Finding Stardust
171 We Don't Have Much Time
"Thank you, Miss, but there is nothing you can do here. At this time, you need to calm down first. We will take good care of Sir Xion," said Natan calmly.
Emma was relieved to see the composure Natan showed. Ah, indeed, the doctors she had met were always coolheaded and showed a calm attitude. This made her mind lighter.
Well ... should she find Therius and help him catch Heron?
Emma finally tapped Atila's shoulder and told her to watch Xion and help Natan. "Please take good care of my friend here. I will go find Therius!"
After saying that, she immediately ran as fast as she could to get out of the ship.
"Miss! Sir Therius asked you to stay here ...!" cried Nathan, but Emma didn't hear him. The girl had disappeared.
Emma saw the soldiers who were ordered to guard their ship outside were still lying asleep on the ground. From the direction of the Daneria main research building, she saw Eris and Saul hurriedly walking. They shouted some orders to their men.
The two men's faces were pale and looked extremely worried. Emma read their minds and found that Saul still remembered Heron's words back in the hall calling Therius as Prince Licht.
So, now the captain knew that the mission leader he had been assisting in the Coralia ship for over 8 months was not an ordinary person, but the Crown Prince himself.
Eris was very surprised to know this info and hurriedly ordered the crew to get ready to take the Coralia ship back home to Akkadia. They didn't know what Prince Heron was up to, but they could guess that it was definitely not a good thing, for they knew of the fierce enmity between Prince Licht and Prince Heron.
"Miss! Where is His Highness now?" asked Saul when he saw Emma darted off the ship.
"I'll be looking for him right away," said Emma. "You guys get ready to leave this place immediately."
Before she could fly in another direction, Emma heard Therius' voice speaking to her, even though the man was not there.
'Please take Mayn to the ship. We need him to be a witness. I left him in the hall surrounded by fire. Only you can take him out of there safely.'
Emma furrowed her brows. Ah ... Therius must be using telemancy, she thought quickly.
'Where are you? Did you catch your bastard cousin?' she asked back.
'No. That jerk has managed to escape, and his ship has already left for space. We must immediately go and avoid the battleship he brought with him. We won't win if we face them head-on."
'Okay. I'll take Mayn. You hurry back to the ship.'
With a wave of her hand, Emma extinguished the flames and then dragged Mayn's frail body out of the hall. She tied the man's hands together with strong vines and dragged him easily toward the ship. Emma did not care at all about the man screaming in pain.
The people who had started to wake up from Therius' magic that put them to sleep earlier were astonished to see what was happening.
They did not remember why the hall caught fire, and why they were lying on the floor, while Heron and his men were gone. He only left behind several dozen soldiers guarding the base.
"Miss .. what's wrong? Why the hall turns into a mess?" asked Professor Amara in confusion as she tried to walk in line with Emma's steps. The girl walked quickly while dragging Mayn's body. "Why did you drag Mr. Mayn? Where's His Highness?"
"Professor, Heron tried to kill Therius, and he almost succeeded. We have to leave immediately. You can see what was happening through the camera footage in the hall. You must send a messenger ship to Akkadia to inform them of what is going on here," said Emma. "while we will try to escape and find safety."
"Oh .. All right, Miss..." said Professor Amara swiftly. She then turned back to the hall and immediately coordinated with her men to clean up the mess.
Emma arrived on the plane at the same time as Therius. The young man's face looked irritated.
"Thank you for your help," said Therius. "Unfortunately, I missed my cousin. Heron was very fast. They immediately left Daneria. Based on his threat, if we want to chase him, we will be destroyed by the battleship he has with him."
"Yes, I know that too," said Emma.
"Wait a minute," Therius patted Emma on the shoulder and stopped in his track. He then gave a signal to the two crew members to take over Main's body from Emma. "Take this traitor to Doctor Salas' clinic. Tell him this man is my prisoner. He must be treated, but provide strict security around him."
"Yes, Sir." The two big men were amazed to see Emma, a young girl who looked so tender, was able to drag Mayn so easily.
They then took over Mayn's body and carried him to the clinic.
"Then, what should we do now?" asked Emma. "We don't have much time."
"That's right. We shouldn't stay long in Daneria. Heron might destroy the entire base just to destroy The Coralia ship and kill me."
At that time, Emma really felt very angry with Heron for trying to hurt the people she cared about. At the same time, she also felt sympathy for Therius. As it turned out, being a crown prince was a dangerous thing. Even Therius' own cousins wanted his death and were willing to kill many people to get rid of him.
Politics is a disgusting thing.
They both walked briskly to the bridge and coordinate with Saul and Eris.
"Uhm, by the way... your real name is..." Emma turned to the side while walking together with Therius. "Licht?"
Therius nodded, but he refused to explain further.
