Forever Destined To The Silver Shadow

Chapter 81 - I Never Intended To Hurt Your Pet...

Celestia's POV:

I didn't even get the chance to say a proper goodbye to my friends. He took Tangerine and me back to the emerald palace. I was still reeling from the shock of everything that happened so far.

Once we reached the hallway of the palace, Theo walked away without even glancing at me. I made a mistake by assuming that he is an Angelic Demon. In reality, he is just a Demon!

Ivory stepped in front of me and pursued her lips disgruntledly. "I can't believe you are the Queen of the Lowlands now," she said.

I sighed out as I got frustrated by her words. "I can't believe that either. And I don't want to be the Queen! I would very much appreciate it if you take my role as Queen!"

Ivory shook her head immediately. "Unfortunately, Theo is in love with you! Or else he would have made me the Queen."

"Theo is not in love with me," I cried out in anger. "Because he is a Demon, and he can't feel love!"

Ivory gave me a hopeless glare. "Seriously, you don't deserve Theo! All you do is hurt him, but still, he is frantic for you."

"Sometimes I wish that I was Celestia," said the Siren girl who stood next to Ivory.

These girls are out of their minds! I doubted if they were high on firewater or something like that. Who in their right mind would desire to be tricked by a trickster?

"One day, you will understand Theo," Ivory stated. "And on that day, you will regret so much for hurting him like this. "

It took me a while to understand what she was coming to say. Theo must have instructed them to talk him up to me. I am not dimwitted to not comprehend his strategy!

From now on, no matter what these Sirens say to me, I am not going to believe them!

Ivory and the other Siren girl, whose name turned out to be Amelia, locked me up in a large room. They also caged Tangerine in a medium-sized golden cage.

Unlike the other places, this room was well designed and organized. This must have been the private chamber of the Mage Lord Magnus.

The four-poster bed was enclosed with bright green curtains that sparkled under the fire chandelier light that was on the ceiling. I placed the birdcage on the table that was close to the bed. I sat down on the bed and watched her quietly.

At least I have one friend here! But even she was giving me pity glares with her golden-brown eyes. I am glad that Theo fixed her wings!

My healing powers are not very deep, and it would have even taken Daviana a lot of time to reattach her wing. But Theo should not have hurt her in the first place!

And just when I was thinking about the Demon, he got in the room. I let my hair down and covered my face partially with my golden locks of hair.

Tangerine got scared when he got closer to us. She began to screech and fly around the cage. "Tangerine, it's okay! I will not let you hurt him again," I calmed her down.

When Theo came and sat beside me, I turned away from him. He tried to put my hair back, which was framing my face, but I pushed his hand away from me.

"Don't touch me!" I yelled while I was facing the wall.

"Celestia," he said my name in his usual tone. "What should I have to do to console you?"

I didn't respond to him. Is there any use in speaking to him?

"I did everything to please you," he continued to defend himself. "Even though Daviana and Ember betrayed me and hid you in the cottage for two days, I chose to let them go without punishing them. Do you know why? Because I swore to you that I would never hurt your friends, and I didn't go behind my words."

I tried hard to control my inner emotions! I despised him so much that I don't even want to look at him. It is good that I have hair that is long enough to cover my face!

"What more should I have to do, Celestia?"

"I will never forgive you for hurting Tangerine," I lashed out. "How could you do this to her? You are worse than a Demon!"

"Are you forgetting that I am the one who healed her too?" Theo questioned me.

I finally turned to him and glared at him hopelessly. But my hair was still partially covering my face.

"Do you seriously have no remorse for hurting her?"

Theo squeezed his eyes shut and looked up at the ceiling. "It was a moment of impulse," he mumbled. "You were refusing to come with me, and your firebird was attacking me! I lost my sanity entirely and took it out on her. I am sorry about that. I never intended to hurt your pet."

He then glanced to my side and said, "But you hurt me so much by running away from me! Do you have any idea how hurt I felt when you were not with me for the past two days? You are the reason I lost my sanity in the first place. If you had not run away, then all of this would not have happened!"

I stared at him in astonishment. "Are you seriously trying to blame me?"

"Yes," he answered back. "You have no regard for other people's feelings. One day you say that you love me, and the next day you run away from me!"

"But you are the one who manipulated and lied to me," I cried out hopelessly. "You are causing chaos everywhere to gain control over people. And you used me! You tricked me into taking the Oath of Eternity. Now you forcefully brought me here!"

"Is this what you think about me?" he asked me grimly and got up from the bed. "I never tricked you into anything! We both are meant to be together. But your eyes are blinded by hatred right now. You won't understand me!"

Even Tangerine stopped screeching after that. I had no more words left to say to him. Because he somehow twists all of his words and blames me in the end!

"Remember this, Celestia," Theo announced sternly.. "Don't ever try to run away from me again! Because no matter where you go, I will eventually find you."
