Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 314 - Generous Heart

Cynthia had prayed to the moon goddess every night that this day shouldn't arrive at all. She had seen this happening in her vision already. And she was aware of how this was going to end! She felt helpless that she couldn't stop this disaster from happening. This was one of the reasons why Cynthia didn't want Theo and Celestia to be together. She knew that Celestia will be the reason for Theo's doom.

Theo loved Celestia more than his life. He is always willing to go to any lengths to help, even if it meant that he had to give away his life. And now Theo was doing exactly that! He had now created an invisible barrier around himself and Oberon. He is definitely not going to win Oberon in this battle! Cynthia had already had nightmares about this moment. She shut her eyes tight as tears formed in her eyes. She didn't have the strength to watch this anymore.

After a while, Cynthia opened her eyes and her gaze fell on Celestia who was trying hard to break the invisible barrier—but in vain. She didn't understand why Theo was fighting alone with Oberon. Little did she know that she herself is the reason for that!

Celestia might have received the powers of Angel from Theo. But she still didn't know how to use her powers. Even if she fought alongside Theo, they wouldn't be able to win. And Celestia deep down still didn't have the heart to kill Oberon. She thinks that he should be given another chance—and that thought will suppress her Angelic powers in the battle against Oberon. Cynthia wanted to yell at Celestia for her soft heart. Why can't she just make up her mind to kill Oberon? She should know that Villains don't deserve a second chance!

Whatever! Now it was her son going to die because of her generous heart. He has to sacrifice his life in order to awaken the anger in Celestia which will lead to unleashing the full form of her Angelic powers. And only that Angel can kill this Shadow Lord!

Cynthia knew about Theo's plan all this time. She knew that he was going to become a sacrifice, yet she did nothing to stop it. But this is the only way they could kill Oberon. Or else Celestia would never get the heart to kill her adopted father! A part of Celestia still loves Oberon for raising her and that part is going to die soon along with Theo!

....

Celestia's POV:

Ever since I got my Angelic powers, I dreaded about the moment I would have to kill Oberon. Even though he is the Villain of my life, a little part of me still loved him as he raised me as his daughter. I even thought of pleading with Theo to spare his life. Is it really necessary to kill him?! Wouldn't it be just enough if we lock up Oberon in the dungeon or something like that?!

But ever since Theo created a barrier around himself and Oberon, I started to dread for Theo's life. What is he thinking?! He doesn't stand a chance against the Shadow Lord. I banged my fists against the invisible barrier and begged Theo to let me in—but he didn't.

His eyes were only focused on Oberon. And Theo was the first one to start the attack. He let out his red flames at Oberon's chest. Oberon jerked back a little but nothing serious happened to him. In return, he cast his bluish-black flames at Theo that made him stumble backwards on the ground.

"Theo," I shouted out. "Let me in now."

"I am sorry, Celestia! I can't let you in now. And don't forget that I am doing this for you," he whispered in my head.

What?! He is doing this for me?! He is trying to get himself killed for me? What good will that do to me?! I immediately ran to Cynthia who had her eyes shut. Only she can change Theo's mind. She is his mother after all!

"My Queen," I screamed and held her hand. "Please talk to your son. He will be dead soon if he doesn't let me in."

When Cynthia opened her eyes, my heart almost stopped. Her eyes were red and tears were flowing down her cheeks. "This is all your fault, Celestia!"

I was shocked. "But how can this be my fault? I never told him to do something like this—"

"But you were planning to go easy on Oberon, didn't you?"

I just nodded.

"That is why Theo is going to die now! Only his death will erase off all the love that you have for Oberon. And only after that, your Angel will make its way to kill Oberon—"

I was stunned for a moment. So this is my fault?!

"But… but…. he doesn't have to die now! Please tell him to open the barrier now. I will kill Oberon and will never think about giving him a second chance. I promise," I cried.

"But it is too late now, Celestia," she pointed her finger at the barrier. "Theo has already fallen now."

"What?! No…"

Then I immediately ran over there and surprisingly the barrier was gone when Theo was crumbling on the ground. Since Theo created the barrier, once he was fallen the barrier got fallen along with him.

"Theo…" I screamed and knelt beside him. Oberon didn't do anything more than just strike one blow at him. But even that made him fall! I placed his head on my lap and patted his hair.

"You are going to be okay, Theo. Please stay with me," I said to him.

"No….. I am not…." When he said that, silver blood came dripping out his mouth.

"Theo...." I began to sob. "You should be alright! You just took one blow—"

When I looked at his torso, I started to cry even more than before.. Oberon had hit him in the heart! Now his whole torso was drenched with blood—and he was still bleeding.
