Destiny or Coincidence?

"I got to know that Abhilash had  dropped Athira at home yesterday since she got injured badly on the site" Charitha said looking at me with a questioning glance while folding her hands together and leaning back in her seat. 

To say I was shocked would be an understatement. I froze in my spot listening to her words and my heart was beating rapidly not knowing what to do. 

Sahana was looking at me and Charitha with a confused look on her face not getting what Charitha was trying to say. I think I have an idea that she wants me to vomit everything that happened yesterday.

"I'm confused here. How did you get injured Athira?" asked Sahana looking confused at me and Charitha. 

I looked at both of them gulping and cursed internally for getting myself into this situation. I sighed releasing the breath and explained them everything about yesterday's events. All the whIle i can see the reactions of their faces but none of them interrupted me while I was explaining it. 

"What the hell... that bitch is the reason for your injury? And you haven't said about this to anyone?" asked Sahana getting angry because of Omisha's actions for yesterday. 

I just nodded my head in acceptance but from the corner of my eye I can see that Charitha sat casually leaning back side looking at me with an expression of knowing. I think Sahana too observed it because the next moment she too asked the question that is running in my mind. 

"Now, what with that knowing look madam? Is there anything else that you want to spill?" Asked Sahana looking at her and coming closer to us. 

"Yes. I have a lot of questions running in my mind and a lot of strategies going through. But I would like to know it from Athira itself instead of torturing my brain with new questions." Charitha said looking at both of us with a smile that secretly says 'I got you'.

I gulped feeling nervous all of a sudden an entirely different reason now. If my guess is right then I think that Charitha has doubt about mine and Abhilash relation. And if that's the case then I'm busted now. 

"I don't know what you are talking about," I said calmly not looking at anyone but my lap. My heart is beating rapidly due to nervousness and tension. I can feel that sweat is forming on my forehead due to tension. 

"Yes. You know it very well. From day one I have observed the eye contact between you too but I thought it was not that big. But yesterday's event confirmed to me that there is so much between you and him than you let us know." She said looking at me seriously "I know you well enough to know that you are worst in acting and controlling your emotions. And I know that maybe it's your personal but I think we might help if you want, you know. After all, we are friends" explained Charitha while keeping a hand on my shoulder and squeezing it lightly to let me know that she meant what she said. 

"I am totally out of track here. Who is 'he' here and what are you guys talking about? Care to explain this to me? Sahana exclaimed looking at the both of us in irritation and somewhat of anger. 

I would have laughed at her expression if I am I any other situation. Its that's hilarious. But I thought I have to tell them now. I already feel them as my friends and I can trust them with my secret and emotions. And hell, I need some girl company to let this all weird emotions out. So by deciding that I took a deep breath and looked seriously at both of them. I think they understood the seriousness of my expression because the next moment they too became serious. 

Charitha encouraged me while giving an encouraging smile and I am glad for that. I know that she doesn't know the total story but she just has an idea about what it is. But still, she chose to stay by my side and listen to my side of the story. I liked that about her. 

"Guys what i am going to say now should be in between us itself. I don't want you to share with anyone. Only my friends and Dev knows about this. But I think i trust you both enough to share this secret with you." I asked looking hopeful at the both of us and nervousness at the same time. For the first time, I am going to share something that is so important for me with another one of my friends. I hope they won't break my trust. 

"We both promise you that we will keep your trust and will not share this with anyone," Charitha said catching both of my hands in her and squeezing them in assurance while Sahana too joined by nodding her head in acceptance and placed her hands on top of our hands. I smiled looking at the hands of us and looked at them with a genuine smile on my face which they have returned it with same genuinity. 

"I met Abhilash in Hyderabad itself for the first time," I said looking at both of them after a few moments of silence. They looked kind of shocked but did not interrupt me in the middle so I continued to tell them about everything that happened between us from the moment I laid my eyes on him to the last moment of yesterday's kiss. 

I can see the different expressions on their faces while I was explaining to them and I can feel myself opening up fully by explaining them about my feelings too. It was the first time that other than Riya I have shared my feelings with others. 

