Forsaken By Love

Di Zhiqing frowned slightly when she heard what He Lixue said. She understood why she was so aggressive, but the words were not pleasant to the ear, and she was sure that Lin Xiulan would not lie to her; she even had the paperwork from the First Hospital in the Imperial Capital!

"Let us go," Master Lu looked at the uncomfortable expression on Lin Xiulan's face and instantly knew that things were not as she had said. He was an old man in the business circle; how could he not see through such a poorly constructed lie? 

Lu Nanfeng was also furious, his hands were clenched in tight fists, and his teeth gritting against each other in anger. 

How dared Lin Xiulan say that he had been He Lixue unfaithful! He was not Lin Xiulan; he was not going to cheat on the person he loved, not even if he had been drunk. 

"Where are we going?" Di Zhiqing asked with a furrowed brow. If they just left like this, would Lin Xiulan not be wronged then? 

"To the hospital," He Lixue said, her eyes cold. How could Lin Xiulan dare try to trick them, how dared she scheme against Lu Nanfeng like this? She had to rob her of her mask and let Di Zhiqing understand what kind of woman she favored so much. 

Lin Xiulan's face paled noticeably when she heard He Lixue's words, but at this point, Di Zhiqing proved to be a pig-like teammate. "Yes, let us hurry to the hospital so that Nanfeng can understand that he is supposed to be a father. Miss He, don't take it personally, he was drunk and unaware of what he did when he was with Xiulan, but you really can't let the child grow up without a fa..."

"Be quiet." Master Lu said in a low voice and glanced at Di Zhiqing with a faint look that instantly shut her up. 

The group went to the cars outside, and while Lin Xiulan wanted to escape, she was not sure how. Should she fake a miscarriage? 

But that required blood, and she had no idea how to do that. She could not just go to the hospital though; she was going to be like a lamb on the chopping block. Even Di Zhiqing would not continue to support her if she knew she had schemed like this to get Lu Nanfeng, and her pale face was full of panic.

"My stomach hurts," she mumbled, her eyes full of fear. "Dearest, don't worry," Di Zhiqing looked distressed at Lin Xiulan. "I understand that this is stressful, but it is for the best to get everything solved as soon as possible. Both you and the baby need Lu Nanfeng much more than Miss He; I am sure that she will give up as soon as she knows that the baby in your stomach belongs to him."

He Lixue looked at Di Zhiqing with a glance, and then she said with a cold voice. "If Miss Lin is truly pregnant with Lu Nanfeng's child, then I will indeed leave. I am not so bighearted that I can forgive someone who has betrayed me."

Hearing this, all four people in the car, apart from He Lixue, had different thoughts. Lu Nanfeng sneered; he knew that He Lixue would never forgive him if she cheated on her, much like he would never forgive someone who cheated on him. 

Di Zhiqing was ecstatic. He Lixue had said it herself; she was willing to withdraw and let Lin Xiulan and Lu Nanfeng be together! It seemed that although she was stubborn, she was not such a bad person after all.

But Lin Xiulan just gritted her teeth. She felt that He Lixue was cheating. It was obvious to her, that He Lixue had guessed that she was actually not pregnant, and thus she dared say such words. How dare she play her like a tool!

He Lixue herself was calm. She believed in Lu Nanfeng, and knew that he would never cheat on her, but if he did do that one day, then she would leave him, even if it would break her heart. 

She was not willing to be in a relationship where one person cheated on the other. 

Like this, the car descended into silence, and everyone had their own thoughts as the car arrived at a military hospital in the Imperial Capital.

Lu Nanfeng had intentionally picked this hospital, and he needed to pull some strings to allow them in, but when they arrived, Lin Xiulan paled. If it was the First Hospital, she might still be able to trick them, but if they were here, she had no chance. 

Her body collapsed, and she trembled as she fell to her knees, looking at Lu Nanfeng as if she hoped that he would spare her for the embarrassment that she hoped that he would not completely disgrace her in front of Di Zhiqing, but Lu Nanfeng was cold and callous. He did not care about Lin Xiulan after what she had done to him, and her attempt at trying to separate him from He Lixue had already far surpassed the limits he could accept. 

Lu Nanfeng was full of fury, but he was so cold and did not display his anger, but when he looked at Lin Xiulan, she could feel the coldness in his eyes, she could not help but tremble in fear.

Lu Nanfeng had no interest in helping her. He had no interest in supporting her at all. 

Lin Xiulan knew that it was over. She was shaking, and before they could enter the hospital, she crawled to Lu Nanfeng's legs and grabbed hold of his trousers, while tears and mucus began flowing freely from her eyes and nose.

"I am sorry!" she exclaimed. "I know I should not lie, but you won't even look at me anymore!" 

Hearing her words, which were tantamount to saying that she had been lying, caused Di Zhiqing to frown. What was Lin Xiulan saying?
