Flower on the ash

I scrolled down my phone's contact and stopped at Kelly's name. I dialed her phone number and it started to ring. Kelly picked up the call after a few moment.

" Hello." she said from the other side.

" Hello Kelly. How are you?" I asked her.

" I'm fine. They treat me good." she said making me puzzled.

" Yeah. Kelvin and his servants. I'm living in Kelvin's house." she said.

" What?" It made be shocked. I didn't even knew a thing about this.

" Yes. Didn't Alex tell you about it?" she asked on the phone.

" No." I was angry. How can they not tell me such a important thing about my friend.

" Leave me. What about you? How are you?" She asked.

" I'm doing great." I heard a car's honk and I looked down from my window. It was Alex's car.

" Hey Kelly. I'll call you back later. Alex and me have some things to do. I gotta go." I said, hurriedly walking out of the room.

" Ok. Bye. Take care." she said and hung up. I started taking big steps when I heard the doorbell ring. Before I could reach the hall father had already opened the door.

" Mr Wilson." my father greeted him and extended his hand for a handshake. I came and stood behind my father. Alex accepted the handshake.

" Are you ready Anna?" Alex asked when he noticed me and I nodded my head. Alex withdraw his hand from my father's hand.

" Are you going somewhere?" my father asked me.

" Yeah. We have some bussiness to do." I said and walked to stand beside Alex.

" Oh. Then take care." my father said and handed me the home spare keys.

" Let's go." Alex took my hand and started to walk. We both seated ourselves in his car.

" You didn't tell your parents about your pregnancy?" Alex asked me while starting the engine. I shook my head.

" I am waiting for a good time to tell them." I said. I don't know if such a good time will ever come or not. I put the keys from my hands to car's glovebox.

" I wanted to ask you something." I said when I remembered our talk last night about Penelope and Graham.

" What?" he asked while driving.

" Is there something between Penelope and Graham?" I asked him. He stayed silent for a moment.

" I don't think I should be the one to tell you about it. Just know that they were together in the past." Alex said. They were together in the past. That means they have dated each other and now they are each other's ex. Why did they break-up? Penelope and Graham both are nice and well made for each other. Do they still love each other?

" Don't think too much about it. Give rest to your mind." Alex said and I snapped back to reality. 'I'll ask Penelope myself.' I thought to myself.

" Atleast tell me how did they meet." I said to Alex.

" We all studied in the same high school." Alex said. 'They were young love birds.' I thought.

" Alex, wha~" I was going to ask him another question when he spoke in between.

" If you ask one more question I'll make sure Penelope do extra time in the office for one week." he said. How childish he is. I pouted at his words.

" Ok. I won't ask." I said and folded my hands on my chest. We didn't speak for rest of the ride. But I kept peeking at him time to time. He looks beautiful when he is driving with his sharp features.

" Come on. We have reached the hospital." he said and pulled over his car. We both went inside the hospital.

" We have an appointment with Dr.Sen." Alex said to the receptionist.

" Your name Sir?" she said sweetly.

" Alexander Wilson." he said.

" Yes. Take the elevator to second floor. The ward is just beside the elevator." she said and we walked to the elevator as per her instructions.

We reached to the room we were supposed to go. A lady doctor in her fifties came towards us and hugged Alex.

" Alex. Long time no see." she said and pulled back. " She must be your wife." she said looking towards me and hugged me too.

" Anna. Dr.Sen is my mom's friend. You can call her Aunt Sen." Alex told me and I smiled softly to the lady.

" Come let me give you a check up. Come Alex." she said and dragged both of us to a ward.

" Why do you need me?" Alex asked when he was being dragged by his aunt.

" Don't you want to see your wife's and child's condition?" she said and smacked his head lightly. I giggled at the scene. I tried to stop giggling when Alex glared at me and I stick out my tongue at him.

" Come Anna. Lay on the bed." she said and I do as I was told. I took of my shoes and stepped on the bed. She put a blanket on my lower part.
