Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 312 - You Will Die Soon

It took a while for Cynthia to process everything that just happened. Then she fluttered her eyelashes slowly and looked around the surroundings. She was no more under the bright morning sun of the island. She was now in a chamber that looked so luxurious.

She got sick when she realized that Oberon was still holding her waist. She didn't care if this man was the Shadow Lord or not. She was determined to destroy him with her own hands. Her hands tried to take out the dagger that was in her sheath. But Oberon caught both of her hands and dragged her to the bed. Cynthia's heart started to race. No! This can't be happening! Never in her wildest dreams did she think that she would end up in a situation like this.

Oberon pushed her down on his bed and cuffed her one hand alone with the dead rock chain along with the bedframe. Oberon used these cuffs for his mistresses. This was the first time he was using it on a Queen!

Cynthia was terrified, yet she wouldn't show it to this man. She got up from the bed and touched the glossy dead rock chain that had one of her wrists cuffed. She knew very well about this metal! It can't be broken easily. And it started to suppress all her powers.

"Cynthia," Oberon called out her name and held her chin in his hand. She was forced to look at his dark eyes. "Listen to me, love! I am not going to hurt you or touch you against your will. Because I love you—"

Cynthia almost laughed. "Love?! Do you even know what love is?!"

"Yes, I do! I loved you all my life. But I was a coward to confess it to you."

Cynthia assumed that he was trying to manipulate her. She wanted to laugh at the irony. Usually, it was her who did this. Now someone else is trying to do this with her. She shook her head and said, "If you loved me, then why did you banish the Sirens from entering the mainlands?"

Oberon let out a sigh. "You know, love! It is easy to keep everything under control. As a King, I am supposed to do everything that would give me the outcome I need. And it doesn't mean that I didn't try to come and see you. I even came for you despite all the obstacles—but I fell prey to Sapphire—"

Cynthia couldn't believe what he said. It can't be true. Was she the target for Oberon all this time?! "No," she shouted. "You can't have me—"

Oberon smirked. "Oh love! I don't want your permission anymore to get you! You are already mine now—" Then he held her hand and gently caressed her palm with his finger. Cynthia winced and thought that the moon goddess should kill her right at this instant. Why was being punished like this?!

"But we both have to destroy one final obstacle before we get together," he said while tracing her pale cheek with his finger. "You are an entity of light! I know that the Moon Goddess has blessed you with special powers than the rest—"

Cynthia's heart froze. How did he know about it?! She told no one about this—not even to Theo! She thought that revealing this secret might make the other Siren girls fear her. She wanted to blend in with the other girls, so she had hidden her powers. But Oberon knows it?!

Then Oberon clasped her hand and continued to caress her skin gently. "I can feel your blue flames, Cynthia! You have never used them for years, right?! But today you will use it for me. You will battle along with me and help me in destroying the Dawn and her Shadow."

Cynthia chuckled a little. "What makes you think that I will betray my own son for a monster like you?!"

Oberon let go of her hand and moved to the nightstand table. He opened the drawer and took out an Ivory crown with pearls on it that looked slightly smaller than the one he was wearing on his head. Then he placed the crown on Cynthia's head. He adored her beauty for a while. The crown and her hair were the same color.

Cynthia didn't need any more explanation from his side to know what he was coming to say. He was offering her to become the Queen of the light realm. "You are stupid," Cynthia said and took off the crown from her head with her one free hand that wasn't cuffed. "You think that I will come to your side if you offer me this?!"

"Well, what else do you want? Just tell me, love! I'll give you anything that you ask me—"

Then Cynthia realized what was going on in his head. Oberon was terrified inside that he was going to lose his life soon. That was why he was trying to seduce the Siren Queen. She understood that Oberon was trying to use her as a shield to protect himself from Theo.

"Oberon, now you listen to me! I do have blue flames in my body—but they are nothing in front of the powers of the Dawn. Even if I want to help you, I wouldn't be able to do it! So if you want to save your life, better run away from here instead of trying to seduce me. You are wasting your time here—"

"No," Oberon roared. "I am not going to lose. Your son is going to lose. I'll kill him and after that, I'll ravage you for not helping me. But I will be generous to you since I adore you. Tell me, will you help me or not?!"

Cynthia often read in books that a person who is going to be destroyed soon loses his mind and intelligence first. So it is true! The man who was once considered mighty has now lost his intelligence.. Soon he will lose his life too! Then Cynthia was no more furious at him. "You are going to die soon! So there is no use in arguing with you—"
