Flower on the ash

" Eat now. " Mrs.Wilson said and forwarded us the bowl of soup in front of us.. Everyone picked up there spoon so did I to taste the soup which Mrs.Wilson has prepared. As the soup was hot, I blew on it to cool it down a little and took a sip from the spoon.

As the soup touched my tongue, I quickly stood up from my chair. Same thing which happened earlier was happening again. I covered my mouth and dashed towards the bathroom of guestroom, where I stayed earlier when I first came to Alex's villa. I hurriedly opened the door of the bathroom and vomited. It was wrost than before. I puked over and over until nothing was left inside me. Soon I felt a strong hand supporting me. Alex started rubbing my back to ease me while I vomited more and more. I wasn't even able to look at him. My eyes and cheeks were red and tears kept flowing from my eyes.

" Take her to your room." I heard Mrs.Wilson's voice and then my legs left the ground. Alex carried me to his room in his arms.

He placed me on his bed and made me lay down. I tried to say thank you to him but no words came out of my mouth. My lips were trembling and my eyes were burning.

" Alex you stay here with Anna. I'll be back in a minute." Mrs.Wilson said and her footsteps faded away. I also heard another footstep going away and opening of a door.

I guessed that I was alone in the room but not even after a minute I felt a wet cloth on my face. I slowly tried to open my eyes to see a blur version of Alex.

He was wiping my sweaty face with a towel.

" Feeling better?" he asked caressing my hair. I nodded my head weakly. He poured a glass of water for me from the jug kept on the side table and supported my back with the pillow. He made me drink the water slowly from the glass.

" Take some rest now. You will feel better." he said and laid me back on the bed.

" I'll tell mom to cook something else for you." he said caressing my head. I nodded and closed my eyes. I was feeling very bad because I didn't eat anything that Mrs. Wilson had made with so much love but I was feeling really tired and no energy was left in my body. I felt my body relaxing with Alex caressing my head, sitting beside me.

Soon after sometime Mrs.Wilson brought some porridge for me to eat. Alex took the bowl from his mom's hand and fed me.

" Anna. Sleep here tonight. I don't think it would be good for you to go now." Mrs.Wilson said taking the empty bowl of porridge which I just finished from Alex's hand.

" I'm being a burden for all of you." I said.

" Anna. Don't say that ever again. You are like my daughter and children are never burden of their parents." she said. "Tuck her in the bed Alex. I'll leave now. Goodnight." Mrs.Wilson said and left the room closing the door behind.

" You heard what mom said. Now sleep." he said and again made me lie on the bed. He covered me with a blanket.

" What about you?" I asked him as I had regained some energy atleast to speak.

" I'll also sleep but before that I have some work to do." he said and continued after gulping down a glass of water, "I'm in this room only. If you need something just call me." he said and I gave him a nod.

" Good night." he said to me sweetly.

" Good luck with your work." I said with a smile. He walked and sat onto a couch with a laptop. I watched him working in silence. I like to watch him when he is busy with his work. It makes him look even more handsome and I can stare at him as long as I want without him noticing me. I fell asleep watching him do his work with full concentration. I am waiting for tomorrow eagerly. I want to see what his response will be to my father when he will come to him to talk about the proposal.

In my dreams also I saw my father talking to Alex about the marriage but I couldn't hear what Alex was saying. I could see that both of them were smiling happily. I couldn't even figure it out what's his response. Has Alex agreed to the proposal that's why my father is smiling? Ah...It's such a headache.

The scenes of my dream changed. A woman was standing on a sea shore with her arms open. A little boy was walking towards her taking small steps but before he could reach into her mother's arm a man picked him up in the air and hugged the woman and the child . I didn't even knew I was smiling the whole night watching this dream. I pray to God that this dream may come true soon.
