45. This Fragrance

Yahui looked at Tang Miaoyu’s pitiful eyes and glanced at the VIP ward before saying, “It seems to be the private ward of our President Jiang Tianxing’s lover.”

Tang Miaoyu widened her eyes and was about entering the VIP passageway even more doubtfully. But suddenly she heard a sweet laughter coming from the passageway…

Yahui immediately pulled Tang Miaoyu to the side and said nervously, “Don’t mess around!”

Tang Miaoyu kept silent and fixed on the passageway.

Qin Weiye, wearing  a silver grey suit, a black tie and a badge gently supported a beautiful lady walking out of the passageway like a Prince Charming. He was followed by two officers. There were even two police dogs, led like warriors by the two officers.

Tang Miaoyu stared at the lady. She was attractive and gentle. She wore a pink spinning dress with a white fur coat on her shoulder. She leaned against Qin Weiye’s arms and smiled softly, “Actually, you don’t need to come here specially. It’s not a big deal. I’m fine now. I know you are busy…”

Qin Weiye looked at his wife with a gentle look in his eyes. He rubbed her arm gently and chuckled, “My wife is in hospital. How can I not come? I came as soon as I heard that you’re hospitalized.”

Rumo just smiled gently and then leaned into her husband’s arms, walking forward.

The strong fragrance of roses appeared again! It was as if the fragrance had formed a pink world around Rumo!

Tang Miaoyu’s tears suddenly welled up from her eyes. The grievances in her heart urged her. She bit her teeth, choked, and rushed forward indignantly and sorrowfully!

“What are you doing?” The two officers suddenly rushed forward and pushed Tang Miaoyu to the ground!

Suddenly, two police dogs jumped out and roared at Miaoyu!

“Ah…” Tang Miaoyu was frightened. She crouched on the ground with her head in her arms, crying in fear!

Qin Weiye and Rumo looked at the skinny girl on the ground in surprise.

“Miaoyu…” Yahui pounced over nervously, hugging Tang Miaoyu. Seeing the two police dogs staring at her horribly, she immediately trembled and her hair stood on end with fright. She hurriedly hugged Miaoyu and lowered her head, not daring to make a sound.

Seeing Yahui, Rumo suddenly remembered that she was the girl she met in the storm today. She immediately lowered her head and silently leaned into her husband’s arms, pretending to be terrified!

Qin Weiye held his wife tightly and asked in a stern voice, “Who are you? What do you want to do? ”

Tang Miaoyu suddenly raised her head, looked at Rumo and shouted excitedly, “It’s you!”

Rumo immediately looked at Miaoyu with terror. Suddenly, she noticed that under the cover of her black hair, Miaoyu’s left face seemed to have had a terrible scar.

“Miaoyu!” Yahui hugged her tightly. All she wanted to do now was to pull Miaoyu away.

Tang Miaoyu continued shedding her tears in excitement. She wanted to rush over but retreated after seeing two dogs staring at her with sharp teeth. She felt a chill in her heart.

“Let’s go. It might be a madwoman…” Looking at Yahui’s eyes, Rumo didn’t say anything more but dragged her husband away.

Seeing that Rumo was about to leave, Tang Miaoyu almost blurted out. Suddenly, her face stiffened, for she had found the fragrance drifting over from another source, which was even more intense. She was shocked and then looked back at the direction of another deep corridor.

Rumo kept silent and asked her husband not to pursue them. She walked forward in Qin Weiye’s arms while turning back to look at Miaoyu on the ground.

Tang Miaoyu’s eyes blinked, and she subconsciously used her sense of smell. She felt that the other source was getting farther and farther. After hesitating for a while, she quickly walked towards the fragrance with her bare feet.

“Miaoyu!” Yahui followed behind Tang Miaoyu in confusion. She walked forward and shouted anxiously, “What’s wrong with you?”

Tang Miaoyu didn’t say a word, but just walk through the long corridor. Following the fragrance, she actually walked out of the hall. Looking blankly at the people outside the hospital, she felt that everyone was covered with that special fragrance. Yet the source disappeared in front of the door.

Her heart suddenly sank. She stepped out of the hall in a daze, and then a cold wind blew over. The fragrance was finally replaced by the fresh air after the rain.

Tang Miaoyu stood at the door in despair, looking at the gray winter sky. The banyan tree was still full of lively green while the Phoenix tree in the distance was drab. Branches reached out to the sky. Countless passers-by under the tree walked by and their faces were covered with a pale and indifference.

Her heart ached inexplicably.

“Miaoyu, what’s wrong with you?” Yahui approached Tang Miaoyu and asked.

Tang Miaoyu still closed her mouth, only looked at the world in front of her blankly. It seemed that those cruel, vicious things and conspiracies had already settled in this dead winter. Everything was irrevocable, only the kiss of that man in the darkness could still be felt on her lips, making her heart ache.

She suddenly recalled his promise in the darkness. She asked lightly, “Yahui…”
