Forsaken By Love

Lin Xiulan was a complete mess as she was lying on the ground, trying to hold onto Lu Nanfeng's legs, begging for mercy. 

She knew that her gamble had gone the wrong way, and she dared not even look at Di Zhiqing, as she knew that what she would see in her eyes would be disappointment. 

Master Lu frowned when he saw Lin Xiulan acting like this, and he was quite displeased with her actions this time. He had not doubted his son. From the start, he had been very skeptical about the whole pregnancy situation, but he understood that his wife was blind when it came to Lin Xiulan.

He somehow wanted to use this situation to make his wife wake up and see what kind of white-eyed wolf she had been rearing. To show her what kind of person Lin Xiulan indeed was.

However, now that the situation was happening, he felt no sense of p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e or achievement, but just disgust towards Lin Xiulan. She had collapsed on the ground, begging to be taken back by Lu Nanfeng, but she had never considered what could have happened between Lu Nanfeng and He Lixue if either of them had believed in her.

She was happy to break up a loving couple; she was happy to destroy their happiness for her own selfishness. Such a person was one they never wanted to have close to them.

Even Di Zhiqing, who had been blinded for a long time by Lin Xiulan, felt that something was wrong with her reaction this time. 

While it was true that Di Zhiqing wanted Lin Xiulan to be her daughter in law, she was not willing to force Lu Nanfeng. 

She wanted Lu Nanfeng to notice that He Lixue was merely a golddigger, and that the only one who truly loved him was Lin Xiulan, but she could not help but feel that Lin Xiulan had taken it too far this time. Her scheming was not at all acceptable for anyone. 

Not only had she schemed against Lu Nanfeng, but she had also abused the favor that she had been given by Di Zhiqing, but she had also been betting on Lu Nanfeng's mother's love to try and force Lu Nanfeng. 

During the drive, Di Zhiqing had also noticed that He Lixue had faith in Lu Nanfeng. Since he said that he had not touched Lin Xiulan, He Lixue had trusted in him and had not caused a scene or even questioned him at all. 

Such faith was rare, and Di Zhiqing could not help but look at He Lixue in another light. Was she really just a golddigger just as Lin Xiulan had said?

It seemed that she needed to be a bit more critical in the future. She could not fully believe everything that Lin Xiulan told her, and she had to form her own opinions about He Lixue. She even had to question Lin Xiulan's motives for being so close to her everyday. Was it merely because she, Di Zhiqing, was a useful tool? 

But while everyone was busy thinking their own things, Lin Xiulan was trying to crawl up to be held in Lu Nanfeng's arms, but Lu Nanfeng looked at her with disgust and kicked her away. 

Although he was not an overly violent person, he was truly disgusted with this woman who wanted to destroy the relationship he had with He Lixue. 

Being kicked, Lin Xiulan fell to the ground once more. Her clothes were untidy, and her hair was a nest of a mess. Her makeup, which had been applied generously, was smeared because of the tears, making her look like a ghost. 

The ones inside the hospital had come out to see what was happening, but upon seeing that the ones who had arrived were Lu Nanfeng and the Lu family, they were all stunned.

They became even more stunned when they saw the mess of a woman who was lying on the ground, and their eyes widened in surprise when they realized that it was the miss of the Lin family, Lin Xiulan.

Being noticed by so many people, Lin Xiulan felt that she had lost all face she had, but it was not the end for her, Lu Nanfeng suddenly spoke up.

"I am not going to put you in jail this time for blackmailing, but if you try to separate Lixue and myself again, then I am not going to be merciful."

Hearing his words, everyone was stunned. Lin Xiulan truly had the guts of a leopard, trying to blackmail Lu Nanfeng!

No one understood exactly how she had blackmailed him, and Lu Nanfeng did not say. Still, everyone realized that the Lin family was going to become very unlucky in the future and that one had to decide between the Lu and Lin families, and the choice was straightforward. No one would pick the Lin family over the Lu family.

She was scared. If Lu Nanfeng wanted to deal with her, she would have no way of retaliating. 

The Fenghuang Group had been growing at a speed that was unmatched, and their cash flow could cripple any other company they wished to see as their enemy.

If Lu Nanfeng stomped his foot, the entire world's economy would tremble. He was not only able to influence their country's economy; no, he was globally amongst the very top.

Up until now, Lu Nanfeng had been ignoring Lin Xiulan and her attempts at getting close to him, but after this stunt, could he really continue acting so indifferent? Lin Xiulan did not know, and she was fearful. If he indeed decided to move against her and her family, they would be an easy target.
