170 Xion Is Badly Injured
"Why didn't you dodge his attack?" asked Emma anxiously. She didn't think Xion could be defeated by Heron like this. Wasn't he also a cryomancer? Why could Heron hit him with ice attacks?
"My energy is drained," said Xion in a low voice. He closed his eyes and tried to endure the pain in his chest. "And they cheated ..."
Heron's ice blow hit Xion's chest with immense force. Xion's energy was drained so much because he immediately decided to do something as soon as he realized that Prince Heron was going to ambush them in Daneria.
He time-traveled right before Izia came to grab Emma. That was why he disappeared, and Emma thought he left her all alone. He came back right after Emma started to fight Izia.
Manipulating time was not something Xion could do anytime he pleased. It required so much energy and if he wasn't careful, he could also get injured or get stuck in a different timeline.
What he did today caused him to lose so much energy and thus made him vulnerable. Because Xion was weak, Mayn managed to attack him with mind control and ordered his body to not move when the attack from Heron arrived.
"How bad is your injury?" asked Emma as she cast fire in her hand and tried to warm Xion's body. "On a scale of 1 to 10?"
"Se-ven..." Xion replied weakly. Then he passed out.
Emma hurriedly caught Xion's head from hitting the floor. She turned to Therius and shouted. "We must immediately chase Heron and prevent him from destroying Coralia!"
Therius, who grabbed Mayn's neck with a murderous expression, narrowed his eyes and looked at man closely. Without saying anything, he then slammed the man's body onto the floor.
He lit a fire around Mayn so that the man could not escape.
After Therius slammed him to the floor, Mayn curled up and clutched his sore neck. He felt like his neck was about to break because the prince was chocking him so hard. Mayn believed that if Therius had continued it for another thirty seconds, he would be dead now.
He didn't mind dying though, as long as his master managed to escape. He had served Prince Heron's family for decades and he was very loyal to them. He would not let the young prince die at the hands of his enemies, while Mayn was still breathing.
"Xion is badly injured," said Emma when Therius came over to them. "We have to take him to the doctor. We must also prevent your mad cousin from destroying our ship!"
Therius nodded. He lifted Xion's body and immediately dashed out of the hall, followed by Emma.
"You take care of Xion, let me chase after my cousin," Therius said. Emma nodded anxiously.
Many soldiers guarding Coralia's ship, were trying to block them from entering, but Therius swiftly made them fall asleep at once. He was not worried about using his telemancy since people would all think it was Emma's doing. Dozens of soldiers lay at the entrance, and it was easy for Therius and Emma to get inside.
"Doctor Salas! Where is Doctor Salas or Atila??!!" cried Therius impatiently. He could not let Heron escape. If his threat was true, then Therius, Emma, Xion, and all the Coralia ship's crews' lives were in danger.
He did not think that his secret mission to Earth would finally be uncovered. It was all planned very meticulously. He had prepared a rogue mission as a decoy that would distract his cousins. The decoy even left with his regular security team.
If Heron found out the truth, that means someone from Therius's side had betrayed him, and he must find out who it was.
Everyone on the Coralia ship looked panicked upon seeing Therius come carrying the injured Xion. They could see that Xion's condition was quite severe with his body still covered in ice. They could only guess that the young man received an attack from a formidable cryomancer.
"Sir, Prince Heron ordered us to stay here, and he assigned a lot of soldiers to guard our ship," said Doctor Salas, who came hurrying. "We're not allowed to go out."
"Saul is still in the hall. You guys hurry and save him. The soldiers guarding outside have all been taken care of," Therius said quickly. He carried Xion with long strides towards Doctor Salas' clinic.
"Excuse me, Sir, but we dare not disobey a prince's orders," said a black-haired man who walked along with Therius. "Prince Heron has clearly said we can only await orders from him."
That man is the vice-captain named Eris. Therius immediately realized that the Coralia ship's crew still did not know who he really was and thought that Prince Heron's orders were more important than his orders.
"We don't have much time, Eris," said Therius. "If we don't get out of here, this ship will be destroyed. Heron wants to kill us all."
The faces of the people around him were filled with shocked expressions. They didn't expect the mission leader to say such a thing.
"Do you want to live or die?" said Emma. "Come on, quickly do what he said!"
"You go to the hall and wake Saul. He will tell you who I am," Therius said impatiently. "Come on, hurry up. He's in there with the others!"
Eris only hesitated for a moment. He immediately ran down from the ship and looked for Saul as Therius ordered.
Meanwhile, Therius, Emma, and Natan arrived at the clinic and quickly placed Xion in one of medical capsules. Natan immediately got to work and tried to treat Xion's injury while Emma stood on his side, trying to help.
"Something must have happened to make Xion this weak," Therius said. "You stay here and keep an eye on him, I'll go after Heron."
Without waiting for Emma to reply, Therius immediately ran out and darted flying, looking for Heron. He wouldn't let his stupid cousin get away after attacking him openly like this.
