Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow
Chapter 83 - A Demon In The Mask Of An Angel...
Celestia's POV:
I have never faked my expressions before. Ever since I was a kid, I have been faithful to my heart. I say things that I have in my mind openly. But now, I am obligated to act in front of Theo!
He strode closer to me and took my waist in his sturdy arms. His green eyes were eyeing my body. "Celestia, I am glad that you are coming back to me slowly," he said.
I smiled a little while I was making eye contact with him. Looking at his eyes is important! An honest person will always look at the eyes of others and speak.
"I can't be mad at you for so long, even if I tried," I asserted.
A dimpled smile formed on his face. Even now, I wasn't able to stop admiring his elegance. This is so shameful of me! Why do I still adore him?
His lips gently touched my cheek and pecked me. My face went golden after that as I blushed. "My Queen, it is time for the feast. Everybody is waiting for us. Shall we go downstairs?"
I smiled and held his hand. I have a feeling that my face is going to hurt by the end of the night due to over smiling.

Theo and I got into the banquet hall, which was on the first floor of the palace. He didn't leave my hand even after we got in the hall. I was astonished by the way everything was composed in the room.
A long wooden table that was two-thirds the length of the hall was placed in the center. There were more than four fire chandeliers lit up in the ceiling as it was night.
My jaw dropped when I saw the food varieties on the table because there was roasted meat. I can't fake this anymore! I grew up as a vegetarian, and no Highland Fae has touched meat in their life.
Father Oberon considered eating the flesh of another creature is a sin, and it impures the body. I find that eating innocent animals is a cruel thing! It is something the demons will do.
But lowland Mages and witches never followed Father Oberon's advice. They hunted innocent animals, and they ate their meat. This is one of the major reasons why my Father considered the Lowlanders as impure entities.
I glanced at Theo in disbelief. Is he expecting me to eat meat now? That is never going to happen! No matter how much he threatens me, I will not eat an innocent animal.
Theo seemed to comprehend my thoughts just by glancing at me. "My Queen, you don't have to worry about that! I have instructed the white witches to bring Fae food for you. All of this meat is for the Mages and the Siren girls."
I breathed out in relief as I heard what he said. As long as I don't have to eat lowland food, I will be fine, and I can keep up the act.
The white witches greeted us with a warm smile on their faces, and they made Theo and me sit on the head of the long banquet table. Since we both were seated at the head of the table, we were able to face all of our subjects who arrived soon after that.
The Mage Lord Magnus sat on the right side of us, and the Southern Lord Arcadia sat on the left-hand side. All the other important subjects and warrior Mages occupied the rest of the seats at the banquet table.
Once everyone arrived, the feast began. The white witches placed golden plates in front of us, and they served me different varieties of berries and steamed vegetables.
They also placed a goblet next to my plate. I got scared as I thought it was firewater, but it turned out to be just milk with honey! It is my favorite.
I took the golden fork and began to munch on the juicy berries first! It has been a long time since I had these. Meanwhile, Theo, who was right next to me, was eating meat!
I tried hard to focus the attention on my plate alone. I am a Fae by heart, and I was taught that self-control is vigor. So I can't blame the others for their carnal appetite because they were all raised this way.
After we all finished our meal, the white witches brought us desserts which were berry salads. Well, it was dessert for others, but for me, it was a meal again.
When the dessert was over, everyone took their goblets. Theo got up from his chair and looked at his subjects, who were clasping the stem of the cups in their hands.
"My dear subjects," Theo shouted out so that everyone could hear him. "This is a new beginning to all of us! From now on, the Mages can raise their heads and face the Highland Faes because you have a stable ruler now."
At that time, I noticed that only I was not following the protocol of holding the goblet. So I took the cup immediately and pretended to admire Theo's speech.
"I promise you all fairness under my rule," Theo went on. "Unlike King Oberon, I don't know to be partial to my subjects. I will not be discriminating against my people on the basis of weak and strong. I promise that every one of you will be treated equally."
All the subjects tapped the table with their fists and applauded Theo. Then he looked at me and signaled me to get up from my chair. I immediately did what he said.
Theo clasped my hand and continued his speech. "We all are lucky to have the Dawn as our Queen. She is the epitome of power and justice! She will aid me in bringing peace to our lands. Let us all hail our Queen."
"We all hail the Dawn!" the subjects raised their glasses and yelled out in unison. I watched them quietly for a while.
I wasn't able to restrain myself from feeling pity for these people. I didn't pity the Sirens, though, as they are associates of Theo. But the Mages and wizards are on the side of light, and now without their knowledge, they have given place to darkness in their lands.
They are not aware that a Demon in the mask of an Angel is their King now!
