Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 111 - Why Are You Refusing The Help?

Celestia's POV:

Theo never woke up until it was evening. He was sleeping peacefully on my lap, and I made sure that his slumber did not get disturbed.

He opened his eyelids slowly and looked at me. "My love, I had a nightmare," he mumbled.

"Oh, dear... That doesn't sound good," I said and caressed his dense brown hair with my fingers. "What did you even dream about?"

He clasped my hand and gave me a quick kiss on my fingers. " I dreamt that you were instructing Amelia to send a scroll to Oberon. It is good that it was just a dream! You didn't do it for real, did you?"

"But it happened for real. I did make Amelia send a scroll to my father. And why consider this a nightmare?"

His manner changed after that. He immediately got up from my lap and frowned at me. " Celestia," he gritted his teeth and pronounced my name. " Why in Aiden's name would you do such a thing? I told you this morning that I would never want to unite with Oberon!"

"But why are you refusing help? You know it is impossible to defeat the Nephilim if the whole Celestial realm is not united," I cried out.

"Did I tell you that I need help?"

"But -"

"I never expected this from you! I never thought of you as someone who would scheme behind my back."

"But that was not scheming. It was for the welfare of everyone."

Theo grunted and got up from the ground. He turned around and began to walk away from me.

"Theo, wait." I got back on my feet and caught up with him. "Hear me out. What I did was for the best!"

He ignored me entirely and continued to walk away from me. I tried hard to keep up with his pace as he was stepping faster.

"Theo, why are you punishing me like this? I did nothing wrong! I know that you don't trust my father, but you have to know that he is not the kind of man who would betray someone."

He stopped in his tracks immediately and turned to me. "You still know nothing about Oberon, and it would be for the best if you don't try to defend him to me. And should stop thinking that Oberon loves you because he doesn't care about you at all. Stop chasing after the illusions and choose reality!"

After hearing what he said, I didn't mind following him at all. How dare he say that my father doesn't love me?

I didn't go back to the castle after that. I kept on wandering in the garden and thought about everything that Theo said.

I don't think that I can follow Daviana's advice anymore. She told me to mend the dispute between Father Oberon and Theo. But it is an impossible task!

Even if my father is willing to wave the white flag, Theo will not accept the peace. Sometimes I don't get Theo! Why is he so aggressive? He can give up his pride at least for once.

He always considers himself above everyone else, so he thinks that he can face Lilin alone. Whatever! I tried my best. If he is stubborn, then it is not in my hands to change him.

Perhaps Ivory can do it! She already once succeeded in manipulating Theo in the past. But I have a feeling that she won't help me. She will definitely take Theo's side just to mess with me!

"Your Grace," I heard someone say. It was Lord Arcadia. And he was addressing me like I was a Queen. I am a Queen! But I keep on forgetting that.

"I am here to make a humble request to you."

"What is it?" I asked him hesitantly.

"King Oberon is going to arrive here soon, and his highness is refusing to meet up with him. Would you please talk to him and change his mind?"

I wanted to scream out to him that I am not able to convince him either. But I didn't want to speak ill of Theo to him.

"I am the Queen of the Lowlands, and I think that I can discuss with King Oberon by myself," I declared openly.

"But...." he stammered and flipped his long reddish-brown hair. " King Oberon would be expecting to have a word with his highness too."

"No, he won't! I am his daughter, and I am more than enough to handle this situation. So can you make the courtroom ready before my father arrives here?"

"Okay! I am sorry for bothering you, your highness."

He bowed down to me, and after that, he left the garden. I felt so determined after that. I should do this by myself!

He can be the King of the Lowlands, but I am the Queen too!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I didn't know where Theo went after that, and I never cared about him either. I was focusing on organizing the courtroom, and I instructed the maids to decorate the hallway.
I put on a lovely gold-colored gown and stepped into the courtroom. Daviana helped in picking out the perfect dress, and she even braided my golden locks together.
The Mages did a great job in arranging the throne room. The floor was covered entirely with carpets, and ruby flower petals were sprinkled on it.
It is considered an honor when a King is greeted by sprinkling floral petals on the pathway he walks. So I made sure that my father is greeted with honor.
There was no throne built for me here. Lord Arcadia gave up his white marble throne and urged me to take his seat.
I refused his offer and stood below the stage. I don't want to be seated on the throne when I am facing my father. I want to stand on equal ground as my father and have a discussion with him.
There were not many people in the courtroom, and I instructed the Mages that their presence in the room was not necessary. I want this discussion to be a private one.
The large mahogany doors of the courtroom opened, and I assumed that it was my father who had arrived. But it was Theo! Why is he here now?
He told everyone that he doesn't want to see my father. Then why did he change his mind now? Or maybe he is here to taunt me!
"So you are seriously going to do this against my will?" Theo questioned me.
" Yes," I replied firmly.
Theo glared at me viciously. Slowly, his eyes turned murky red. So his eyes do turn like this for real. I didn't imagine it!