After explaining everything to them, I slowly lifted my head from my lap to took at both of their faces for any expression or any indication only to see the neutral and shocked faces of them. 

I looked in between both of them with an uncertainty on my face feeling tensed all over again. I can see that they are trying to digest the whole information about what I have said up to now. 

"Woah... oh my god.. I don't know what to reply to that" laughed Sahana while saying by coming out of her little dream and looking at me with an expression of shock and admiration. 

"Wow, Athira. I thought that you both are attracted to each other perhaps but i never would have thought that you guys already knew each other from Hyderabad. This is one hell of a shocking news dear" exclaimed Charitha feeling excited and smiling. Her face is showing the excitement which she is feeling currently.

I kind of blushed looking at their faces and their expressions but tried to hide it from them by looking at my lap. 

"Now I gotta know why this Omisha became the villain of your life suddenly. I think she too saw the eye exchange between you both of them and reacted that way" said Charitha again thinking deeply and nodding her head in agreement. 

"I said you both already that I don't trust in relationships, and moreover he clearly clarified that Omisha is his girlfriend on that day. So why would I give a chance to him and break my heart again?" I asked trying to explain both of them that it's all waste of time but I kind of felt that I am trying to explain it for myself. Do i?

"But goddammit Athira. How can you be so blind here. You are attracted to him dumbo. And anyone can clearly see it on your face. You are denying your attraction and feelings for him, dear. All the while when you were explaining about him you should have seen your face pagal (mad). It was glowing like anything. And if it's not attraction and like then I don't know what is?" Said Sahana shaking my shoulders in order to get her words into my thick skull of a brain and trying to make me accept the situation. 

"She is right, you know. I can see it in your eyes that you like him. For once this mad woman is right and I am with her in this. But, it's all up to you to agree to this feeling on your own. Because I can clearly see that you are afraid of accepting your own feelings for him and we don't want to force you into anything but anytime in future if you want our help then don't forget that we are there for you. You don't need to cry or frustrate all by yourself. Remember that" explained Charitha by side hugging me and smiling kindly and Sahana too hugged me from the other side at the same time and we all became trio there. I am happy to get these two idiots as my friends.

"Yes Charitha, you are right. We are there for you Athira" accepted Sahana while nodding her head in agreement still hugging us. I was glad that this guys became my friends and understood me with all my confused feelings.

"Thank you so much both of you for understanding me and respecting my decision" I said feeling thankful and happy tears formed at the corner of my eyes indicating that I became little emotional and even Sahana too observed it.  

"Hey girl, now don't become all emotional on me. I am already being so nervous due to our plan for tonight. So stop your drama and smile. Got it" she said standing from the couch and placing her hands on her hips giving me a look which made me laugh. She is such a drama queen.

"Ok madam. I am sorry that I cried. Happy?" I said wiping my tears and and showing her my hands for which she nodded her head in agreement. 

"Oh grandma, she became a bit emotional. No need to become a drama queen. We both know that your butt is on fire from today morning. Get your harmones in check. You will see Karthik within 2 to 3 hours ok" Said Charitha teasing her and winking at her to which she jumped on Charitha and they both started fighting by tickling each other. 

Immediately i got up from my sofa because I hate tickles and I don't want to get in the middle of their cat fight. Standing there i looked at both of them while they crawled on each other like small cats trying to stop each other. At last Sahana got the upper hand and Charitha surrendered herself becoming out of breath. 

"Now tell me sorry you looser" demanded Sahana sitting on top of her while holding her both hands. 

"Ok ok sorry. Now please leave me girl. I am out of breath" asked Charitha breathing hard and Sahana left both her hands with a look of satisfaction and proud on her face. I just shook my head in amusement and looked at both of my weird friends. 

"That's good. Now come. Will have to get ready and i have to make calls to our boys and inform them about the dinner" said Sahana giving us a look of all cunning and smirking at us to which we shook our heads while laughing and went to Charitha's bedroom to get ready for tonight.
