Falling In Love With A Broken Hearted Man

"Hey girl! You're always preoccupied these past few days, huh? What's bothering you again?" Samantha and Jessy asked while we're eating our breakfast.

I just looked at them and turn to my food again. I would sighed and pursed my lips as If I cannot mutter what's on my mind. It's hard to reach out with someone right now. I'm afraid to be judge.

But I'm not saying that my friends are judgemental, I just don't want them to think of something about me and Noah. I know it would pissed them once they got to know about what happened that night..

"Gia, can you knock on this bitch's head? She's obviously out of nowhere! Hey, where's your soul?" Jessy rudely asked.

I just glared at her before starting to eat my food again. "Don't you forget that you haven't told me about what happened that night, huh..." She grinned.

I sighed. "I told you, there's nothing happened that night."

"Are you sure?" Gia teased.

"Or you're just hiding it because you're shy?" Sam also smirked and she even poke my waist.

"Oh damn, stop it guys,"

"Just tell us and we're going to stop.." Jessy tucked her tongue out while Sam and Gia crossed their hands.

"How many times do I have to make you believed me, huh? You don't even listen to what I'm trying to explain,"

"It's because you're lying my friend," Sam placed her arms around my shoulder.

I roll my eyes, trying to pick up the wooden bowl that's full of pancakes. "She must tasted heaven that night.."

"Oh my god," I whispered, trying to process what Jessy said. I would never do that!

"Did someone touched you aside from kissing that night?" Jessy smirked. "How does it feel to flirt with someone, huh? Did you felt--"

"Damn it. We're eating guys!" My eyes widened and gestured the food in front of us.

God! Why won't they stop!

"If I know you're just shy.." Jessy added. "I'm so proud of you, bitch!"

My mouth formed an 'o' as I looked at them one by one and their faces were the same! Oh my god.

I just shook my head and tried to focus on my food, because Jacob might be here soon. There will be 4 days to go before we finish our internship. I am so happy.

"Take care of her, Jacob! Don't let her get in another man's arms again or else she might be in trouble--"

"Oh shut up, Jessy!" I shouts, my cheeks heated.

I heard her laugh but I just ignored it and started to walk out of the apartment. I can feel Jacob's presence behind me and I can feel the awkwardness around us. I don't know why I'm feeling that but, It just suddenly happened..

"Let's have our lunch together later, I'll go to your floor," He reminded before we entered the company.

The ride was so quiet earlier and we didn't get to talk to each other that much. He just asked me if I already eat and that's the end of our conversation.

Everyone was greeting us when we get inside and I also greet them back. It's a nice feeling having these kind of people inside this company and I'm pretty happy because we got to know them easily.

I placed my bag on my table as soon as I arrived our room.

"Good morning.." I greeted everyone and they're all stop what they're doing and gave me smile.

I was so nervous when we had our meeting at the office, because they might suggest that I'm going to take the proposal again. It's such a crazy feeling for waiting like a freakin' cat like that. But thankfully, It wasn't because of that..

"Since this is the last week of Ms. Scott, we're gonna give you a simple award by keeping a good work in our team.." Ms. Elaine said, she opened the wine and gestured me to take the glass.

I nodded and do what she ordered. And when I finally offered her the glass, she immediately pour some wine on it.

"We're going to miss you, Raine.." Mr. Brown says, pouting his lips.

"Stop acting cute, it doesn't suits you!" Ms. Demi slapped his shoulder.

"You're being a violent again, Ms. Demi!" He complains.

"Just shut up man, you know Raine thinks that you looked stupid.." Mr. Dawson laughed.

"Thank you guys!" I can't express how greatful I am  but I'm really happy that they appreciated my effort and dedication.

It was like a dream come true..

We drank the wine with our glasses and eat a lot of pizza on our table. It's simple but very touching..

"You need to eat this, it will be a brain food for you so you can easily do the tasks that they ordered you.." Jacob placed all the vegetables on my tray which made me rolled my eyes.

