After killing the hookman I earned some rewards, some items dropped from the hookman, one was the outfit of the hookman a B-rank item that had a special power, by wearing this I can teleport around like the hookman also I got the hook of the hookman, it looked like a kama I appraised it I got no info about it nothing not it's rank or anything else. It had the same skull as my knife which now transformed into a sword. It changed back into a knife I checked it by using appraisal turns out this thing was a treasure it was an S-rank item with had infinite stats also it had a special ability called death touch, meaning if anyone gets cut by this weapon ends up dying instantly. Back then when I received this knife I appraised it was the same deal as the kama I wasn't able to appraise it but now I can see its stats. Seriously what's the deal with these weapons and why does Azrael had this knife and how did he know about me encountering the Hookman?

I leveled up by 2 points now I was level 18 and had 2 skill points also I got 1 million g points for killing the bastard. I pulled out a bike from my inventory and went back home. I first went inside the armory and placed my guns back to where they were from my inventory. I decided to keep the knife and the kama inside my inventory, these were valuable items that need to be kept in the inventory. I took off my armor and went back to the apartment.

Jean came and asked me " Niam thank god your back where were you?"

"I was out hunting so I can level up"

"Next time take me with you I was worried sick okay"

"Sure I will where's Ali ?"

"He has been training on the roof since morning ?"

"Wow, really I thought he would be dead asleep?"

" No he's been training with me and Hannah, hardly took a break"

"Looks like he's motivated, say do you have anything to eat?"

The next day I went to train on the roof, I wanted to check what skills I can choose. I spend 2 points on 2 new skills one skill called "full counter", a skill that allows me to counter any attack basically deflect attack back at them . Like Meliodas from the anime "The 7 deadly sins" who could counter basically deflect any attack. And another skill called "Clairvoyance" a skill that would allow me to gain information about an object, person, location, or physical event through extrasensory perception. I really needed clairvoyance this would allow me to locate things and people.

After choosing the skills I think it was time that I purchase a spellbook from the shop. It's time now that I start learning magic since it would be most useful. It's a good thing that I have more than enough points to purchase magic. The first type of magic we unlocked was elemental magic, the first book I purchased was a book that contained spells of pyromancy basically destruction magic perfect for eliminating zombies, and besides fire is the most dangerous element other than lightning. Also, another spellbook called bound blade a conjuring spell that would allow me to create blades using magic just like in Skyrim and another spell called Heal, restoration magic good for healing people I can't always rely on potions. As I thought I had bought enough spellbooks another spellbook caught my eyes a spellbook of Soul magic according to its description this magic can affect the soul of any living being. The first 3 spells cost me 60,000 G points but the Soul magic book cost me 100000 g points. That soul book better is worth it, cause it cost me 100k. 

I didn't know what to do with these books. I grabbed one book and opened it to read it, a screen popped up saying

"Do you want to learn pyromancy spell?

Option yes or no" 

I choose yes and the book magically disappeared, felt like it was absorbed by me or something. Every bit of knowledge from the book was inside my mind. I tried one of the spells nothing happened I concentrated and fired a small fireball. 

"Woah, it worked, it really worked, awesome" it was a small fireball but it worked I actually did magic real magic, not tricks but magic. This thing won't be enough to burn or destroy a zombie. I tried another spell fire surge a small amount of flame came out of my hand like a flamethrower. "Okay, seriously what the hell? is this a joke?" I said feeling frustrated.

Maybe I am missing something.

"Right I got it I need a catalyst?"

I am so stupid all I need was a catalyst to cast magic properly. A catalyst basically a wand or staff or something that would allow me to cast spells like harry potter or Gandalf from the Lord of the rings. I checked the gamer's shop and looked for the catalyst, the catalyst was available in wands, staff, scepters, also in rings, some were also available in melee weapons but they are ranked B and I can't buy them since they were locked and they cost above 1 million G points. I checked and bought myself a ring which cost me 200000$, for an F rank item this ring was expensive. What suċkėd more was that it had terrible durability I can only use a spell 100 times after that it breaks and can only be repaired by a restoration spell. Cause of that I bought another one as a backup.

"Seriously, this whole magic shit is too expensive?" . I spend more than half a million G points. 

I had to purchase that spellbook and it cost me 30k.

"This shit cost me a lot so this better work goddammit"

I put on the ring and cast a fireball.

"Boom," I said and shot a fireball.

"Now that's what you call a fireball" 

I tried again this time I cast a fire surge and flames came out of my hand like coming out of a flame thrower.

"Sweet". Like this, I absorbed the other books and cast all sorts of spells.

"Whoa now that's what I'm talking," I said that. Healing worked, creating a magic sword or a knife also worked and Soul magic was just like the magic in Dark souls that awesome fantasy RPG game, casting soul arrows, soul spear, Farron dart, and stuff.

I noticed my mp hit zero and I couldn't cast any more spells. I went back down Ali was standing in front of the door.

"Ali," I said.

"I'm ready Niam"

"Ready? Ready for what? " i asked.

"Let's go after Sterben," he said to me.
