Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 100 - My Father Has Arrived

Celestia's POV:

Theo instructed me to stay in my room until my father left the palace. And I had no say in it. My father threatened to curse me if I appeared in front of him again.

I was fine until I heard the stormy noise of a portal opening out in the gardens. I immediately went to the window and peeked outside.

My father has arrived! And he had come alone here. Why did none of the High Faes accompany him here? Even though I was on a higher ground level, I was able to comprehend that my father is furious and in anguish.

The Mage guards greeted him, and they took him in through the side entrance of the palace. I am seeing him after a long time! The old nostalgic feelings began to rush into me.

I wanted to go out there and talk to him. But he will curse me if I do that. This is absurd! I want to see him. I immediately went out of my room and walked down the stairs.

They all must be in the courtroom now. Perhaps I can stand outside the hallway and peek in the room from there. In that way, my father won't see me, and I will view the discussion that happens in the courtroom.

Theo won't be very happy when he comes to know about my plan. But this is my father, and I have the right to at least see him.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The doors of the courtroom were closed. And I expected this. The rule is not to let the happenings of the court get outside. But the large windows were wide open, and I was clearly able to see everything that happened inside.
The window gave me the center viewpoint into the room. Theo was not seated on his throne. He was standing down on the stage, and he was facing my father.
Both of their eyes gave out the pure hatred that they had for each other. It always troubles me that the two people whom I love the most are mortal enemies.
I don't understand what the issue is with the fates. Why are they always against me?
"Silver Shadow," my father said coldly. "Don't think that I am yielding to you. I do want to take you down, but unfortunately, the time is not right."
Theo smirked at my father. "So you are accepting your defeat in a different way."
After that, there was a loud noise of thunder rumbling in the sky. Oh my god! My father has the power to manipulate the weather, and his extreme anger is making him lose control.
Theo should not provoke my father like this! But he seemed to be not a bit affected by my father's aggressiveness. He is the only one in all three realms who is brave enough to face off my father.
"Watch your tongue, you filthy incubus," Oberon sneered. "I am obligated not to battle with you because I have a far worse challenger than you from the Shadow Realm. The Demon Princess Lilin has become far more powerful than she was before. And just yesterday, she attacked the Highlanders with her Shadow troops."
"That must have been so bad," Theo chuckled. "And now I understand why you have come running to my palace. You single-handedly can't handle a young girl and her troops. You need your Fathomless warriors to save yourself."
Father Oberon was trying hard to control his anger. Theo really needs to stop now. No one has insulted my father face to face like this before and gotten away with it.
I understand that Theo is far more potent than my father, but my father has far more experience than him in defeating his opponents.
"Don't take my silence for granted," my father responded after reeled off from his insults. "The Demon Princess's powers have doubled all of a sudden, and she is scheming something tremendous against all of us. And don't think that she will spare the Lowlanders and you just because she was your former lady love."
All the Mages were frozen after that. I was trying hard to comprehend how Lilin could have suddenly become so powerful. In the past, Daviana and Ember were more than enough to battle and defeat Lilin.
Now Father Oberon says that he struggled to subdue her? Something is not adding up here!
Oberon eyed everyone in the room and said, "Now, it is not the time to fight among ourselves. We have a greater enemy to tackle!"
"I don't want to battle with you at all either," Theo crossed him. "I am even willing to give back the crown that I took from you. But in order to release your Fathomless warriors, you would have to fulfill some of the demands of my Mages."
He glanced at the Mage Lords and hoped that any one of them would make a demand. But they were all tight-lipped.
I understand the reason for their silence. They all are still in shock! Obviously, everyone got intimidated after they heard the news about Princess Lilin.
Father Oberon waited for a response from the Mages. When he didn't get one, he glared at Theo and said, "It looks like your subjects have nothing to demand from me. Then release my warriors already!"
"Fine," Theo agreed and signaled the palace guards who were standing behind him. I breathed out in relief after that. The discussion went off peacefully without any trouble.
'Celestia, you can leave now. Everything is over,' Theo whispered in my head all of a sudden and shook me to my bones.
Of course, Theo was aware that I was here the whole time. This is not a surprise.
And I should obey his words and go back to my room now. But I didn't! My heels automatically took me inside the courtroom.
'Celestia,' Theo shouted in my head. 'Get out of here now. Your father is going to curse you.'
No Theo! You got it all wrong. My father will never curse me. Deep down, he still loves me, but he is refusing to accept that. Why shouldn't I talk to the man who raised me and taught me about everything?
'For the sake of Aiden, run away from here, Celestia. Please, I am pleading with you.'
I ignored everything that Theo said to me in my mind.. My legs did not stop until I got close to my father.
