Dungeon Master Makeup Money

Lesson 5: Senior Situations

The next day, at the request of the Adventurer Guild, I told my family that I would not return for a few days, and they still worried me.

However, the village of Sails, which was asked to crusade, was more than a day away from the city of Alistair by carriage, and it was also necessary to camp along the way.

"Because it's okay. Never come back in a few days, so don't try to emulate the guild this time."

"Ok......"

If you reluctantly manage to convince yourself, you head to the city's north gate.

There were numerous merchants and adventurers out of the city who said it was early morning, and guards chased in response kept busy fighting drowsiness.

When I show my adventurer card too and finish the process, I leave the city gate.

"Oh, here you are!

As soon as I left the gate, Mr. Blaze, who I met at the Adventurer's Guild, discovered something about me.

Good. I heard about the rally in front of the gate, but I didn't hear about the detailed location, so it was helpful to find it from the other side.

"Nice to meet you today"

"Whoa!"

Mr. Blaze, the giant man, answers in a grand manner, but the party members are surprised. He turned his eyes to me. Well, all of a sudden you'll have trouble telling me about amateurs joining the party or something.

"First, let me introduce you to my people. I have a Hulbert over here."

- It's a warrior's guilders.

An adventurer of a man who says only his role and name.

Communication skills seemed low, but its oligarchy appearance was accompanied by a strong look on his face.

"As always, Gilderts is not a good lover."

A tall but muscular man adventurer who was laughing at the look of it.

"Non is Gray. As you can see, it's a dwarf, and at the party, we use our shields to defend ourselves."

His body was small because of the dwarf on his right hand. His body was gripping a shield that seemed to fit perfectly.

"Heh, this is the newbie adventurer you're supposed to take care of?

"Strength... what do you think?

Attention to Mr. Gray's shield, two women were observing me with a nicotine grin.

"I am Marianne. You might be able to predict from the way he looks in his wand and robe, but he's a wizard."

"I'm Lishua. In my case, it's hard to tell from the equipment, but I'm an alchemist. I have all kinds of items for the party. Especially the last one with the golden bug."

"Hey, I'm hearing you!

A voice flew from the carriage.

I thought it was a five-man party, but it looks like the other one stayed with the carriage. Even though you're just around the corner, you can't leave a carriage unattended, which can be considered party property.

"The last guy is Nathan. I said the weapon he was using was a gun. I can't help but put money on the bullet, but he never wants to use it as another weapon. So, the bullet is asking for Alchemist Lishua."

"If it's true, I want it to be another weapon because it's hard to just build one shot..."

Even the same ranged weapon has a bow.

But I never let go even if I was to spend most of my rewards adjusting my gun and replenishing the bullet because of my unusual detention on the gun.

"This is our party. The destination village of Sails will be travelled by carriage. Even if it's temporary, you're gonna be a part of our party, so let's not go with Nashi."

"Thank you. Okay, let me get you on board."

"... he's serious"

The destination, Sails Village, I also check when they show me the map in the Adventurer's Guild, but it's far from Alistair's city, and it's more rural than the village I was in.

The request had been made by the village chief of Sails, who wanted the village to crusade before the damage occurred, as demons consisting of several flocks had settled in the nearby woods.

It's dangerous, but a B-rank adventurer can handle it without a problem. However, it was also due to the fact that the client was a 'village', which was really underpaid.

For that reason, other B-rank adventurers and C-rank adventurers didn't want to take it until they risked it.

Mr. Blades told me about the circumstances around there in the carriage.

The carriage owner, by the way, was also held by Mr. Nathan as a watchman. As a musketeer, I hear Mr. Nathan had a tough job that allowed him to have a wide field of view. That's how they get paid more for taking the initiative and undertaking a tough job.

"Um, why did you guys want to take a C-rank request when you're B-ranked?

Mr. Rooty told me too, but I decided to ask him what he cared about.

I wasn't so constrained by rewards because I was trying to learn a lot from senior adventurers. But it seems that the reward of the request when you're listening to Mr. Blades is low as something that B-rank adventurers receive.

"Right. From people who don't know what's going on with us, it just seems like they're getting unprofitable jobs."

"But the village of Sails is an important place for us."

"An important place?

"Oh, we're all adventurers from Sails' village"

I understood it in that language.

They were asked not to pay, but to protect their homeland.

"We're childhood friends. They are all second or third sons who cannot carry on their parents' fields or work. I ran away from the village because I was disgusted with the future of living secluded in the village or marrying someone. I tried to convince my parents to leave the village, but the country parents are stubborn. Everyone was against quitting because it was dangerous."

The reaction, I can somehow imagine.

When I said I would continue my adventurer, my family objected to me.

"If you realize that, you're a B-rank adventurer. Lucky for us, we can't get this far without strength."

"In the meantime, a crusade request may be made by the village. I crusaded a demon who appeared near the village to apologize for worrying, but thank you so much. Since then, I've been taking the initiative to help people in need in my hometown."

I was convinced why they would take the request after hearing the explanations from Mr. Blades.

Stand up to help your hometown.

The feeling was also felt when I was trying to be a soldier to protect the village.

But now I didn't feel like doing anything against my hometown village.

"Mars, why did you want to be an adventurer?

Mr. Lishua asks.

You can't not not not talk about this because you've even heard them leap out of the village as well as run away for independence.

"Actually, my father was missing and I was in debt at some point. I became an adventurer and challenged the labyrinth to pay it back."

"Well, Mars, you just became an adventurer."

Mr. Marianne was listening to me and circling her eyes.

"Yes, you just became an adventurer about ten days ago. I tried my first day at the labyrinth."

Was it very surprising that on the first day?

"You can't be unscrupulous. They say we are adventurers, but we must not have reckless adventures. You have to take an adventure that was in your power. Otherwise, an adventurer will die soon."

The word had some weight.

He said he was lucky and had become a B-rank adventurer at some point, but I guess there was a lot going on by then.

"Yes, I'll be careful. I'm not going to be impotent because I got hurt when I dived into the labyrinth"

Let me open my status fully when I'm in a more unscrupulous situation than that.

There are no early situations where you can't cut through with more than 10,000 statuses.

"But thanks to my dive into the labyrinth, I also got the money I needed to pay off my debt from the chest, and I was able to get the gear I was doing right now."

"Oh, I was wondering about that gear, too."

Lishua was stopping by and touching her coat.

"Yeah. I'm pretty sure coats and shoes are quite a trade, not just swords, after all. I was wondering why a new adventurer had such a substitute, but if you say you got it in the labyrinth, I'm convinced."

Mr. Lishua was observing my gear with serious eyes.

"If you like, look it up until you feel comfortable"

"Are you sure!?

"Yes, even for me, it's something I got in the labyrinth, so it's helpful to have a solid look at it because I don't know how powerful it is"

Apparently, his arm as an alchemist is certain, but he doesn't have 'appraisal' or any other skills, so he won't have a problem getting a look at it.

"Come on, keep it that way."

"I know, I know."

The Blades were laughing when they heard Mr Lishua's reply.

Yeah, sounds like a pretty good party.
