Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 82 - Confuse The Foe With Sugar-coated Words...

Celestia's POV:

I finally lost hope in everything! What is the use of having hope when you find out there is no way out of this situation? Theo has officially won the war. He has overpowered me, and soon he is going to defeat Father Oberon.

Then he is going to rule the whole Celestial realm according to his will! And the worst thing is he expects me to be beside him as his Queen while he ruins the realm!

And he expects me to love him?!!! Does he think that imprisoning a person in a cage is love? I don't know if things will ever be right again. Is this going to be my life from now on?

Tangerine was wailing in her cage. She wanted to be freed from her cage for a while. But I hesitated to do it as I didn't want her to get in trouble here. What if she attacks Theo again and gets hurt?

Ivory and Amelia got into my room when Tangerine was wailing out so loud in her cage. They both were carrying a long green gown.

"Please control your bird," Ivory instructed me. I was already in a lousy mood, and when Ivory showed up, I got even more annoyed than I was before.

She then placed the gown on the bed and stared at me. "You are instructed to wear this and come to the Royal Feast tonight. Theo is going to declare you as the Queen of lowlands officially in front of everyone."

"I am not coming," I reacted instantly.

Ivory grunted at my reply. "That was not a request, Celestia. It is an order from the King Silver Shadow, which you are obligated to follow. "

"I am sorry, but I don't take orders from a trickster! And I don't want to be his Queen. So I am not going to wear this fancy gown, and I will not go to his feast."

She got impatient with my adamant answers. I hoped that she would leave me alone now, but she didn't.

"You are clearly underestimating Theo's wrath," Ivory mumbled. "Since he is in love with you, he has been tolerating your stubbornness for this long. And you should know something about him! He is a totally different person when he gets furious, and I think you saw that side of him yesterday."

I began to tremble as I thought about that. Tangerine, who was wailing for so long, got silent immediately.

"He might not hurt you directly since he loves you so much! But he can take away the things that are important to you if you disobey him," Ivory said and frightened me.

"But he will do anything for you, Celestia," the Siren girl Amelia interrupted. She clutched her strawberry blonde hair and said, "He will do anything to fascinate you. But if you try to get away from him, he will do anything to bring you back!"

"Okay," I finally agreed. "I will come to the feast."

"That is better!" Ivory smiled at me. After that, they both went out of my room.

Whatever Ivory said kept reeling on my mind for the next few hours. 'He might not hurt you directly since he loves you so much! But he can take away the things that are important to you if you disobey him.'

So that is why he hurt Tangerine! And if I disobey him, then he might do something to my pet again. I should not yell at him anymore.

There is no use in arguing with him or fighting with him because it will not give a solution. Instead, it will trigger his wrath even more, and he will lose his mind.

That is not the way to deal with the enemy! Darius has taught me that, in a battle, one should not constantly offend the opponent as it will end up triggering the wrath of the enemy. It is like giving additional power to our opponents!

He told me that we would have to confuse our foe with our sugar-coated words. Then we have to strike the opponent when they least expect an attack! This strategy had worked when I battled with Shadow creatures in the past.

I have been a fool for this long! I should not have gotten into a verbal spat with him. That is why he lost his mind and hurt Tangerine! I am not going to repeat it.

From now on, I am going to drown him with my kindness. His heart will believe me. And when he least expects it, I am going to stab his heart and finish him!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The feast was about to start in an hour. I put on the green gown that Ivory gave me. No one came to help me with my hair, so I did my hair by myself the way I knew. I didn't know how to tie up a perfect bun, so I decided to let my hair down.
My long gown was strapless, and it was tight enough to show off my curves and my tiny waist. The lower portion of my dress was very long, and it was sweeping the floor.
I would not say that I like long clothes because I prefer short gowns more. They are more comfortable to wear. Unfortunately, Queens don't get to wear short gowns when they are facing their subjects.
As I looked at myself in the long mirror on the wall, I struggled to accept myself as a Queen. This is not me! It is like pretending to be someone else. But that is what I should do for now. I should act in front of Theo.
At that moment, Theo got into my room. He was wearing a green armored suit and a long brown cape. I noticed that his robes were decorated with both emerald and quartz stones.
Emerald represented the Valley region, and Quartz stones represented the Southern region. So his robes signify the Union of the whole Lowlands region.
Theo was scanning and admiring me like I was a shooting star.
"You look so good, my love," he praised me.
I gave him a fake smile and pretended to accept his compliment.
