Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 291 - Trust This Man

Celestia's POV:

My thoughts felt strange even to me. I am now planning to kill the man who raised me. Then I also recalled that he didn't raise me. He snatched me away from my parents by killing them.

Just when I was planning on various strategies to kill Oberon, Theo appeared on the spot. He understood everything that was going on when his gaze fell on the shiny mirror in Cynthia's hand. Then he immediately turned to me. He held my hand after giving Cynthia a nasty glare. He wasn't happy that I got to know the truth. And the very next second, we both disappeared from the spot and reappeared back in our room.

"Theo," I squealed and gave him a warm hug. "I am sorry for all the misunderstanding. You were always my guardian angel, but I thought you to be my Villain—"

There was no response from his side. He was standing still like a mannequin doll that is in mortal clothing stores without giving a reaction. I immediately pulled away from him and looked up at his stunned yet gorgeous face.

"Theo, are you alright?" I asked him.

Finally, he shook his head side to side and gave me a response. "I am just….. I am just surprised that you still see me the same—"

I was confused. What is he exactly worried about? "Theo," I stood on my tiptoes to pat his brown hair slightly. "Why do you think that I will see you any differently? I do see you in a different way! My love and respect for you has increased more than before—"

"But… but you are not worried that Oberon is my father?"

I blinked at him for a few seconds and tried hard to understand his actual words. Then it hit me! Oberon is the father who raised me. And he is also the father of Theo. It means that…

"Oh my god," I shouted and moved away from him. "So you are my brother?!"

"No….," Theo shouted as if someone stabbed his throat. "I would die instead of being your brother… And I am not your brother, okay?"

He moved forward and cupped my face with his hands. "Celestia, that man isn't your father cause he never saw you as his daughter. He treated you like a weapon, like an object which is meant to be used in desperate times. All of his words were lies, so how can you even consider an imposter like him as your father?"

I nodded slowly. His words made sense. Oberon is an imposter! Relationships can't be formed based on lies and manipulation. Even if we were associated with such imposters, then it is not exactly a relationship. It is a lie!

"Exactly! So never ever see me that way! I am your only reality, my love—"

I smiled at him while staring at his emerald eyes. "So you didn't tell me this truth before as you were scared that I would see you differently?"

"Well, that was one of the reasons," he sighed. "But the main reason was the promise that I made on my mother's grave. If it weren't for that, I would have told the truth to every Fae when I was just six years old."

I smiled again when I pictured the young version of Theo. "You were cute when you were a kid," I chucked slightly.

Theo crossed his hands over his chest and pouted. "Are you saying that I am not cute now?"

"No," I panicked. "You are always cute and …."

"And what?"

"And," I bit my lip out of shyness. "And hot maybe?!"

He let out a chuckle and tilted his head lower to kiss me. Even before his lips could touch me, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him hurriedly. He was surprised by my response. Yet, he kissed me back even hastier than me. Our lips parted only after I started to go breathless. Then I rested my head on his chest while he was stroking my hair gently. Even though the kiss gave us temporary bliss, it wasn't enough to make us forget about the danger that we are supposed to face in the future.

"How can we stop him, Theo?" I breathed out against his chest. "People in our realm consider him as God! And they see you as the bad guy—"

"They will have to know the truth eventually," he said and put his one protective arm around my waist. "And you don't have to worry about defeating that old man. I am an Anti-Angel now, and I can toss off that man in no second—"

"I know that you can defeat him—but if you do that, people will see you as a murderer. Even though Oberon will die, he will become the hero. You will be termed as the Tyrant King—"

Then I looked up at him and held his cheek. "I don't want that happening to you, Theo! I can't take it anymore if people speak ill of you. You have already suffered a lot for thousands of years. So far, people call you a trickster, a temper, a devil, and it breaks my heart when I think about that."

Theo's gaze was on the floor below us when I said. I can't read his mind, but I bet that he is going through an emotional roller coaster in his heart. And this man endured all this pain and rejection for these many years! I always thought that being me was the hardest. But after hearing his story, I realized that my hardships are nothing when compared with him.

What kills me the most is that I played a major role in providing him misery while he was trying to be my guardian angel. Theo might be able to forgive me—but I can never forgive myself! I am a sinner!

"Celestia...," he gritted his teeth and held my shoulders. "How many times should I have to tell you that this is not your fault? This is all Oberon's fault! And we will come up with a way to unmask him before his people before we destroy him. Okay?"

"Okay," I nodded.

Seeing the strong determination in his dreamy eyes, I understood that anything was possible for this man.. He had done the impossible so many times before. All I would have to do is trust this man!
