"Are you serious?"I asked him as I was wondering what changed his mind.

"Yeah it's necessary but before that, I need to tell you something," said Ali.

"And what's that?" I said to him.

" Something about Sterben that you need to know," he said while his hand was shaking, was he afraid of Sterben? that's what came to my mind.

I took Ali to the lounge to talk to him, I poured him a glass of mango juice which I pulled out from my inventory. I always kept necessary things in the inventory like food, medicine, extra clothing and weapons to use in an emergency like if I get lost or kidnapped or something.

"Drink this and talk, it's better for you to relax first," I said to him.

He drank it.

" Feeling better," I asked.

"Yeah"

"So tell me," I said to him.

"Really what's his power?"

"Something like a shadow, he could disappear and reappear from shadows, also he can control other people by controlling their shadows"

"That's interesting, now tell me what did he do to you?"

" Ever since this zombie charade started in this city I ended up joining a group of survivors, while I was out hunting and scavenging I encountered Sterben's men and took them down, as I went back, our base was destroyed everyone was dead and Sterben sitting there as if he was waiting for me"

"That's bad"

"I was enraged and attacked, he stopped and I was paralyzed unable to move, and what's worse was that he was toying with me, he engaged with me in hand to hand combat and toyed with me by paralyzing me whenever I found an opening to attack him and trash-talked saying how weak and incompetent I was not being capable enough to protect my comrades."

"That sadistic bastard son of a bitch"

"Not only that he tortured me by slashing and stabbing me with his blade after he was done he stabbed me with his sword and left me for dead, I fainted and thought I was going to die but after a while, I woke up and stabbed wounds mysteriously healed, somehow I survived"

"Interesting his ability is dangerous, so you basically have trauma when it comes to Sterben," I said.

"Don't worry I will take him down and avenge your friends and comrades"

"You have a plan to beat him?" he asked.

"Yeah," I said while drinking.

"And what's that?"

"Train hard get stronger and beat the shit out of him"

"You think it's that simple huh," he said.

"Yes, it is," I said. He stared at me.

"Look this time you have help and with me around it won't be so bad, "I said.

"Now then let's suit up," I asked Jean to come to the armory to suit up. I asked Jean for help and explained everything to her . She agreed to help me since she wanted to put herself to the test.

"We're going out on a dangerous mission," I said to her

"What about me? What am I gonna do?" asked Hannah.

"It's simple you be a good girl and stay here look after yourself," said Jean.

"No fair come on let me come I can be of help," said Hannah.

"Yes, but I can't risk you getting hurt or killed," I said to her.

"Bollocks," she said.

"Come with me" I grabbed her hand and took her to the base.

"What's this?" she said 

"My secret club room," I said to her.

"You want me to look after her?"

"Yes and lock the rooms with the dangerous equipment and keep her entertained with cartoons, games whatever she likes"

"Okay, as you wish," he said.

"Be a good girl and listen to V" I said to Hannah.

"You want me to listen to a talking computer," she said.

"Yes and behave, also protect yourself," I said to her and handed her a Walther PPK 380auto.

"Okay," she said to me and gave me a kiss on the cheek.

I went back to the armory.

"Your back already I thought you were gonna take some time to convince her," said Ali.

"In my secret club room," I said.

"right," said jean sarcastically.

They were wearing the body armor that I made for them over the black ops uniform. I made kevlar body armor in black color and leather jackets that contained microfibers that could stand harshest conditions. 

"Damn these are legit," said Ali.

"I don't think I need body armour cause you know I'm bulletproof," said Jean.

"Yeah, but better be safe than sorry," I said.

Ali took a Glock-17 9mm, desert eagle 50 cal, and the M16 rifle for firearms, he was wearing gauntlets and shin guards made out of Titanium steel for close combat and two knives a Kabar and a stinger. 

As for Jean, she took a 357 colt python, SIG Sauer p320x5 9mm, and Armalite Ar-15 rifle for firearms, as for melee weapons a hatchet and a kukri, and a broad sword as the main weapon.

I bought all kinds of swords from the Gamer's shop so I can have my own sword collection jean became interested in learning swordsmanship so I taught her and trained with her she was fond of western longswords, broadswords, and shortswords.

As for me, I picked FK Bruno 7.5 FK, S&W 500 magnum, and Ak-47 rifle for firearms, as for melee weapons my E-rank tanto knife and M48 highland dirk knife also my main weapon a Chinese Jian sword.

"So how do we track down Sterben's goons?" asked Ali.

"There at the district-9 supermarket looting goods," I said.

"How do you know that?" asked Jean.

"I just know" I use my clairvoyance to find them and it was easy, these goons were in my range. My clairvoyance works in a limited range.

We sat in the jeep and took off.
