Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow
Chapter 300 - We Got This!
Theo's POV:
I ran to the seashore as soon as I got the news. A man had gotten into the island and the Siren girls were hurling stones at him. I was about to tell the girls to stop hurting him until I saw his face. It was Edwin—and I wanted him to get harmed. How dare he love my girl?! And he still desires her?! And he had the courage to come here to woe Celestia?! Over my dead body will he get that chance!
What frustrated me the most was that he sent a love letter to my girl yesterday through Ember's firebird. Fortunately, I got the letter before anyone else could! So I burnt up the letter even before Celestia could see it. And I didn't read the letter either! I was already mad and my temper would have increased if I had read that.
Yet, I wanted to break those fingers that wrote the love letter. If he doesn't have fingers then how can he write a letter?! I will do it later for him! For now, I should start with small things!
I borrowed a large rock stone from the Siren girl's hand who was standing beside me and I aimed to hit the stone at his head. But exactly at that moment, Celestia caught my hand and frowned at me. "Theo, don't…."
Her nasty glare was enough for me to drop the stone down on the ground. I will get so many chances to hurt that bastard—but I can't lose her over my vengeance. So I should let her have her way at least for now.
"Everybody stop it," Celestia yelled and the others dropped the stone on the stand, just like I did! Oh my! When did my girl become the Queen?! "He is my friend and I don't want anyone to hurt him—"
I got hurt by the way she called him her friend. But I know that Celestia doesn't like him. Yet, her kind attitude is giving this bastard hope. And he ends up clinging on to her hopelessly thinking that he still got a chance.
My enviousness reached its peak when Celestia started speaking to him as if he were her beloved friend. I dug my nails in my palm to not show off my frustration openly. I didn't even stop it even while I felt my blood dripping down from my palms. When Celestia turned to me, I immediately put my hand in my pocket and healed my blood-stained palm. She would think that I am crazy if she ever sensed how envious I get because of her!
"Theo, he has something to say to you," Celestia said and walked over to me. "He is refusing to even say that to me—"
Does he want to talk to me?! About what?! If that bastard even says Celestia's name to me, I swear that I will kill him right at that spot!
.......
I couldn't believe that I am now having tea in Cynthia's chamber along with the man whom I want to burn alive. Even now I want to cast my flames at him and burn him. But Celestia is seated next to me now. For her sake, I have to be quiet.
Edwin was quietly drinking the tea as if it was the first time ever he was tasting something like that. Once he was done, he refilled his cup again and he silently drank his tea. I was already furious at him and his actions infuriated me to no extent.
"Edwin," I roared. "Are you going to speak now or not?"
He flinched at my tone that made the tea cup in his hand spill over his cloak. "Ahhhh! That was hot," Edwin screamed.
I smirked at his minute suffering. "If you don't speak up now, then I am going to pour this entire jar of tea over your head—"
"Theo," Celestia snapped. "Why are you threatening him now?"
I completely lost it after that. Because of this bastard, I am gaining hate from my love.
"Celestia, stop being kind to this man. He wrote a love letter to you."
She didn't believe what I said. "You are just a big baby," he grunted and turned to Edwin. "I am sorry Edwin. Don't mind him!"
"Edwin," I raged at him. "If you don't confess to her that you wrote a love letter to her, then I will…."
Edwin shuddered like a scared little goat and said, "But… but….. it wasn't a love letter! Did you even read the letter?"
I fell silent after that. So it wasn't a love letter?!
"So you are yelling at me without reading the letter? Not cool man," he sighed.
"Well, Edwin! I am not interested in reading romantic lines that were written to my girl by another man—"
"That was not a romantic letter! It was a message," Edwin raised his voice. "It was a message about the Fae King Oberon. I risked my life in sending that message to you—"
"Okay, Edwin! Just tell me what that damn message is—"
Edwin leaned back on his chair and said, "Oberon is not what we think. He is evil and he is going to kill you soon. Once you are dead, he is going to hurt Celestia—"
I was surprised that he knew about it. But how? I immediately went into his mind and started scanning his thoughts. I was even more surprised after that. So the dark prophecy has come true! And my so-called father has gotten the powers of the Dark Lord himself! And he has threatened to destroy me?!
I could only laugh after that. How can he even think that he could destroy me? He is just overestimating his powers and underestimating mine.
Edwin took a while to explain that to me and Celestia. Even though I had already scanned his thoughts and got to know about it, I listened patiently to his version of the same story. I was calm once he completed his explanation while Celestia was scared to her bones.
I held her hand and comforted her, "Celestia! don't be scared. We got this!"
