Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow
Chapter 225 - Walk On The Traps
Celestia's POV:
Darius was still not able to speculate if the Fae Lord was lying or not. I don't understand why he is hesitating now. Isn't it obvious that Samuel is acting?
"Darius," I shouted again and went to him. Before I spoke to him, I gave a deadly glare to Samuel, who was tied up in the wooden chair beside me.
"You can't go easy on this man. He is definitely lying—"
"But how can you prove that, Celestia?" Darius questioned me.
It was hard for me to believe if it was actually Darius talking. "Are you siding with a traitor?" I shouted out.
"He is innocent until he is proven guilty. That is the law of the Celestial realm now—"
I struggled to understand how different the law was before. I shifted uncomfortably on my feet and turned to Edwin, who was watching our argument from the corner of the room.
I expected him to back me up, but he was silent. None of my friends were backing me up!
"Fine," I sighed and took an arrow from my quiver. "If none of you are going to aid me, then I am going to do it by myself—"
I traced the tip of my arrow to Samuel's neck. If I stab him slightly, then he will perish! But his hazel eyes were devoid of fear when I did that. Why is he not scared of me?
"If you don't tell me the truth, then you are going to lose your life. Do you understand?"
Still, he was not showing any fear. Instead, he just smiled and said, "Dawn, I know that you will not hurt me—"
I was so insulted by his comments. "Do you underestimate me?" I shouted out. "If I want to slay you, then I will do that in a second. I am just giving you a chance here, to tell the truth—so that you can save yourself—"
He kept on grinning at me. "Are you aware that I am capable of seeing the future? So I know that you are not going to kill me now."
I grunted and took away the arrow from his neck. If he is reluctant to tell the truth, then how can I know about the trickster's plan?! It took me a while to find out the one flaw in his lies. If I make him talk more, then he might spill out the truth.
"Lord Samuel, you say that you are capable of seeing the future. But if you really have that power, then why weren't you able to save your Mage lover from the clutches of Silver Shadow?"
He was tongue-tied by my question. Edwin, who was stiff for this long, started clapping his hands together—and applauded me. I expected the Fae Lord to surrender now; still, he was just grinning.
"Dawn…. We Perspicacious Faes can't interfere with the cycle of nature. If we try to change the fates according to our will, then it will have negative consequences—"
"So are you saying that you willingly let the Silver Shadow abduct your Mage lover? You didn't do anything to save her when you had the chance—and now you are asking for my help?"
"Yea," he replied boldly. "Only in this way will I not mess the cycle of nature—"
He was giving me a calculated reply. Now how am I going to unmask him?!
"Please help me," he pleaded with me. "My lover is in danger….."
I was defeated after that. He is never going to tell me the truth. And I can't torment him to bring out the truth either. I remember Father Oberon saying that the Fae kind should never hurt one and another.
Since he is not proven guilty, he is just a victim now—and it is morally wrong to abuse a victim.
Edwin finally broke his deadly silence and decided to speak out. "I suggest that we all go to the Mage lands and capture that trickster once and for all—"
"But that could be a trap," I argued.
"Celestia," Edwin said and moved near me. "Everything is a trap! The strategy of that trickster is to create traps and make his rival fall into them. If we need to capture him, then we have no other choice except to walk on the traps."
I sighed to myself as I realized that he was telling the truth. This is definitely a trap! It is not going to be an easy task—but there is no other way than this to capture the trickster.

Sometimes we all know that we are about to make a huge mistake. Still, we are obligated to do it because of the circumstances. Right now, the circumstances are forcing me to walk into a trap, and I am stepping into it willingly.
Once all the younglings got through the portal, it was my turn to step inside the Golden doors. I hesitantly walked into the doorway that led to the Northern Magelands.
Darius dragged the Fae Lord through the doorway, whose hands were still cuffed. He instructed him to lead the way. Now we were in the stream bank of the Northern valley.
So many horrible memories flooded my mind as I walked on the stream banks. This is precisely where the battle with the Vampires had taken place.
But this place is also special to me as this is where I unleashed my Angelic powers for the first time ever. I felt like a whole new person when the gush of energy traveled throughout my veins and gave me strength.
Will I ever be able to feel like that again? For some reason, I am not even able to feel my Fae powers. I don't know when this misery will end.
Now that I think about it, my misery just keeps on increasing as every day passes by.. I shut my eyes tight while I was still walking and prayed to the Holy Aiden that somehow I should overcome the most difficult quest that was awaiting for me.
