Flower on the ash

Chapter 65:65. Haven't taught me anything...

Alex dropped me where I asked him to do earlier. I said goodbye to Alex and walked up to my house. I reached my house entrance and was going to knock when I heard angry voice of my father coming from inside. I unlocked the door myself and saw my father shouting on Nanny and my step-mother standing beside the stairs.

" Anna ~" my Nanny started to speak when my father interrupted her in the middle.

" How dare you ask what's happening! You tell me first what are you doing outside the house?" my father asked me in rage.

" Nothing." I said. I couldn't understand what they were talking about.

" Don't you dare lie to me." Dad shouted at me.

" I'm not lying." I said.

" Why aren't you telling us the truth sister?" came hypocrite voice of my sister. She had a evil smirk on her face when she ascended down the stairs but changed her expression in a matter of second to a worried face when Dad looked at her.

" What truth?" I asked her.

" About you fooling around with a man." my father said in a loud voice.

" What are you talking about? I didn't fool around with anyone." I said trying to prove myself.

" Then what are these?" my father said and threw a bunch of photos on my face. I crouched down and picked up one of the photos that was on the floor. It was mine and Alex's photo holding each others hands outside the civil affairs bureau. My face was clear in the photo but Alex face wasn't clear. I picked up another photo. It was of the park where we went after getting our marriage certificate. In this photo also my face was clear but not of Alex's.

" See. Now the truth is in front of us she doesn't has anything to say." my father voice echoed.

" Master it's not like that. Anna is not guilty. The man~" Nanny was defending me when father cut her words in middle and shouted at her.

" You don't need to tell me whose guilty or not and don't interfere in our family matters. You have taken care of Anna so what? It doesn't give you the right to speak for her. I'm her father and you are just the caretaker of this house."

When my father said those words, it broke my heart. I looked at Nanny who was standing with her head hung low.

" I-I am sorry master." Nanny said, her voice trembling. I could feel my blood boiling inside. My father has never taken care of me. How can he talk to someone like that who was with me all the time when I felt all alone.

" Yeah, I'm fooling around with a man. So what? I'm not dependent on anyone and don't need your permission before doing something." I said in a loud voice. It was the first time I had raised my voice in front of my Dad.

" Is this how I have taught you to talk with your elders." my father said and I scoffed.

" That's the point. You haven't taught me anything. Do you even remember when is my birthday or what's my age? Have you ever seen me as your daughter?" I asked to my father. My emotions taking best of me.

" What an unfilial child I have. Get out of my house." my father said loudly.

" Master." Nanny said from where she was standing.

" What?" my father asked her.

" I want to resign my job." my Nanny said taking a deep breath.

" Do whatever you want to do. Anyway we don't have any space for you two now." my father said angrily. I stomped my foot and walked up to my room. I opened the wardrobe and took out a luggage bag and put my clothes in it. I opened the drawer and took out my mother's photo with everything else which reminded me of her. I zipped up my bad and carried it down the hallway.

I walked down the hall and headed out of the house without even looking back at any of them. I went out and saw Nanny standing few steps away. When she saw me, she walked over to me.

" Where are you going to stay Anna?" Nanny asked me, worried.

" Maybe Alex's house." I said. Nanny gave me a quizzical look then I remembered I haven't told about Alex to him.

" The man who gave me the ring." I said.

" Is he reliable?" Nanny asked me and I nodded my head.

" What about you? Where are you going?" I asked Nanny.

" I'm going to my hometown with Mish." Nanny said. Mish is her grandson. I felt sorry for. I quickly hugged her.

" I will miss you." I said.

" If you miss me you can come to hometown." Nanny said caressing my back. My mother's and Nanny's hometown is same. Whenever I went to meet my grandmother in hometown when I was little, I went with Nanny.

I called a cab for Nanny so that she can go to her hometown safely. When the cab arrived I helped Nanny to sit in there.

" Take care of you and Mish." I said to her.

" You also. And don't forget to take extra care of your baby." Nanny said and waved at me. I was shocked to hear her say that but then I smiled. I know, since young I couldn't hide anything from Nanny and it hasn't changed till now.

I waved Nanny goodbye and opened my bag in order to take out my phone but before I could do that a van stopped in front of me. A man got out from the van and before I could say something, someone put a cloth on my mouth and everything black out.
