HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(STREAM THROUGH STORM)

"Emn! We will, sister Vendia." The other children reply. But all their replies got covered with discouragement because of someone saying a word.

"Liar,"

Yerre turn around then saw Lay having a gloomy expression.

"Lay!" Ying scolded her older brother.

"Lay…" Yerre went close to him, then touch his right hand, but Lay shoved it away without a second, which made other children angry at him.

"Lay! Why your being means to sister Vendia!" Chen shouts at him in anger.

"Yeah!"

"What's got into you, Lay? Why are you being mean?"

"Yeah, that is not right."

The other children nag at him, full of anger and concern.

"No, it's okay. Is all right Lay, are you all right?" Yerre consulted him as tears now fall to his beautiful eyes. Lay looks straight at her with teary eyes and a frown expression.

"My older sister said that she would come back after she visits other lands. But she didn't. So don't give us hope words that are impossible to surpass!" Lay replies within his sobs and angry voice as he glares at Yerre, then runs away in haste, crying, leaving Yerre shocked and concern.

"Lay! Come back!" Ying shouts at her older brother, concern.

"Sister Vendia, I'm sorry, but I have to go find Lay for now," Ying mentions as she apologizes in a haze, then runs after her older brother.

"Aiyooo, he still can't get over his older sister's promise?" The other kids mention feeling sad and worried for Lay. Yerre turns around and gazes at them with a concerned expression.

"May I know what happened?" Yerre asks.

"We can't tell you, sister Vendia, because our parents said that if we are going to tell someone else's life story, we have to get their permission first," Chen answers.

"I see, don't worry, I understand," Yerre reply as her heartfelt bothered upon Lay's emotional breakdown earlier.

"Vendia!" a gentle but deep voice calls out Lady Vendia's name from a distance, making all children look to who's calling, and so does Yerre. Then they saw Sir Aloit striding towards their location, full of sweat and clothes full of dirt from helping in the rice fields.

"Uncle!" Yerre shouts back with a smile, feeling happy upon seeing Sir Aloit.

"Did something happen?" Sir Aloit asks, concern his now in front of her, standing with a curious expression.

"Hm? Why you, ask uncle?" Yerre asks back a question.

"I saw Ying running after, Lay whose crying," Sir Aloit mentions.

"Oh, that?" Yerre reply feeling unease, don't know how to explain everything that happened to Sir Aloit.

"Yes, did something happen?" Sir Aloit asks in his calm voice as Yerre gazes down to the ground with unease feeling while the children keep looking at Yerre with concern.

"Sir Aloit, nothing happened," Chen joined in their conversation.

"Yes, sister Vendia only tell us the things about what is it like back to your hometown," The children mention making Sir Aloit focus his gaze at them while Yerre still hanging her head low with a concerned feeling.

"I see; may I know why Lay cry?" Sir Aloit ask the children.

"That is because," Chen stops in the middle of her sentence as she gazes at Yerre for a second with a sad expression, then looks back at Sir Aloit with a bitter smile. Sir Aloit brows furrowed as he senses something wrong with Chen's smile.

"Because?" He asks, impatient.

"Because sister Vendia promises us that when we turn to an adult. She's going to visit us here again and bring us to your hometown for a visit," Chen explains.

"Yes, then Lay acted mean, making sister Vendia startled and concern," the other kids explain.

"Yes,"

"Sister Vendia does not know what happened to their family, and yet he acted like sister Vendia had done something bad to him,"

"Yes, yes, yes, he cried, then run, and Ying runs after him," The children had done explaining, making Sir Aloit gaze back to Yerre and saw her still hanging her head low with a concerned expression. Sir Aloit deep sigh then went close to Yerre, patting her head as he releases a sincere smile to her. Yerre raises her head and saw Sir Aloit with a wistful smile.

"Are you okay?" Sir Aloit ask.

"I'm fine, uncle," Yerre answer with a forced smile, and Sir Aloit saw it. He turns around, only to see that the children are looking at Yerre with a concerned expression. Sir Aloit claps his hands three times with a smile, making the children startled, flinch, and surprised.

"Aiyo! Kids, I will borrow sister Vendia for the meantime, okay?" Sir Aloit mentions with a cheerful tone of voice, making all children nod in sync. They don't want to ask any further questions because they know that the person who can make their sister Vendia happy again is none other than their Sir Aloit.

