Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 322 - The King's Speech

Celestia's POV:

When I felt the touch of a familiar energy, I jolted my eyes open. The love of my life was standing next to my bed. Is this a dream?! This must be a dream! Even though it was a dream, I wanted this to last. I probably will never get the chance to see him smile again. So I got down from the bed and put my one barm alone around him as my other arm was still chained to the bed frame.

"Theo, I know this is a dream. But wherever you are please take me with you! I don't want to live in a world where you are not in it—"

Theo cupped my face and gave me a peck on the cheek. The touch of his lips on my cheek felt very real. I blinked my eyes several times to know if this was happening for real or not. But Theo was still standing in front of me! He didn't disappear from my sight! I traced my fingers over his jawline just to know if he was real or not. I even pinched him a little that made him wince.

"Celestia, I am real—"

"But how?! You didn't move for ten days! I thought you left me alone," my eyes started to get blurry with tears.

"Well, I came back from the dead for you! You know, being in heaven wasn't very much fun as you weren't in it," he chuckled slightly.

"You trickster," I gently slapped his face so that it didn't hurt him. He has just come back from the dead so I was scared that slapping him a little harder would hurt him. Then I hugged him again and rested my head on my chest. my "Please don't leave me again Theo! Please, I am begging you…."

"I would never leave you, Celestia! I promise to stay with you for all eternity. You and I are destined to live with each other—"

Then I remembered something that happened to me a while ago. I parted away from Theo and went to Edwin who was standing in the corner of the room and watching us with a teary eye. "Touch me, Edwin," I asked him.

"What?" he frowned.

"Touch me now!"

Edwin stared at Theo who was standing behind me as if asking for his approval. When Theo nodded and asked him to go ahead, Edwin moved his fingers to touch my hand hesitantly. Even before his hand could touch me, he got blown away from me and hit his back on the wall.

"Edwin," I screamed out. "I am really sorry! I was just checking if other men were able to touch me or not. Are you okay?!"

"Yes…" he sighed and got up from the floor. "I am fine. Don't worry about me. I tend to heal soon—"

Yet, I felt bad for Edwin. He had done so much for me. He was a good friend to me and he was even willing to give up his life to save me. "Thank you for being my friend, Edwin," I smiled at him. He smiled back at me while rubbing the back of his neck with his palm.

Then I thanked each and every one of my friends who were there for me through thick and thin. My gaze finally landed on Darius who was looking anxious.

"Celestia," he said nervously and moved near me and Theo. "I really didn't know that our father… my father was this evil."

"It's alright, Darius! I didn't even know about it," I shook my head.

Then Darius looked at Theo. "I think that you should be crowned as the King of the Celestial realm tomorrow. I made sure to spread your tragic tale to everyone in the realm. Now all are on your side and everyone wants you to become their King—"

"What about the High Fae Lords?! Are they okay with me being their King?" Theo raised a question.

"Yes, they are! The Wisdom Faes did try to rebel against you, but I suppressed them all—"

Theo was silent for a moment. He wasn't even upset that some didn't want him to get crowned as he had already anticipated it to happen. He was a Half-Siren after all, and some Faes always hated Sirens.

"Well, it doesn't matter if I get everyone's support or not," Theo confessed. "I am destined to be the King of this realm and I should fulfill my duty."

Later that day Theo acted as if he wasn't bothered about it anymore, but deep down I knew that he was still upset that some people didn't accept him. I thought that I could do something to help him, what can I possibly do? Yet, I had hoped that everything will be alright and that Theo will be acknowledged by each and everyone in this realm.

....

Everyone in the Celestial realm has gathered in the chapel of the Sun God in the early morning. The Archbishop had initiated the coronation ceremony and he had placed the Ivory pearl crown on Theo's head. I was standing on the stage behind him and watched him proudly. He finally made it! This is what he had wanted for a thousand years!

Theo had to overcome so many struggles and obstacles ever since he was young to have this shiny crown on his head! Ever since he was a kid, his only aim was to destroy the evil Oberon and save the people of this realm. Now he finally fulfilled his lifelong goal!

Now it was time for the King's speech. People who were seated in the pews were eagerly waiting for this moment. They wanted to know what their New King had to say. They doubted what difference Theo was going to make in the realm. Will he be the same person as his father was or will he really bring a change to all of them?!

"My dear subjects," Theo began his speech. "I know that a lot of you are doubting me secretly in your mind. Some of you are still not able to believe that I am really the hero! And some of you don't approve of me as I practice dark arts and that I was an Anti-Angel! But now I am going to reveal to you today, why I even join hands with the dark side."

"I did that all for you," he paused for a while to let his words sink into the minds of the people. "My father was fooling all of you! He turned you all against each other and he drained the force of light for his selfish needs. And no one was aware of it except me! I was six years old at that time and no one believed me when I told others that Oberon is an evil King. He was worshipped like a deity and considered as the righteous King. And do you have any idea why no one believed me?"

Everyone was silent and didn't give him a reply. After a while, Theo answered the question that he himself had asked. "No one believed me because people thought that a creature of light can't be evil! We all have a set of beliefs here that Light entities are pure and Shadow entities are always evil. This fake belief had resulted in the war between the Light and Shadow creatures for these many years. And Oberon used this fake belief to suppress you all."

Then everyone in the chapel started to argue with each other seriously. Theo waited for them to stop talking. Once they were done he continued his speech. "You people were fighting and dying in a war that was not even supposed to happen in the first place. A lot of Faes and Mages lost their lives in the war against the Shadow creatures. Many of you in this chapel has lost your loved ones for no reason! And I couldn't sit idle and watch while you people continue to lose your life. That's why I join hands with the dark side to gain more powers. I wanted to resuce you all from the evil King Oberon. Yet, no one understood me! Everyone believed the lies of Oberon and saw me as a Villain—"

Now the people were dead silent in the chapel. They all seemed to feel sorry for Theo. But it wasn't their fault either. It was all Oberon's fault!

"And Oberon never stops sinning," Theo went on. "He made so many light creatures lose their life that at one point the force of light started to diminish. Then he made our Dawn had to give up her life to redeem the force of light. And I was thrown down in the abyss of torment. Even then, I wanted to rescue you, people!"

Now, most of the Faes had tears in their eyes as they kept on listening to Theo's story. Even my eyes were struggling to pour out tears.. I didn't want to cry in front of the people so I pulled myself together and stood still before them.
