Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 112 - Igniting The Fire Even More

Celestia's POV:

What happened to him? Why did his eyes turn red suddenly? Theo glared at me viciously and balled his fists together. "I really don't want to fight you, my love. Would you please not provoke me like this?"

After that, his eyes became green slowly. I was speechless for a while! I realized that his eyes change color only when he is furious. But I have seen him angry many times before, and his eyes never did that back then.

I was about to question him about that, but I remained silent as Father Oberon got in the courtroom. I was so delighted to see him that my skepticism vanished completely.

I moved away from Theo and paced closer to my father. When he was just two feet away from me, I bowed down to him.

Father Oberon beamed at me. "My child, it is good to see you again," he said pleasantly.

My joy knew no bounds after that. He said something nice to me! For a moment, I got giddy as the happiness swept me off my feet.

Father Oberon turned his gaze to Theo, who was standing right behind me. "Silver Shadow," he called out. "It is good to know that you have finally decided to let go of your vengeance! You made a smart move by agreeing to unite with me."

My happiness vanished after that. I wasn't ready to face what was going to happen next. Come on, Theo! Please hold up your anger, at least for a while!

"I…don't… need… your… help," Theo roared out loud. "And I will never be able to let go of my vengeance even if my life depends on it!"

There it goes! I was able to predict what was going to happen next. My father and Theo are going to quarrel with each other. Why does this keep on happening? It really hurts me so much to see the two people I love the most always fighting.

Father Oberon's gaze shifted to me and said, "Celestia, was it you who sent me the scroll?"

I sighed out and nodded deliberately. His facial expression that was calm a while ago, got severe after that. It seems like he is mad at me too.

"Celestia! If Silver Shadow is not willing to join with me, then why would you send out a scroll to me? Or did you do that just to insult me in the Southern Lord's courtroom?"

"No," I cried. "I am the Queen and I have the right to make decisions too. So I sent you the message as the Queen of Lowlands. I never meant to insult you!"

His face turned scarlet as he continued to frown at me. Just a while ago, my father spoke nicely to me, but now he is furious at me again. All I needed was to hear his kind words, but it looks like I won't get them no matter how hard I try.

"You should know something, Celestia. You are not a Queen!" He then pointed his finger at Theo and said, "You are a slave of his, and you don't have the free will to make the decisions of your own."

I was actually able to feel the last bit of my heart breaking into shreds! I sent out that scroll, hoping that it would end the conflict. But I ended up igniting the fire even more.

Theo moved to my side and held my hand to comfort me. "You should be ashamed of yourself, Oberon! You call yourself a moral King, but you are not able to understand your daughter's heart. Do you know how much it means to her when you say one pleasant word to her?"

"Stop blaming me," my father shouted back at him. "You are the reason why I am constantly yelling at my loving daughter! Before you snatched her away from me, never once did I have to chastise her. You took away her innocence and made her your slave! "

"That is enough!" I shouted out louder than I ever did in my entire life. "Father, please don't speak one more word against Theo. I can't take it when you keep on accusing him. And this is not even the time to fight!"

I let go of Theo's hand and took a step back from both of them. They two stared at me in surprise as if they saw something unusual.

"You both are very much aware of the danger that we are about to face in the upcoming days. And now you two are arguing with each other?"

They both silently listened to me. Theo was looking down at the flower sprinkled carpet, and my father's gaze was on me.

"I am sorry, my child. I didn't mean to hurt you in any way, and you know that I am mad at him. And I think it is time for me to leave now," he said.

"What? But you can't just leave," I protested.

But he was already walking to the exit. I am not going to let him go now! I tried to follow him, but Theo gripped my hand and stopped me.

"Celestia, don't even think about following him," he said sternly.

"No, he has to give me an answer today. He can't be forever furious at me."

"Yes, he can, and he will keep blaming you forever. All you can do is just let him go, my sweetness. He is never going to acknowledge you at all!"

I refuse to accept that! I freed my hand from his grip and ran out of the room. I hope that he has not left yet. His portal must be outside near the bell tower, so he must not have gotten there yet.

This was not a good day to wear a long gown. I had to lift my gown up from the floor so that I won't trip and fall down.

I didn't stop running until I was near the bell tower. From a distance, I was able to spot my father. He was moving close to his portal.

"Father! Please stop," I screamed out. And he did! He looked over his shoulder and glanced at me. He was not furious anymore. But he was surprised that I had followed him all the way here.

"Father, please listen to me. Don't leave now! The Highlanders and the Lowlanders must join together. Or else we don't stand a chance against the Nephilim."
