Chapter 104: The Princess’s Delusions
Noah could have easily ignored her, but he pondered for a moment.
It would be quite amusing to mock her in this moment of triumph.
So, he made his entrance, just as Valentina wished.
After all, to be scolded without a reaction hardly suited the demeanor of a hidden boss.
“Ha! The princess seems in high spirits! How does it feel to have slain your own mentor?”
Noah did not deny his voyeuristic tendencies; instead, he turned to ‘attack’ Valentina.
In her eyes, Noah appeared like a specter, materializing in the moonlit park, still clad in his frivolous and chaotic demeanor, exuding an aura that was both elusive and perilous.
Yet, this was merely an objective observation. In the princess’s view, the mere sight of Noah sent a thrill through her, igniting a warmth within her body. If she did not actively control her expression, a joyful smile would instinctively break forth.
For despite his harsh words, it was precisely because of Noah’s aid that she could rid herself of the vile man, Allen, who lurked beside her.
How could someone so devoted to her also wear such a cruel facade? Hmph~ Truly a twisted god, isn’t he?
“…Mediocre, I suppose. He’s called a mentor, but I am not merely his sole tutor.”
Valentina, grateful to Noah, feigned indifference, appearing somewhat displeased, yet clearly indicating that her relationship with Allen was not as intimate as it seemed, hoping Noah would not misunderstand.
“Ha! So he doesn’t even qualify as a mentor? How unfortunate for him!”
Noah laughed heartily, showing no remorse for the dead, as if genuinely delighted, offering little apology for misjudging their relationship.
Valentina quietly observed Noah’s reaction, then continued:
“What a thoroughly insincere apology. Perhaps you should learn a thing or two from Clyde? He would never laugh so crudely, you know?”
This was her way of probing Noah’s opinion of Clyde, as well as gauging his reaction to her praise of another man.
“Clyde? Oh, you mean that weakling? He’s so dull I nearly forgot his name.”
Regrettably, Noah did not display even a hint of jealousy at the mention of another man, which truly disappointed Valentina, causing her previously feigned displeasure to morph into genuine dissatisfaction.
“Apologies, Princess, but I am a barbaric, unruly, and delightfully wicked god who revels in tormenting mortals. If you wish for me to quiet down, you’ll need to put in quite the effort. Yes, like that woman who sealed me away—then I’d have no choice but to be silent.”
A sardonic smile graced Noah’s face, appearing as insufferable as ever, yet subtly hinting that the princess should find a way to seal him.
He had made his intentions so clear, portraying himself as the type of villain who, in underestimating the protagonist, willingly exposed his weaknesses to be defeated. Surely, with the princess’s cleverness, she would know what to do.
“…Is that so? Then let’s pretend I never asked. I’m off to check on Clyde’s condition. Don’t you dare resurrect that man out of mere curiosity! I’ve no desire to hear his voice again.”
Though it might be a ruse by Noah, Valentina always felt that Noah truly looked down upon her childhood friend Clyde, and this was a useful piece of information.
Thus, as Her Highness the Princess feigned concern and walked toward the boy, she couldn’t help but tease Noah with her words.
As for sealing Noah? Nonsense. Even if Noah wished to be sealed away, she wouldn’t allow him to divert his gaze from her, not for a moment.
Unless, of course, she were to be sealed alongside him—then she might consider it.
“Well, that’s quite an amusing thought! Why not resurrect and mass-produce this fellow? I’d love to see the expression on your face, Princess, when faced with dozens of him. It must be quite the spectacle!”
Watching the Princess turn to approach the still-unconscious victim, Noah followed with keen interest.
Not content with merely following, he wore a look of delight, proposing a terrifying image that could plunge the Princess’s mood into despair.
Dozens of tentacled Allens laughing at her in unison?
Ugh, no, just the thought made her want to retch. After stepping on each of those Allens, her shoes would surely be beyond salvaging.
At that moment, Valentina had mentally demoted Allen to a status even lower than that of a thesis defense, making the very image nauseating to her.
Ah, but if it were dozens of Noahs, she would welcome that, wouldn’t she?
What would that be? Paradise?
As she reached the slumbering Clyde, Valentina found herself contemplating Noah behind her, feeling no aversion to his words. In fact, she felt a thrill rising within her.
Noah, walking behind her, remained blissfully unaware of the fervent expression that flickered across the Princess’s face, still believing he was being bothersome as he said:
“However, let’s be clear, this incident has nothing to do with me, right? Whether it’s that guy’s plan or your childhood friend’s fainting spell, I’m not involved. Ah, of course, there’s an indirect connection—after all, it’s probably because I was pretending to be your childhood friend that he got so worked up.”
“…You do realize it’s all because of your ridiculous confession act, right? It’s utterly dreadful.”
The Princess replied impatiently, her mind automatically replacing the image of that day’s confession with Noah’s true self, and the manner of confession was just as frivolous and crude as Noah himself.

【Oh, Princess, you still wear that foolish face, don’t you? It’s quite unbearable to look at, yet I find your shameful demeanor rather endearing! Come now, indulge yourself, fall deeper! You’ll never escape me! Why not embrace your role as a fallen saintess devoted to my religion?】
Heh, heh~ No problem, oh Divine One~ I shall worship you to the point where even your annoyance won’t stop my devotion! ❤~
Just imagining it, the Princess couldn’t help but nearly laugh aloud, a laugh she knew was tinged with a morbid and eerie quality.
Fortunately, her excitement was abruptly quelled by the sudden appearance of an expressionless face in her line of sight.
Indeed, it was the face of her childhood friend, the one she had once trusted most.
Yet this very person had spoken words in front of Agatha that were the complete opposite of what he had said to her, and now he had become a hostage in this incident.
While it couldn’t all be blamed on him, Valentina still felt a twinge of disappointment.
Sigh… Why isn’t the Divine One my childhood friend?
If I had met him sooner, I wouldn’t have to pretend to hide these feelings; I would have surely made the Divine One look good by now…
As she crouched down to check on her childhood friend’s safety, the Princess couldn’t help but think this way.
