46. Three Years Later

Early summer!

The sun shone on the earth, making the whole world glow.

In the center of the city, the World Trade Building was like a heavenly pillar, reflecting silvery blue light and soaring into the sky.

Many luxury cruise ships were steering into the harbour. Many luxurious cars were running around the city center. The black asphalt roads stretched through the city. They interwound with each other, showing a strong vitality.

A black long stretch Benz car, which was 12 meters long, drove through the wide twelve-lane driveways. By the white lamp standards, the car slowly passed through the Asian Platinum Club. Along the coast highway, it was heading towards the worldly famous Asian Grand Hotel.

The Asian Grand Hotel, was a first-class hotel in the world, it was also regarded as the first seven-star hotel in the whole world. The entertainment facilities and top service in the hotel had great reputation in the industry. The Asian Grand Hotel was composed of three silver oval-shaped buildings built by the ocean. The top architect built these three buildings on the sea. A ten-story platform taking up around 28 square kilometers was designed like a huge sail. It stretched out under the three skyscrapers.

Countless helicopters slowly flew past. Passengers in them looked down at the city. They were amazed by the modern and dynamic design of Asia Grand Hotel. It was the best scenery of the city.

The stretch Benz slowly drove to the main hall of the Asian Grand Hotel!

The luxurious main hall was three-thousand square kilometers. In the hall, three managers in black uniform walked out. They tidied up their tags and then let out a soft sigh of relief. After that, they quickly walked out of the hall with a couple of receptionists in white uniforms. The general manager, Huo Ming, stepped forward and opened the door of the Benz car. With the most professional courtesy, he said respectfully, “Miss Su…”

Su Ling was Su’s granddaughter. Today, she was going to hold a benefit concert in the theatre of the Asian Grand Hotel. She was wearing a pink short dress, a pair of white gloves with lace, and a snow-white hat. With the general manage leading the way, Su Ling passed through the resplendent hall. A roaming golden dragon was depicted on the ceiling. The longest and best digital chandelier in the world shone the most dazzling light, under which the whole main hall was magnificent like a palace.

She smiled with satisfaction and said to the general manager, “I heard that the newly constructed theatre in the Asian Grand Hotel is one of the best in the world. If it is not too much trouble, please show us around the theatre…”

“It will be our honor!” The general manager immediately replied with a smile, and led Su Ling to the theatre.

The front desk manager, Xu Zeming was almost 30 years old. He was wearing a black uniform. When he passed the general manager, he first bowed to the general manager respectfully, and then rushed outside. The moment he walked out the door and came to the open area in front of the hall, he saw Yahui who was wearing the black uniform and a white shirt with butterfly-shaped bow. She was standing next to the white pillar and waiting for someone anxiously. Xu Zeming came to Yahui’s side and asked solemnly, “Is she here?”

Yahui immediately turned her head and looked at the front desk manager with an apologetic look. She faked a smile and said, “She’s almost here! Please just wait for one more second!”

Xu Zeming didn’t seem pleased. He said, “Yahui! The only reason I hired her this time was because of you! But you must promise that she would make absolutely no mistake, nor will she do anything that may blemish the reputation of our hotel!”

Yahui immediately comforted Xu Zeming, “I promise! It’s not going to happen! She is super clever! She won’t cause any trouble. Besides, she has a few years of working experiences in bars. She is totally qualified for this job, and she is very professional when facing the customers. Please rest assured!”

Hearing this, Xu Zeming still looked forward suspiciously and said, “Since she is so professional and punctual, why will she be late?”

“Maybe she got held up by something. Please just wait a moment!” Yahui apologized. Then she stared at the coast highway afar and said with a sigh, “Damni it! Where the hell are you?”
