Flower on the ash

( Alex's POV )

I parked my car in the garage of my house. I thought that today I would take Anna somewhere to spend our time together, but since she said that she was tired, I didn't push her to do so as her health is my priority. I walked up to the door and rang the doorbell. Soon it was opened and my eyes went wide at the sight of who had opened the door. Anna was standing there welcoming me, all dressed up. She was looking like a Goddess in a red short dress, perfectly showing her figure and light make-up on her face. Her hair open, reaching till her waist. I was mesmerized her beauty when she grabbed my hand and pulled me inside the house.

As I entered the house, I was completely surprised. The room was covered by the golden light coming from the candles. The house was decorated with lots of red roses. I turned back to look at her. She was smiling widely looking at me.

" Happy Birthday!!!" She said and hugged me tightly. I was a little taken aback. I wasn't expecting these things. In the morning when I went to work, everything was normal and now.

" Thanks." I said to her. She pulled off from the hug to look at me.

" Come with me." she said and took my hands in hers and started to walk towards the dining room with me. As we headed in there, I saw it was also decorated in the same way as the drawing-room. I Zeus was also, wearing a suit. It must be Anna's plan. She led me towards the dining table. A big cake was kept there with a happy birthday tag.

" Cut the cake." Anna said once I was standing in front of it. I grabbed Anna by her wrist and pulled her towards me such that I was back hugging her. I inhaled her scent. She smelled like the fresh flowers of Jasmine. My lips pulled up into a smile.

" Thank you for doing all of this for me." I said to her.

" You're welcome, darling." Anna said.

"From where did you get to know that today's my birthday?" I asked her.

" Aunt Zhao told me. Now cut the cake first." she said still in my embrace. I took Anna's hand in mine and we both grabbed the knife.

" I want to spend all of my life beside you." I said and kissed her cheek from the side. We both cut the cake and Anna served it on a plate. She gave Zeus a piece of cake and came to stand in front of me.

" Taste it and tell me how is it?" she said to me. I nodded my head and took a spoonful of cake in my mouth. It was indeed very tasty.

" How's it?" Anna probed.

" Sweet and tasty, just like you." I said to her and she cutely blushed. I forwarded her spoon to take a bite for her to see her baking skills. Her eyes sparkled when she tasted it. I fed her the cake.

Soon Anna served the dinner she made. I am in love with her cooking. I made her sit on my lap and we both ate our dinner together.

Once we were done eating, Anna disappeared into the kitchen saying to wait for a moment.

I was waiting there for her to come patiently. Finally, she walked towards me her hands on her back. She came and stood in front of me.

" I often thought that is it true that someone can fell in love without even realizing it? And if the answer is yes, then I also wanted to experience it. I also wanted to get complete love from my family. And now, I have realized that it is possible and I have also found the love of my life. I'm deeply in love with you, Alexander Wilson and I want to experience all ups and downs of my life with you. The circumstances in which we met were by mistake, but now I realized that it was our fate which wanted us to be together. " she took a deep breath and continued, "I love you. Stay by my side forever. " she said and brought her hands in front of her holding a box and opened it revealing a ring. She lifted my hand and slid the ring in my finger. She looked at me with her big brown eyes. I wasn't expecting her to confess. I was completely shocked and feeling so happy. Finally, my Anna is in love with me.

I grabbed her waist and pulled her towards me. She rested her hands on my shoulder.
