Flower on the ash

( Anna's POV )

I felt cold water being splashed all over me. I opened my eyes and saw a man standing beside me with a bucket in his hand. I was shivering as the water was very cold. My clothes stuck on my wet body. I tried to get up to found that I was on a dirty ground with my hands and legs tightly tied together with rope.

" Surprised to see me here?" my sister asked in a pathetic tone.

" Huh. Only a person like you can play dirty tricks like this." I said with a disgust on my face. She walked up and sat on a wooden chair in front of me. Two men were standing behind her and one beside me. There were 7-8 more people surrounding the whole room where we were. The room was dark and dirty. I could see the moon through the broken wall from where the cold winds were blowing.

" What if someone sees you doing this? Aren't you afraid?" I asked my sister.

She first laughed loudly like a maniac and then said , " No one is going to find you. It's midnight right now. Everyone will be sleeping by now and when they will realise you being missing, it will already be too late."

She was right. I could only pray to God that I keep myself alive until someone comes to find me. Nanny thinks that I'm with Alex and Alex think I'm with my family. He will only know that I'm missing when he will come to the office in the morning. But till morning I don't even want to imagine they will do to me. Even the thought of it was making me shudder, not to mention the blowing cold winds and I was drenched with cold water.

" But why do you want to harm me?" I questioned her.

" Why? You never gave me a reason for not hating you. You are such a bitch." she said and walked towards me. Her boots echoing in the silent room. She grabbed handful of my hair and pulled it. I winced in pain.

" Never let me live in peace since child. We were in the same school. I was daughter of a rich family but all the attention went to you. I tried to drug you and spoil your reputation but you were so lucky that got another man instead of the one I wanted to set you up with. You know how much money I lost because of you." she pulled my hair applying greater force and I winced hard. " You got your job in the company in which every person dreams to work. And lastly married to your own boss. Don't you think you have more than a great luck." she said and threw me on the floor. I was really worried about my baby. Oh god please don't let anything happen to it. She again held my hair but this time I spit on her face. Her face reddened in anger and a tight slap landed on my face. My cheeks were burning and I felt liquid flowing down my lips. Some of the liquid entered my mouth. It had a metallic taste and I guessed it was blood that was flowing down from my lips.

" You really like to be a slut, don't you? Let me fulfill your wish today." she said putting her foot on my head and I screamed because of the pain. She finally lifted her foot and drops of tear fell down my cheeks.

She went and sat down back on the chair, crossing her legs. "You three can enjoy her as much as you want. She is all yours." my sister said to the two men standing behind her and one who was beside me with the bucket in his hand.

My eyes widened in fear and more tears fell down my eyes.

" How can you do this? Atleast show some humanity." I shouted at my sister and she just evilly laughed. I tried to move away from them but wasn't able to because of my tied hands and legs. The man standing beside me quickly grabbed me by my legs and the other two holded my hands. I screamed. I was so terrified right now. Tears were continuously flowing down my cheeks. One of the man extended his hand and tore open my shirt and I screamed. The other man's hand was going to reach my bra when the door banged open, revealing Alex. I heard a gunshot and the man who was going to touch me fell down screaming.

The other men who were hovering over me left me and started to fight with the two men who came with Alex. Alex saw me and quickly came over to me. He untied my hands and legs and made me wear his jacket. After seeing Alex, I started to cry even more. I wasn't even able to stop the sobs coming out of my mouth.

" You two handle them. I am taking Anna with me." Alex said to the men and lifted me up in his arms.
