HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(IN FOR THE TRAILS)

After that night, Alda went back home feeling bothered and worried about her girl friend. Even though she managed to calm Yerre's thoughts and heart, there was no guarantee that they wouldn't be back after she left. Alda can't help but sigh as she rides the horse with Angela back to the Duke's residence.

When they arrived, they then did the usual routine and went back to their chambers. Alda then changed her clothes and drifted off to sleep full of worries. When Alda woke up in the morning, she then hurried to ring the bell inside her room and called Angela's assistant to change into a comfortable dress.

After dressing, Alda then went to the dining room to have breakfast with Lady Cathlen's parents and the two new guests in their house. Upon entering the room, Alda greets the duchess and the duke, as well as the two other people inside, Marsha and Kayla.

"Did you sleep well the other night?" The Duchess asked Alda sat in her place, and replied to the duchess's question.

"Yes, mother, I sleep well,"

The Duke looked at her with a guilty expression and said.

"Sorry, child. Father could not greet you the other day because he was busy, "

Alda looked at him then gave him a gentle smile as she replied with a calm tone of voice.

"It's okay, father. You don't have to feel sorry about it. I understand, "

The Duke sighed in relief and smiled back at his daughter. The dining room then fell silent for a minute until the duke started to speak once again.

"So, your mother told me the other night that you wanted to make Mrs. Tilda and Marsha your personal fortune tellers," the duke mentions. Alda looked straight at him and answered.

"Yes, I hope it's okay with your father," Alda said with a daring smile and excited eyes.

"Of course, I'm fine with it, "the duke replied.

"Thank you father," Alda replied with a fake delighted face. After their breakfast, Alda then hurried back to Lady Cathlen's chambers and called Angela to summon Kayla to her room alone. Kayla arrived inside the room after five minutes and they sat on a separate couch to talk.

"What is it? Why do you want to see me?" Kayla asked.

"Um, the other night, I went to visit Yerre and I found out she was having a hard time dealing with our situation," Alda's straight-forward reply. Kayla sighs as she looks at her then replies.

"Well, it is hard. You become a heroine and she becomes a villain. Your families are not in a good relationship. How do you expect not to feel good about it? "

Alda heaved a sigh and held her forehead full of concern.

"Then can you help me find the lamp faster?" She said, which made Kayla look at her in surprise.

"Yes, the lamp. You haven't explained to me why you lost such an important object in my book! Why did you lose it huh? Tell me, tell me now! " Kayla asked with eagerness and impatience, as she felt anxious knowing that the magic item inside this world was missing and if it was found by a harmful man, then everything would be in chaos.

Alda looked at her for a second feeling guilty then replied.

"Well, from the time I ended up here, I was unaware of my surroundings and was very angry to see that I was inside the heroine's body. So when Angela asked me if I was the owner of the lamp, she saw I answered no and demanded her to throw it away, "

"WHAT? How could you be so careless? My goodness! " Kayla responded as she felt a headache rush through her like thunder. She held her forehead and whined uncomfortably.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to you know? I just really became unaware of my surroundings at that time," Alda explains, but Kayla can't help but still be worried and feel a heavy headache in her head.

"... erm, I can't believe you," Kayla responded. Alda sighed and continued talking.

"That is why I want your help so we can find it fast,"

Kayla looked straight at her with a straight face, then sighed. She pause for a bit as she calmed and breath in a relaxing air inside her body. She close her eyes for a bit, then opened them and look straight at Alda as she reply.

"Okay, I'll check my spell books and see if there is anything I can use to help search for it quickly,"

Alda nodded and sighed in relief.

"Is that all?" Kayla asked out of nowhere, which made Alda perplexed.

"What do you mean?" she asked back.

"So who is the guy that Yerre was with the other day?" Kayla put clarity to her first question a minute ago.

"Oh, that?" Alda replied, finally understanding what Kayla meant by her question.

"Yes," Kayla answered.

"His name is Sir Lay and he is her new knight," Alda said.

"Ahh okay. See? If I haven't stopped you, I might create a misunderstanding or worse, confusion, "Kayla responded. Alda nodded at Kayla.

"Yeah, thank you,"

"Your welcome, anyway. I have to go back and check my spell book. We can't afford to make the lamp run free for long. It's very dangerous for all of us," Kayla mentioned and Alda nodded. They stood up from the couch and went over to the door. Alda opened the door and Kayla left the room.

After Kayla left, Alda summoned Angela to the chamber and gave her a task. She ordered her to go to the town and went over to Sir Arnold's headquarters to pass the letter she had made for them. Angela nodded and didn't ask any further questions.

She went out of the room and stride to where the head butler was to ask permission before she went out. The head butler permitted it and she then went out of the mansion, striding over to the barn to get her horse. She then left in haste while riding her horse.

Not long after that, Angela arrived at the given task location. She knocked on the door and saw the same young man they had met before. She delivered the message and gave the letter to him.

The young man accepted it and nodded. Angela then leaves with satisfaction and contentment upon finishing the task Alda gave to her. She stretched her arms up to the sky and smiled, releasing all she felt inside, then left the place, riding her horse back to the Duke residence.

On the Duke residence, Kayla is exploring all her books as she searches for something to help Alda find the lamp quickly. Marsha looked at her with curious eyes.

"Mother, what are you searching for?" she asked as she went over to her side and looked at all the books her mother was piling up. Kayla stopped what she was doing and looked at Marsha with an exhausted feeling.

"I am searching for how to find the lost object," she said, and Marsha nodded. Kayla then goes back to searching for the book while Marsha thinks through her memory if she saw the book that her mother was searching for. For thirteen minutes, she thought it through until she remembered something.

"Ah! I think I saw it mother, "she said, which made Kayla stop searching and look straight at her with a relieved expression.

"Are you sure? Where is it? " Kayla asked. Marsha then went over to the other traveling bags and searched for the book her mother was searching for. After three minutes of searching inside the bag, Marsha finally found it and gave it to Kayla in haste.

She took the book from her daughter and opened the first page. The book was old, heavy, thick, had many chapters and already had dark spots on each page, but the letters were still visible and could be read.

"Here mother, why do you need it?" She asked, but Kayla didn't answer as she turned around in haste, went over to the table to put the heavy book down and searched for the perfect spell to use. Marsha smiled as she saw how busy her mother was and she didn't bother her anymore because she knew her mother hated someone disturbing her while she was doing her work.

Kayla scanned and read every detail of each chapter and page while she continued looking for the perfect spell for them to use. One hour has passed and Kayla is still searching through pages. She didn't want to give up because there were still more pages. She continued until lunch came. Marsha invited her to eat lunch with her, but she refused. She needs to find the spell fast or else things will get even worse than what they are now.

Marsha can't help but worry about her mother, but she knows she can't force her to eat or disturb her for long because her guts tell her that her mother is searching for something important. She ate the food that the servant had given them earlier, then left the bread that had lettuce, ham and cheese for her mother.

The night came and the moon started to shine through every corner of the land. People from the town are now cleaning their stalls while some still sell their goods to people. Children are now running back home for supper while others are still walking down the street with their parents enjoying the things that the night is giving.
