Flower on the ash

When finally the hour hand hit eleven, I quickly stood up and dashed towards Alex's cabin. Alex was already sitting there.

" Good morning sir." I greeted him.

" Good morning." he said.

" I'll bring you your coffee, sir." I said and walked away from his cabin. I quickly prepared a cup of coffee for him and brought it back to his cabin. He watched me as I made my way towards him with coffee in my hands. I put the cup in front of Alex and was going to retract my hand back when suddenly Alex grabbed my hand.

" What are you doing sir?" I asked with a smirk.

" I found this hand and it's owner very beautiful." he said smirking. He stood up from his seat and came closer to me. He leaned on his table a bit and pulled me towards himself. He held my waist and locked me between his legs.

" This isn't appropriate. What if someone comes in." I said looking at the cabin's entrance.

" No-one is going to come in my cabin at this hour and I don't have any appointment." he said smiling mischievously. I put my hands on his shoulder.

" Then, what are you going to do? It's working hours now." I said.

" Who cares. Anyway, I'm the boss." he replied.

" Aren't you going to drink your coffee? It's getting cold." I said looking at the cup of coffee I brought earlier. He lifted the cup from the table and gulped it down.

" Finished." he said and put back the empty cup on the table. I was shocked to see him. The coffee was indeed getting cold but not like it wasn't hot enough for someone to burn their mouth.

" Now I have enough time to spend with my wife without any more distractions." he said and brought his hand up. He held my chin and brought his face closer to mine. Our lips were inches away and was going to touch when suddenly there was a fake cough. I quickly pushed Alex away and freed myself from his hold.

I hurriedly took several steps backward and looked up to see who was standing at the door. It was Penelope and Kelvin.

" I-I'll go and bring coffee for you guys." I said and quickly ran away from the cabin.

Oh god ! It was so embarrassing just now. What Penelope and Kelvin will think about us? I wanted to dig a hole and burry myself inside it. I made coffee and brought it to them. I tried not to show embarrassment on my face.

They were talking about the matter related to Country Z. I was standing behind Alex and Penelope and Kelvin were sitting in front of him.

" The issue related to Country Z has been resolved. It will only take half an year to get back to its normal position." Penelope said handing Alex some papers.

" Hm. What about the compensation?" Alex asked Kelvin.

" It's done. " Kelvin said and Alex nodded his head.

" Anna." Alex said looking towards me. "Send hardcopy of these paper to all the director of board by tomorrow." he said and handed over me the paper which Penelope gave him. I accepted the papers from Alex's hand, nodding my head.

" Have you found the information related to the bomb-blast?" Alex asked Kelvin. Kelvin nodded his head and looked towards me.

" I'll send you the information later." Kelvin said and Alex nodded his head.

" Ok then. We will discuss this matter later." Alex said and Kelvin and Penelope stood up from their seat. They both left the cabin with a slight bow. I also went towards my cabin to do the work that Alex had assigned me.

I printed out 5 copies of each paper and sorted it in each file. I sent them to all the directors and finally the lunch time came. I picked up the lunchbox I prepared for Alex and dashed into his cabin.

He was doing his work on the computer with full concentration that he didn't even notice me coming. I walked behind him without making any sound. When I was finally behind him, I put the box in front of him. His gaze left the computer screen and he looked towards the box. Then he looked behind himself, and smiled when he found that it was me.

" You prepared the lunch for me?" he asked holding both of my hands into his. I nodded my head with a smile. He pulled me over and made me sit on his lap.

" Anytime sir." I said.

" I want you to feed me." he said and I was a little taken aback but smiled looking at his face. I opened the box for Alex and started to feed him by my hands.

" It's very delicious." he said, his mouth full of food looking like a child.

" I'm glad that you liked it." I said and fed him more.
