HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(THE LIGHT UNDER DARKNESS)

Alda observed their area and saw many night flowers lingering around and some other flowers that also glowed when the moonlight touched them. Alda can't help but be curious about the other flowers. The colors of the flowers she saw were blue and yellow.

"What are those flowers? Do they also have the same effect as the night flowers? "she asked in a whisper to Kayla.

"No, but they resemble the night flowers that I made. Those flowers can be used as a cure for deep wounds and some illnesses that everyone has, "Kayla answered.

"What do you mean?" Alda asked full of curiosity about Kayla's words. She can't believe all the flowers that bloomed at night inside this book have such a useful purpose. It's so interesting and amazing.

"Those flowers can be used as medicine for someone who has death wounds and incurable illness inside their body," she explained.

"For example if you got a deep wounds from sword, arrows, wild animals and other stuff,"

Alda touched her shoulder and tilted her head to look at Kayla with eyes full of amazement.

"For sure?" she asked in a whisper. Her voice is forceful and loud enough for Kayla to hear. Kayla nods as a yes and explains further.

"Back to our world. I happened to have an interest in herbal medicine, so I created one in my book. " She said.

"Oh, so back then you wanted to be a doctor?" Alda speculation. Kayla turned her head a little to face her and shook it as a no.

"No, I just really love and um curious about herbal medicine that comes from flowers." She answered.

"And the reason behind it is that I really hate seeing people mourn for their loved ones who have died, you know. So if impossible things could not happen in our world, what about making them possible in my book? "She paused for a moment. Her face showed sadness and pithiness for other people grief.

She continued talking while she looked at the flowers that Alda mentioned earlier, with eyes full of hope and gladness.

"In my book, I want everyone to have an escape from reality. I want my readers to read with comfort. I want them to feel that they can have the things that they can't have in the real world. I want them to feel at ease. I want everything to be possible inside my book,"

Alda nodded at her words. She understood what she wanted to portray to her very well, because she also wanted something that could not be possible in their world, and that was to have her child with Yerre.

"I know what you mean," she replied. Kayla chuckled and turned to face the front again.

"It's good that you get what I mean," she said.

"It feels great to have a friend who also shares the same thoughts and ideas as you. It's comforting and not boring, "

Alda shook her head while she chuckled at Kayla's words.

"Yeah me too." she agreed. Kayla sighed and continued talking.

"Anyway, you can create herbals out of those flowers, but make sure to do it in the right procedure because I kind of made them difficult to process here in my book," she said. Alda tilted her head to the side again with an irritated expression and asked.

"You know what?"

"What?" Kayla replied.

"Your unbelievable. You create simple things inside your book, but you also want the user to have a hard time figuring how to use it. Are you sure you want your readers to feel at ease?"

Alda's words made Kayla release a light laugh and she replied.

"Nothing is easy in this world, you know?"

Alda felt dumb about her words. She can't help but sigh to release the irritation and felt relaxed.

"Okay, what is the right process for making them edible to drink then? "

"I will teach you once we get back home, but for now, let's focus on finding the lamp. That is the most important part of our task tonight, "Kayla responded. Alda nodded and stopped talking.

The surroundings around them turned silent. Only the cold wind that passed through them could be heard. There was no sound of any wild animals either. It made Alda feel unsafe and worried because the silence was just so suspicious and untrue.

She turned to look at Sir Arnold and saw that they were all just relaxed. They aren't bothered by their surroundings. This made Alda think other wise about her suspicion of the silent area.

She sighed and let go of her worry. They all continued riding further and deeper into the place they entered, and once they faced a gigantic tree, Sir Arnold raised his hand to signal them to stop.

Alda looked at the tree and felt a familiar sense about it. Her body felt shivered and she knew why. This is where Lady Cathlen was murdered by Vendia.

"We have arrived," she said. She then let go of the horse's reins and went down. Kayla looked at the area first, making sure there was no danger anymore, and then looked down to see Alda's hand waiting for her to take. Kayla accepts Alda's help and she goes down to Mike's horse with no problem.

Sir Arnold and his brothers roamed the area first and checked the place before they made their way closer to the tree. After that, Alda and Kayla go down to see Mike's horse.

He then ran over it and caressed his horse's head, asking his horse if he was all right. Mike's horse released a quiet whine sound, answering his question, and he then tied it to where his brothers tied their horses.

While he was at it, everyone was already heading to the gigantic tree that has a tiny pond on the side. Mike didn't worry about being left behind because he already knew the way and it was not that far.

Alda and Kayla walk at the front in haste. When they arrived at the exact area, Alda then touched the ground and looked around the tree to see if it was the same tree, and she signaled to Kayla that it was the exact tree.

Kayla nodded and then instructed Alda to make Sir Arnold and his brother step away for a bit from the area because she was going to cast a spell barrier around it.

So she could focus on searching for the lamp with no disturbance. Alda nod and immediately do what Kayla request for her.

"Sir Arnold, we need to step a side two meters away from her for a while," Alda said. Sir Arnold and his brother look at her with a straight face and curious eyes.

They wanted to ask why, but Alda already pushed them away from the spot one by one, making them all surprised. When Kayla saw that they were already away from her, she started enchanting the spell barrier.

She uses her strength in demonstrating all the instruction that the book has given for her to use one by one. She didn't have a problem in doing it because this body she got already has a gift that can cast a spell like a witch, mage and wizard.

Mrs. Tilda was born in half blood. Her deceased mother was a fortune teller, while her father was a warlock. This was not mentioned and included in the book that Kayla has written because Mrs. Tilda Existent is only an outcast and non-related character.

She was none other than a traveler who just passed through, like a normal and natural character who is not part of the scene and unknown. She earned her gift and talent from her parents, but her body was weak, so she could only perform mild incantation.

She has a gift that can talk to ghosts and help them ascend to heaven. She can have a prophetic dream that warns her of danger and gives her a view of the future. And she can also use magic if she wants too. But she only reads and uses legal books for practice, because she believes doing dark things will only leave you with guilt and regrets.

She practiced her gift with her daughter for many years, until her body gave out from exhaustion and she died in her sleep in silence, leaving her daughter Marsha in Kayla's care. The woman and creator of the book whose soul got sunk inside Mrs. Tilda's body.

A tiny light like fireflies popped out one by one beside Kayla, which made Sir Arnold and his brother stunned and taken back. The tiny light kept popping out until it surrounded her spot and hugged her. This made Sir Arnold and the others worried and shocked.

"Hey! What is going on? Where are those lights? Why is she... is she all right? " Mike asked in disbelief and surprise. Alda looked at them and gestured with his index hand to her mouth, signaling them to be quiet. They all shut their mouths while they looked straight at her with a pressured expression, like they had done something wrong.

Alda waited for Kayla to finish the barrier spell. When the tiny light burst into a one and became a large bobble, that was when she knew that Kayla had already done the spell. She looked at everyone with a grinning smile and said.

Okay, it's fine to talk now. She had already done a barrier spell, "

Everyone then looked at her with intense curiosity in their eyes and asked her questions one by one. The first person to ask was Mike.

"What did she just do?"
