Don't Misunderstood!

"Thank your good looks since I won't argue with you because of that!" Shane can only say that even though the real reason was fear

Fear of Calix snitching her on Klein. She 'worked hard' to earn herself nice neals for 4 days, she definitely wouldn't dare mess that up

"Let's just go sit with Klein and that cool senior!" Liam said. He was completely brought by Dwayne giving him free snacks

"You guys go, I don't want to sit with that senior" Calix replied

He doesn't want to have even the slightest bit of interaction with a guy like that. Calix has never been fond of putting on a mask

Since he doesn't like Dwayne after learning what kind of person he really is, he doesn't plan on treating him in a friendly manner

"Hmph, rude! Senior is kind no matter what you say!" Liam stick his tongue out before walking in Klein's direction

"Dude, if you're jealous just say it" Shane commented while shaking her head. Why is Calix being this difficult? He should just go and admit his feelings and put on effort to make Klein fall for him!

"Just go if you don't want me to tell you on Klein" Calix said while waving his hand in a dismissing way

"Fine! How about you?" This time, Shane asked Cain that looked in Klein's direction and to his friend back and forth

In the end, Cain released a long sigh of breath. "I'll stay with Calix" Cain replied and Shane shrugs before going to Klein

As for Tristan, as usual, he was behind Liam following him as if he was walking a pet

"Hi, Klein, Hi senior!" Liam greeted the two as soon as he arrives. He even sat next to Klein while looking at the book the man was reading

As a result, Liam felt like his head would spin any moment from now. He really doesn't like studying, even just looking at a textbook was already a bit too much for him

"Where's Cain and that asshole?" Klein inquired. It's not like he misses those two, especially the latter

It's just that he was already used to mingling with Calix's group to the point that it feels wrong when those two are not present

"They are over there" Liam replied while pointing at a table far from them that causes Klein to arch his brows

"Why are they staying there?" Klein inquired. He won't be surprised if it was just Calix but also Cain? There is surely something wrong since at normal times, Cain would want to go where Klein is

Liam took a peek at Dwayne that smiled at him before he motioned for Klein to come closer to him

Although he was wondering why Liam was being secretive, Klein still moved closer to his friend that whispered in his ears

"Calix doesn't want to sit with Senior Dwayne and Cain joined him"

Hearing that, Klein's handsome face frowned. There is still that issue?

"What's wrong with that asshole?" Klein muttered. He was the one that has the most interaction with Dwayne among them but he didn't sense something wrong with him

Why is Calix set on wanting to make Dwayne the bad guy

Could it be....

Dwayne didn't hide his affection for Klein and he constantly flirted with him

Since Calix is a 'homophobic' guy,  could he have been doing this since he doesn't want to see two men flirting with each other?

Klein's toxic trait kicked in again. As long as he has a bad impression on someone,  he would always assume the worst when it comes to them

Because of that, Klein felt dissatisfied. How dare this Calix try to defame a perfectly nice person?

"What's wrong?" Dwayne asked in concern after seeing the drop of Klein's move

No matter who looks at him, they all would think that he was caring for Klein

"It's nothing,  excuse me for a second" Klein said as he stood up from his seat to confront Calix

"Argh, I wish I wasn't being punished. If not, I would be able to enjoy this show while fanning the flames" Shane said with a sigh

At normal times, she would have already go and watch the scene closely. Too bad that for her sake, she can only keep her silence for the time being

Klein approached Calix with a cold look on his face. This guy has always been getting on his nerves

"What?" Calix asked as soon as he saw Klein looking at him in that way

Just what did he do? He didn't even approach nor talk to Klein! What is it this time?

"What's your problem?" Klein asked back which instantly confuses Calix

"What are you talking about?"

"Why do you hate Senior Dwayne that much?"

Cain watched these two while moving his chair away from them. It'll be bad if he got involve in the fight between these two

"I already told you the reason. He's an asshole, he just wants to use you" Calix answered while rubbing his temples

Although they weren't talking loudly, the tension in the air can still be sensed by the people around

They wondered what is up with these two. Are they fighting for real?

"In my eyes, you are the only asshole here" Klein replied. It was too unbelievable that Dwayne is like what Calix was saying. For him, this was just Calix's scheme

"Then suit yourself. I'm not the one that would make a fool of myself and make me look stupid" Calix said back. Here he was, trying his best to prevent Klein from being exploited yet he received this kind of treatment

Whatever, Calix doesn't care anymore. His conscience is already clear since he tried to help Klein realize what kind of person Dwayne was

Since Klein doesn't want to listen to him then so be it. The result is not his fault any more

"Stupid?" Klein uttered. He remembered what Shane said earlier

Does Calix being the valedictorian of his batch puts too much air in his head? Is he looking down on Klein's intelligence?

It can be said that Klein's imagination is really... well, extreme when it comes to people he doesn't like. He still hasn't realized this toxic trait of his since he doesn't have much interaction with most of the people that he doesn't like

Calix is different though since their group of friends combined

"So you think I'm stupid? Fine! Let's see who is stupid. Not only would I bet that Senior is not a bad person just like what you are saying. I will also beat you in the prelims and have you give me a public apology!" Klein vowed

He really needs to put Calix in check

"Do whatever you want" Calix replied with a dismissing tone. This is not much of a challenge for him

Even if he were to lose Klein on the prelims, he is still a hundred percent sure that Dwayne is bad

Calix is not the type of person that finds joy in other people's suffering. However, with Klein being like this, he doesn't mind seeing that guy's reaction when he found out the truth about Dwayne

"Hmph!" Klein harrumphed before walking away to return to his desk and study

September 22 The Year 2022

"Argh, I feel like my brain would explode soon" Liam complained while looking at the reviewer in his hands

He can't help but look at Klein with resentment in his eyes. Liam felt like he studied for the whole college already

Because of that stupid bet between Klein and Calix, Liam was also forced to study

Klein had him and Shane ask him questions and Klein would also ask them some

It was quite an effective method but to the lazy Liam, that was akin to hell

If he knew that this would happen, he would prevent Klein and Calix from having that stupid bet!

"Stop complaining, you're making me lose my focus. We only have ten minutes left before the first exam" Klein said while motioning for Liam to stop talking

Today is finally the 'big day'. On this day, the first exam of Klein's college life would be held

The test shouldn't be that special after all, he is still in his first year of college and this is the first exam. It wasn't that hard nor too important yet

However, what distinguishes it from the other exam that Klein has was the result it would have

To not eat his own words and be shamed, Klein has to win at all cost!

"Why did the two of you even had that bet?" Liam asked with a pout and Klein ignored him

He focuses on memorizing and understanding as much as he can for the remaining time

Klein already studied all the possible topics that would be included in the exam. Even then, he was still being meticulous. Not even a single error can be made on his part

His opponent is another valedictorian after all!
