HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(PATH THROUGH TEARY NIGHT)

Back in the Astrod forest, Yerre is having fun in the lake playing with Alda catching small fishes without care whether their clothes will get soaked in water. The two of them only having fun like there's no tomorrow.

"Alda, look! On your back, there are many fireflies. Come on, let's go, catch them! Hurry!" Yerre mentions, making Alda startle to her surprising demand.

"Okay," Alda responds with a gentle smile to Yerre as she felt glad to see her best friend Yerre having fun and seems to forget the pressure of the situation of their character.

"Alda?" Yerre calls out to her as she saw Alda spacing out.

"Oh, yes. Come on to the fireflies," Alda replies as Yerre gives out a bright smile.

"Em!" Yerre responds, as they then catch fireflies.

The place Alda was talking about was very dashing and beautiful. There are glowing white and sky blue flower that reflects the color of the moonlight. Lake, that glimmering like sparkles with fireflies flying on top of it and green grass that only leveled on your feet.

"Alda, look! Look! Those flower is glowing like the moon!" Yerre pointed to her right side as she went close to it then pick one to show to Alda.

"It sure glows, incredible," Alda reply, amazed.

"But you shouldn't touch that flower for long because we don't know if that is poisonous or not. Throw that flower away already and wash your hand to the lake," Alda added, worried.

"Okay," Yerre answer with a pout as she throws the flower away, then went over to the lake, washing her hands. After that, she then goes back to where Alda location.

"How are you feeling?" Alda asks her because she said to her earlier that she wants her best friend to leave the problem at the Marquis's residence and only think of having fun with her.

"I am feeling light now. Thank you, Alda," Yerre answer with a thankful smile.

"You are always welcome. Can I ask you something serious now?" Alda mentions while they're standing and facing each other. Yerre looks at Alda with a clueless expression, then nods as her reply.

"Do you still remember the day we die?" Alda recalls.

"Yes, why?" Yerre asks.

"Do you still remember I have something I want you to know that day but didn't have time to say it to you because we got dragged down to the deepest part of the sea like a magnet," Alda elaborate, making Yerre shivered upon remembering the way they die together. Alda saw Yerre shivered, so she went close to her, then hug her.

"I do, but why you want to recall such a thing, Alda?" Yerre asks in her dry tone of voice.

"Because I have an unfinished thing I want to fulfill," Alda answers as Yerre hugs her back.

"What is it tell me. I also want to know what do you want to say to me that day," Yerre responds.

"I will, but before that, I want you to promise me you won't run away or think different of me, okay?" Alda request.

"Okay, I promise," Yerre respond, which made Alda sigh in relief then embrace her tight into her arms.

"What I want to tell you that day is that..." Alda halts her words as she controls herself, not to think of negative results. Yerre got concerned as she feels Cathlen's body trembled.

"Alda? Are you okay? Why are you trembling?"

"Because I am afraid to lose you when I already say the thing I want you to know," Alda responds, making Yerre confused.

"What? You won't lose me. I already promise to you I won't run away, right?" Yerre reply.

"But they say words is not enough," Alda responds as her body continues trembling, and her mind keeps circulating negative possibilities that might happen when she confesses her feelings to Yerre.

"Then, what do you want me to do?" Yerre asks.

"I don't know. I'm also confused. I want to tell you, but I also don't want to tell you because afraid to lose you," Alda mentions in her anxious voice, making Yerre worried.

"Then, don't overthink and say it to me. Don't be afraid. You won't lose me because I will always be by your side. No matter what," Yerre making Alda less worried and anxious. Alda drowned her face into Vendia's left side of her neck, which made Yerre tickled.

"Alda, what are you doing? You know that is Vendia sensitive part," Yerre mentions, but Alda didn't budge or move, so Yerre gives up and lets her stay like that.

"Yerre," Alda called.

"Mm?" Yerre responds.

"You won't run away or be disgust to me, right?" Alda asks again, making Yerre give out a deep sigh, then break the hug.

"Alda," Yerre touch Cathlen's face with her hands, then pulled it close to her as she made Alda look straight at her. Alda's heartbeat goes wild as she saw Vendia's face so close to her. She gulps while controlling, herself not to lose control.

"Ye-yerre, our face is too close," Alda mentions, but Yerre didn't care.

"Alda, why would you say such a thing. Do you think I can live here without you beside me?" Yerre asks with a sad expression.

"I..." Alda got surprised by Yerre's words and couldn't answer. She turns her head away, but Yerre turns it back to her, which made Alda shocked.

'Why is she like this! Yerre! For goodness' sake, stop your bold actions right now, or I won't be able to control myself!' Alda thought, suffering inside as she felt a heavy pressure upon controlling herself.

"Don't look away. Look at me and say the thing you want to say to me on the day we die, hm? Don't be afraid," Yerre demand with a gentle tone of voice, making Alda relaxed and sigh in relief.

"Okay," Alda responds as Yerre smiles, then waits for her reply.

"I like you," Alda mentions, but Yerre didn't show a surprised expression.

"Is that all?" Yerre reply making Alda stunned for a second.

"What?"

"I like you too," Yerre responds with a bright smile. Then Alda knows what is happening. She deep sighs, wearing a straight face.

"Yerre, I like you not as a best friend but a woman," Alda added, explaining her words a second ago as Yerre let go of her face, then gaze at her with a blush.

"Yerre?" Alda calls out to her, anxious as she saw Yerre's uncomfortable reaction.

"Um, let me be alone for a minute," Yerre request as she turns around then walks three meters away from her best friend, which made Alda even more worried.

"Yerre, I'm sorry. I know this is wrong," Alda mentions as she apologies, then continues explaining everything while Yerre, only listening to all her words. With an uneasy feeling as a memory back to the Voldrone land passes through her.

"Did my grandfather know you are in love with him?"

"No, because I didn't confess to him, and I don't want to ruin our friendship and bonds together," Sir Aloit answer and went to pick up her things.

"Oh... that is..."

"Come on, let's go downstairs," Sir Aloit calls out to her. Vendia then looks at him and nods with a sad feeling for Sir Aloit.

'So...' Yerre thought as the memory ended with bitterness.

"Yerre, I try. I tried harder to forget my feelings for you before. That's why I choose to have so many relationships with many women before, but those were not enough," Alda mentions, which made Yerre gasp, then realize something.

"So, she, before, she," Yerre utter as she releases a trembling sigh.

'So all those years... Alda is suffering without me knowing,' Yerre thought, feel a heavy pressure on her heart.

"It must be hard for her to confess like Sir Aloit because she does not want to ruin our bond and relationship as a best friend. She must have thought this though back and forth," Yerre mentions with an unspirited expression.

"It didn't work. My heart always chooses you in the end. Yerre, please forgive me, Yerre," Alda explains with a pleading voice as tears now skip on her face and fall to her face while her body shivered from fear of losing Yerre.

'Alda? Is she crying?' Yerre thought as she hears sobs from her back and got worried. She turned around and saw Alda crying mess.

"Why are you crying?" Yerre went over to her with a concerned expression, then wipe her tears away.

"Yerre, I'm sorry," Alda apologies as she pulled Vendia's body close to her. Then embrace in tight to her arms. Yerre heart sunk upon hearing Alda apologize to her.

"Alda, why are you apologizing," Yerre asks.

"Because I fall in love with you," Alda answers within her sobs, which made Yerre heave a sigh, then caress Cathlen back to calm Alda a bit.