"Let's go back home," Sir Aloit mentions as he held onto Lady Vendia's left hand, dragging Yerre away with him.

"Uncle, you know what happened to Ying and Lay's older sister?" Yerre asks.

"No, and I don't want to know," Sir Aloit reply, making Yerre wonder and ask him another question.

"Why? Aren't you curious?" Yerre asks.

"Aiya, I am curious, but. I am already stressed enough about my life. Why would I stress myself upon thinking about other people's problems and life?" Sir Aloit answers, which made Yerre giggled as they continue to string far away from the children.

"Your right," Yerre responds, but her heart still has concern towards Lay.

"Right, we shouldn't think about other people's problems and life. We should only care and think about ours, only, understand?" Sir Aloit reminded Yerre again.

"Yes, I understand, uncle," Yerre answer with a sad tone of voice.

"No matter how curious we are. We should not interfere with other people's lives and get involved in it because it will make your curiosity go wild and have a never-ending question," Sir Aloit explains, making Yerre nod and accept his advice.

"But, I still can help but worry about Lay," Yerre speaks out her thoughts and feelings.

"I know, your tone of voice says it," Sir Aloit mentions, which made Yerre shocked.

"You can guess the tone of my voice, uncle?" Yerre asks in disbelief.

"Aiyo, Vendia, I'm a knight, and I serve the Marquis for ages. Of course, I can trace and tell some people's tone of voice. Whether they're sad, nervous, and disappointed," Sir Aloit answer, which made Yerre nervous.

"What? So you can trace someone who's lying too?" Yerre asks, nervous, but she didn't show it.

"No," Sir Aloit answer, making Yerre sigh in relief.

"I see," Yerre replies.

'That's a relief. I'm glad Sir Aloit only knows half of the people's tone of voice,' Yerre thought, sighing in relief.

"What are you going to cook for our lunch today?" Sir Aloit ask, which made Yerre eyes light up, full of excitement.

"Right, I almost forgot about that, jeje," Yerre respond, making Sir Aloit chuckled, then release a sigh.

"Aigo," Sir Aloit click his voice three times, then continue talking.

"See? I told you don't overthink other people's problems or else you will get old early," Sir Aloit mentions, which made Yerre remember Alda by Sir Aloit words. Yerre pulled her left hand away from Sir Aloit with no warning. Then she stops walking, making Sir Aloit turn around with an expression full of confusion.

"What's wrong?" Sir Aloit asks, worried upon seeing Yerre gaze at him with eyes full of surprise and an uncomfortable expression.

"I… I remember some of my memories. I'm sorry, uncle. I pulled my hand away with no warning, jeje. Did I worry you, uncle?" Yerre asks, lying to Sir Aloit.

"No is fine. Are you okay? You didn't feel pain anywhere?" Sir Aloit asks, still worried.

"Uh, no, I'm fine. I only remember a tiny part of my memories from my childhood, that's all," Yerre answers, full of lies.

"I see, that's good then," Sir Aloit respond, full of relief.

"Yes," Yerre replies with a wistful smile.

"I'm going to wash first while you cook lunch for us, then we will proceed on your horse practice, okay?" Sir Aloit mentions as they continue striding away, while Yerre looks at him in surprise.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" Sir Aloit added, asking about Yerre's expression.

"I…" Yerre, buffering her reply.

"Don't tell me you forgot about your horse practice today," Sir Aloit mentions as Yerre nods with a dumb expression.

"Uh, jejeje," Yerre's light and awkward laugh made Sir Aloit heave a tired sigh.

"Aigo, whose older than us. You or me?" Sir Aloit asks, with a grin, making Yerre surprised for a second, then grinned back to Sir Aloit.

"Aiyo, I'm sure you know who," Yerre answer with a satisfied smirk to Sir Aloit.

"Aiya, you sure can't detect a joke, ha," Sir Aloit ask within his tired tone of voice, making Yerre giggled and laughing out loud.

"Pft! Hahahahahhaaha, sorry, uncle, ahahahaha," Yerre apologize within her laugh.

"Tsk, tsk, make sure you cook delicious lunch today, okay?" Sir Aloit snort at Yerre.

"Aiyo, don't worry, uncle, I will empress you with my special skills in cooking," Yerre answers, full of confidence.

"Ei, I can't wait! Come on, let hurry back home. I feel sticky and nasty in my body already, ugh…" Sir Aloit complains to himself, making Yerre giggled for a second, then reply.

"Okay,"