If I know, he just doesn't like vegetables! He's a carnivore creature and he doesn't eat that much green leafy vegetables.

"I'm still full, you can have this all," I offered him my whole tray.

His mouth parted and stared at the food in front of him, "And you're expecting me to eat your left overs?" He asked sarcastically.

"Of course not! You're such a tease! You can go back to your bed now!"

"Oh." He held his chest and nodded.

He suddenly became serious as we're quietly eating our lunch. I'm literally full but because he doesn't have someone to eat with, I just forced myself to eat even if it's just a little.

"About that night.." He started, biting his lips. I suddenly felt nervous after earing it. "Why did you..end up lying on the couch while you looked like you just got into a huge party?"

"I am too drunk that night to remember what happened on that party, Jacob.."

I heard his deep sighed and it sends a shiver down to my spine. I tried to avoid it but I can't. Oh my gosh, being me is kind of hard sometimes..

"My friends dared me.." I initiated to tell him.

And with that, my last statement wale him up.. I bit my lower lip in embarrassment oh god.

"What?" His brows furrowed like he doesn't like what he have heard.

I told him about the dare and after that, he just looked so betrayed and pissed off. I suddenly feel like he doesn't like what happened. He is really hard to pleased, grr.

"You--what?!" He repeated. "D-did you kissed someone, there?"

He swallowed hard. Pain flushed through his face and I can't help but nod. I don't have a plan to hold this any longer.

I immediately shook my head, "No,"

He sighed and smiled after that. He's not thinking that I make out with someone there, huh..

I lied to him and I had no other choice. I was too embarrassed and up until now, I can't seem to move on with that part. The destiny might be teasing me!

"That's good. I can't afford seeing you with another men," he looked so serious when he said that.

"Why?" I drank some water.

"I just don't..like it.." He licked his bottom lip and looked away.

His face heated which made me laugh again. He's just so cute when he's doing that! I haven't seen him being this childish in front of me.

"Stop it, Raine. Why are you filming me?" He sounds so annoyed.

"Nothing. Just in case that I'll get bored, I have your cutest picture at least.." I smirked.

He roll his eyes and gestured me to sit next to him, "What?!" My eyes widened.

But he just smirked and gestured me again. Okay, I don't have a choice again.

I released a heavy breath before sitting next to him.

"Don't let other man touch or kiss you, okay?" He said while wiping my mouth with a soft fabric in his hands.

I don't know but my heart suddenly sank for that. He wiped it while our faces are so closed. And after that, he immediately distance himself from me like he's being burn with a fire with me.

"Why would I do that? I'll kiss someone if I want to!" I pursed my lips. "And don't try to control what I wanted to do with my life, Jacob. I'll kill you if you do that," I glared at him.

He chuckled and patted my head, "Will you kiss me, then?" He asked which literally shocked me.

His lips played together while he's looking at my lips. He tries to moved his face closer to me but I immediately looked away and covered my mouth.

"I don't kiss my friends, Jacob.." I gently pushed his face away and smirked. "That lips must taste good but I don't plan to taste it.."

His mouth left parted after that. I stood up and offered my hand to him. He even blinked like he doesn't seem to understand what I said, but when I pressed his wrist his attention suddenly diverted into mine.

"Let's go. I need to finish my last task for today. I'll kill you if I came late," I warned.

But he just stared at me like he can't believed what's happening. He would open his mouth and then he'll closed it again. Like what the fuck? Is he trying to say something or what.

Geez.

When I can't wait for his answer, I immediately arched a brow at him. But it didn't last long because I find him very funny. He looked so serious oh my god.

"Why can't I kiss you?" His brows furrowed again.

The smile on my face faded with what he said. He removed my hand on his wrist and faced me. He's now glaring at me while pouting. "What?" He looked so irritated.

I laughed, "Because you're my friend.."
