Flower on the ash

I opened my eyes feeling something heavy on my waist. I was surprised to see Alex was sleeping beside me on the same bed. Alex's hand was tightly wrapped around my waist. I slowly removed his hand from my waist, trying not to wake him up. I stared at Alex's sleeping face. He looks so handsome even when asleep. His sharp noes and jaw line, long lashes like that of an angel, his pink lips. I wish if I could wake up every morning with him beside me. What's happening to me? Am I falling for him? My hand subconsciously touched his face. Alex opened his eyes and both of our eyes met. I quickly pulled my hand back and sat up on the bed.

" Good morning." Alex said to me in a sleepy voice that sounded so good in my ears.

" Good morning." I said. He also sat up beside me with his messy hair. He put is head on my shoulder and asked, " Are you feeling better now?"

" Yeah." I replied and he slowly raised his head from my shoulder and stood up from the bed.

" Mom?" I asked to get her attention.

" Oh Anna. I was here to give you this dress." Mrs.Wilson said handling me a bag.

" A dress? For what?" I asked confused.

" Don't you have to go to the company?" Mrs.Wilson asked with a raised eyebrow.

" Yeah. But I can go to my house to change my clothes." I said to her.

" Won't it will be wastage of time? Go and change your dress fast. Alex is making today's breakfast, specially for you." she said smiling and winked at me. I blushed red. Mrs.Wilson left the room for me to change the clothes which she gave but I was still standing on the same place smiling to myself. After a moment, when I realised what a fool I would be looking, smiling continuously like a statue, I walked towards the washroom. I washed myself up as quickly as I can and came out of the bathroom. I didn't know why I was this eager to see what Alex has prepared for breakfast. It wasn't like my first time to eat food prepared by him. When me and Kelly came first time to his house then also he prepared dinner for us. But this time it was something special.

I dried my hair and opened the bag which Mrs.Wilson brought for me. It was a beautiful, maroon colored formal dress. I put it on and tied my hair in a ponytail. I opened the door and stepped out of the room. I slowly walked down the staircase to the hall. As I neared towards the kitchen, the delicious aroma of food reached my nose.

I walked towards the kitchen to see Alex wearing an apron and preparing the breakfast.

" Do you need some help?" I asked Alex walking towards him. He noticed me and smiled.

" You all ready?" he asked beating the eggs in a bowl.

" Yep. Mom gave me this dress to wear." I said to him.

" You look very beautiful today." he complimented me.

" Thanks." I said smiling.

" Sit on the table. Breakfast is coming in few a minute." he said and I walked towards the dinning room. Mr. and Mrs.Wilson were already sitting there.

" Good morning dad." I said to Mr.Wilson and sat on one of the chair.

" Good morning." he said with a soft smile. Alex entered the dinning room and brought many items with him. He kept all the dishes on the table one by one. He opened the lid of each dishes and sat on the chair beside me. He had prepared fried eggs, sausages, bacons, bread and pancakes. My mouth watered just by seeing the dishes.

He served me each item on my plate.

" Eat." he said and I picked up my spoon. I gave it a bite.

" How's it?" he asked looking at me.

" Amazing!" I said smiling brightly.

" Today Alex has put some extra efforts on making breakfast as Anna is together with us." Mrs.Wilson said grinning.

" Of course. It was specially for Anna. She is worth of my hard work." he said and side hugged me. I blushed at his behavior.

" See Anna. How partial he is with you! It's good that you're my daughter now." Mrs.Wilson said to me.

I was really feeling like a daughter of this complete happy family. I am glad that I met Alex who provided me with the warmth of being loved. I never had such a nice family time ever before. We spent our breakfast time chatting, laughing and eating. After breakfast me and Alex said goodbye to Mr. and Mrs.Wilson and headed for the company.
