another 3 stat points and finally completed the last quest receiving the Unique Mystery Gift, Ten ability points and the Beginner Starter Pack.

"I will save the ability points for now, but I am interested in opening all these mysterious gifts from the system", he thought.

"I guess I will start with the gift from over a year ago first," he thought as a box appeared before his eyes.

A holographic window appeared. "Do you wish to receive your gift?"

"Of course, I waited three years to have full access to the system finally," he thought as he pressed yes.

A holographic screen appeared before him as the gift disappeared. The text read, "This gift package contains the ability of clairvoyance as well as a choice of one of the three items. The First Gift The Shadow Ability. The Second Gift The Extreme Speed. The Third Gift The Glass Ability."

"All of these seem pretty interesting I do wonder what they do. System, are you able to disclose any information related to how these abilities work?"

The system replied, "Yes, that is within my authority to disclose. The shadow ability focuses on blending into the shadows themselves and becoming a shadow itself, manipulating shadows in various ways, among other available functions. The extreme speed ability is simply a speed enhancement ability. The glass ability gives its user the ability to manipulate, create and control glass and glass objects.

"Hm, I am indeed split between the glass and shadow ability. Is there a way to obtain other abilities later?" He inquired, curious.

"Yes, however, only one out of the two remaining ones." The system replied.

"Well, that makes the decision easier", he said as he picked the glass ability.

"That leaves me with the glass ability and the clairvoyance one", he thought to himself.

"Time to see what is in the other two gifts now. Let's start with the Beginner Starter Pack".

"Would you like to receive the Beginner Starter Pack rewards?"

"Yes", he replied

A holographic screen welcomed him, "Rewards sent to inventory:

-Manacule absorption enhancement pills x10

-Basic tier crystals x5

-Intermediate crystals x1

-One Random Ability Stone (Grants the user a random ability from a specified pool)

"Well, the rewards seemed alright, but I do wonder what kind of ability I will receive from the Random Ability Stone. I might as well just use it", he thought as he looked at the stone.

A box appeared, "would you like to use the Random Ability Stone? Yes/No?"

He looked at the box and decided to press Yes.

Another box appeared as the Random Ability Stone disappeared from his inventory. "You have been granted the Predator ability."

"What is a Predator ability," he thought to himself.

As he thought about it, he decided to ask the system. He received a clear answer, "The Predator ability allows for the user to obtain the ability and a portion of the cultivation of the opponents' mana centre by absorbing the energy remaining in their mana core and the surrounding mana centre after they have been killed".

"It seems helpful in the long term, but for now, a pretty useless ability. I do hope the last reward has something exciting and practical inside of itself."

As he was thinking about it, he decided to claim the last reward, the Unique Mystery Gift and hoped for the best.

Suddenly a light appeared from the system, and a message appeared, "You have agreed to receive your rewards. Your rewards are as follows:

-A Race Specific Ability Stone (Grants an Ability Specific to the Demon Race)

-Enhancement Elixir of Manacule absorption x5

"These rewards seem impressive, especially the Dungeon Pass since it was not something I expected."

"Any help in getting stronger was much appreciated. My father is a tier 26, and if my brother were not given a handicap, he would be able to show off his tier 7 abilities, and with his strategic thinking and overwhelming strength, I would have no chance".

"It seems I have a lot of new items, and I might even go to use the dungeon pass tomorrow, but for now, I should reorganise my equipment and store it within the inventory for easier access. I should also prepare myself for tomorrow", he concluded as he began sorting through his system before deciding to go to sleep."

I am really sorry that this chapter was so late. It took so much out of me to get it finished as I made sure to try to make it as perfect as possible so there will be no plot holes.
