Finding Stardust

174 The Dragonite

"Ugh ..." Therius' voice sounded frustrated, causing Emma to turn her head towards him. She saw the man clench his fists to the sides. She could see the worried and angry expressions on Therius's face. She knew the man enough by now to understand that he was really distraught.

This Akkadian Crown Prince must be thinking about the people on board.

"That's your cousin's ship, right?" asked Emma, pointing at the small dot on the screen. She did not see any other ships in space. Did Heron board a battleship here? Was this the ship that would massacre The Coralia and its crew?

"That's right," said Therius. He was distraught and didn't want to talk, but because it was Emma who asked him, he answered the girl's question.

"Is that a battleship?" asked Emma again. She bit her lip at the thought of Natan and Haoran's fate at the clinic.

"No," said Therius. "The battleship will appear soon."

Sure enough, ten seconds later, a dot suddenly appeared on the screen from nowhere. It was ten times the size of The Coralia ship.

Everyone in the observation deck simultaneously held their breath. They also had seen what just happened.

Apparently, Heron's battleship was running in stealth mode to avoid being captured on radar. Now they had shown themselves and were ready to attack The Coralia. This is really bad.

They could immediately guess what Heron wanted to do by bringing a warship with him all the way here. He was desperate and wanted to kill Therius, no matter what it takes.

"Oh my God ..." Emma involuntarily gripped Therius' hand tightly with a grieving face. She couldn't bear to see what was coming.

The outer space above Daneria would soon become a field of massacre ....

Saul was an experienced captain. He did not stay still and accepting death even though there was a large battleship, fully equipped for battle in front of him ready to attack, while The Coralia only had regular shields and weapons for travel protection.

Unexpectedly, The Coralia suddenly made a dive and darted away from the two enemy ships. The people in Daneria were unable to pick up on any communication transmissions between the three ships and suspected that Saul was trying to flee his ship by doing some maneuvers to lure the enemy from the base at Daneria.

Saul knew that if they looked resigned and ready to die, Heron would grow suspicious that The Coralia was just a decoy. Because of that, Saul tried all out to escape and hoped Heron would be deceived.

Sure enough, Heron's ship and the battleship that followed him immediately chased The Coralia at high speed.

BOOM

BOOM

The Coralia managed to dodge the attacks by moving in zigzags and doing other complex maneuvers. However, some of the shots that were launched almost hit the target.

"Oh ..."

"Noo..."

So many people gasped, shrieked, and pressed their lips. Their chests were pounding.

Nobody could breathe while watching what was happening on the screen. The sky outside was bright and beautiful. The weather was like a perfect summer. No one would have guessed that a horrifying chase and massacre attempt was going on up in space above them.

Emma couldn't bear to see what was happening, but she forced herself to keep looking at the screen. She must engrave in her memory the events that occurred today. She must remember this for the rest of her life and avenge the people who died in The Coralia.

She clenched her jaw and her eyes were on fire. Therius was feeling exactly the same thing.

He tightened his grip on Emma's hand. Both of them were overcome by emotion and outrage at the same time. Tears slowly dripped down their cheeks, and their eyes were filled with rage.

People noticed how Therius and Emma looked so alike in this situation. They exuded the same aura and rage. The crew in the observation deck became fascinated and immediately thought that the two must have been an Avena couple.

Avena couples were the people who were fated to be together from before they were born, and that's how they had similar physical appearances. These lucky people could find their partner in life just by their appearances alone.

If Sir Therius was actually Crown Prince Licht... Was this woman his future bride? The future queen of Akkadia? They could only ask inwardly.

BOOM

The Coralia was still performing dangerous maneuvers to avoid the Akkadian battleship's attacks, and it looked like it's just a matter of time until one of the enemy's shots would hit its target.

"I can't stand this anymore ..." murmured Professor Amara. She staggered and sat on the chair, cupping her face with her two hands, holding back her tears. She didn't want to lower the people's morale in the observation deck, but she was heartbroken at the thought of the massacre up there.

As soon as she sat down, suddenly, one of the enemy's shots hit the backside of The Coralia.

"Ahhh!" Everyone' muffled shriek was heard in unison.

The Coralia immediately slowed down and was unable to do anymore maneuver to escape.

Now it had nowhere to go.

It's finished.

It finally ended now.

Heron's ship and his battleship darted toward The Coralia, then stopped. The battleship was ready to launch the last shot to finish off The Coralia.

This looked just like an execution.

Finally ... Emma couldn't look anymore. She closed her eyes and held back her tears. She remembered Haoran's face, which she had last seen at Natan's clinic.

She would never see Haoran again. She will never see that handsome face again ...

She would never see Haoran wake up and smiled at her...

Emma was really heartbroken.

"Hey!! Look who's coming!!!!"

Emma's topaz eyes split open when she heard that enthusiastic voice from beside her.

She saw Atila staring at the screen with a shocked but relieved face. Emma turned to Therius and found that he was wearing the same expression.

"That's The Dragonite Warship under General Moria's command..." Therius said quietly, pointing at the screen. "He's loyal to me."

Emma looked back at the screen and found that a spot, ten times the size of the battleship Heron had brought, suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"Only General Moria can command The Dragonite. It is the largest battleship in Akkadia," Atila explained. Her voice sounded very relieved. Tears rolled down her cheeks.

They did not know why the largest Akkadian battleship could suddenly appear in space above Daneria like this.

Only Therius could guess that Xion might have something to do with this event.

Was that why Xion was injured? Did he go back in time and sent a message for General Moria to send help?
