Eagle of the Valley of Ice and Fire

Chapter 103 Tyrion in King's Landing

Cersei sat on the round chair in the dormitory, the lioness' head raised proudly, looking at Tyrion with lowered eyes.

"Where is father? He should stay in King's Landing and protect the king," Cersei said.

Tyrion leaned forward to reach for the red wine bottle on the table, sniffed it slightly, and smiled, "Sweet taste." He smacked his lips.

Seeing his sister's increasingly impatient expression, Tyrion answered aloud: "Jaime is missing. Robb Stark's men, plus the army from the Riverlands, have nearly 30,000 men threatening the West. The man in charge of Casterly Rock is Ser Stafford Lannister."

Cersei frowned, her curly blond hair bending over her pink shawl. The queen moved, "I'm talking about father. His army from the West should stay in King's Landing."

"It seems you don't care about your brother, my brother," Tyrion frowned.

"You have no idea!" Cersei stood up, her face full of anger. "You have no idea how many nights I prayed hard and cried secretly. You don't know anything."

Tyrion straightened his sitting posture, "Praying hard? Crying secretly?" He looked at Cersei with disappointment, "Then we have something in common. We both love Jaime deeply."

He recalled Lancel Lannister's "voluntary confession" to him. Tyrion did not believe that his sister would "pray hard" and "cry secretly" when his blond cousin came in and out of the room every night.

Cersei snorted and turned her back to Tyrion.

"You haven't told me why my father is not in King's Landing," Cersei said.

Tyrion sighed, "I want to establish a common sense in your head, the common sense of numbers."

"What?" Cersei turned to look at her dwarf brother with disdain, "Let's see what common sense can come out of your sharp-toothed mouth." The queen smiled disdainfully.

Tyrion raised three fingers and said, "Thirty thousand, this is the last army that can be mobilized in the West. My father has 20,000 people, and Casterly Rock can only manage to raise 10,000 recruits after the final mobilization."

He raised four fingers with his left hand again, "Forty thousand, this is the combined force of Robb Stark and the Riverlands, of which 30,000 are threatening the West and 10,000 are marching towards King's Landing."

Tyrion raised his hands, "Guess what, one hundred thousand, Renly's army."

Cersei's dignified toasting gesture was a little forced at the moment, and Tyrion noticed that her fingers trembling slightly as she raised the cup, "We will win, and the gods will bless the legitimate king."

"The Mad King was also a legitimate monarch, but he was defeated at the hands of Robert Baratheon, your husband." Tyrion said.

Cersei moved to the edge of the bed, bent down, stroked the bed with one hand, and sat on it slightly absentmindedly.

Seeing this, Tyrion climbed down from the chair, "Maybe next time you can change to a shorter chair. This is too high for your lovely brother."

A sarcastic sneer came from Cersei's mouth again, "Cute?" she asked, "Next time I change the chair, let's call it a dwarf chair."

Tyrion saw that some of the sadness on his sister's face had faded, and he was secretly relieved. He also felt a little incredible about his behavior. He would actually try to comfort his sister who was so mean to him?

"You know?" Tyrion said, "We could have made a truce with the Northerners, or rather, we would not have been enemies of the North in the first place."

Cersei didn't seem to hear, sipping her wine.

"Your unnecessary actions are what you call Ed Stark's treason and usurpation." Tyrion tried to say in a relaxed tone.

"He is, he is treason!" Cersei scolded.

"God," Tyrion sighed in annoyance, "can one family stop talking about two families? Father is very angry at your unnecessary actions."

Cersei stopped talking. She stayed where she was. Tyrion could only see Cersei's face from the side.

"If Renly, or Stannis, or Robb Stark, any of them attack King's Landing," Tyrion lowered his voice, "Joffrey will die."

Cersei slapped her with such force that Tyrion felt dizzy. He stared at Cersei with wide eyes.

"Xiao Qiao cannot die. He is the legal king. He is a lion. How could a lion be killed by a flock of sheep?" Cersei trembled her lips and spoke decisively, but tears hung on the edge of her eyes, exposing her Her weakness.

"There are no sheep who are our enemies." Tyrion covered his face, feeling burning pain. There is a giant bloodthirsty wolf that gives birth to a calf, and there is a stag that refuses to obey anyone wearing a crown. In short, there is no good fault.

Tyrion quietly walked to the edge of the bed and looked at his tearful sister. It was a strange sight.

"If it's Stannis," Tyrion said.

"If it's Stannis, he'll take out Young Joe, Tommen, and..." Cersei looked aimlessly, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Myrcella" Tyrion said smoothly, and after he said it, he wanted to slap his mouth.

"They will all be hanged by Stannis, all." Cersei took a deep breath, raised her head, and reached for the handkerchief beside her.

Tyrion picked up the handkerchief that fell on the floor and handed it to Cersei.

Cersei hesitated for a moment, then took it and wiped the tears from her face.

"We need allies." Tyrion approached Cersei, and his sister seemed stunned, not slapping him as before to keep his disgusting brother away.

"Who?" Cersei turned to look at Tyrion, her eyes showing disbelief, "Who is willing to help Joffrey, who is surrounded by enemies?"

"It makes me happy to know that you are all enemies, my sister," Tyrion said with some surprise, "They are all our enemies, but there are not gaps between enemies."

"The Vale, Dorne, and the Iron Islands." Tyrion named these places.

"The Vale?" Cersei's smile was filled with bitterness. "If I remember correctly, Attis Arryn let the wolf cub cross the river. If he hadn't let the northerners cross, Jaime wouldn't have been there at all. There is no trace after meeting, and the army in the valley is also following the northerners to the south. How can we be friends? "

"Attis Arryn brought Robb Stark across the Green Fork, but at the same time blocked their retreat. The only pressure King's Landing faced from the north, at least at this time, was Roose Bolton. 10,000 northern troops,"

Tyrion told Cersei, "As for the Vale army following the northerners south, come on, listen carefully to what the scouts said, there is no crescent falcon banner of House Arryn, only the rune pebble banner of House Royce. "

"I can't think of any difference," Cersei said, pouty.

"The difference is huge, sister," Tyrion said. "The Vale, Dorne, the Iron Islands, and Renly and Stannis, who seem to be a family, are all enemies in the West. We do not deny this, but"

Tyrion smiled slightly. He was comforting his sister and trying to comfort himself, "But we can all use it. Maybe the Seven Gods always favor the seemingly unfavorable party and let him make a comeback in desperate situations, right?"
