HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(THE NEW FLIGHT)

She looks at Madam Rose and can't help but release a laugh upon seeing the Vendia mother wearing a panicked and anxious expression. But her laugh didn't last long after she saw Madam Rose smiled at her. She stopped laughing, then thanked Madam Rose for helping her and replied to her words.

"Is it okay for us to visit him today, mother? He is not busy? " Yerre asks. The tone of her voice was collected, but Madam Rose could sense an excited tone out of it. She knows her daughter must have been enduring the feeling of loss for a long time. She knows this because Sir Aloit and her daughter were close, so close that sometimes people mistake Sir Aloit for Yerre's father. This made her laugh inside.

"Of course, he will spare some time for us. If he won't, I will shout out his name until he gives us some time, "Madam Rose replied. Her words made Yerre feel relieved and she giggled. Vendia's mother really knew how to make her feel happy and comfortable.

Before Sir Aloit left the Marquis to serve as the crown prince as his knight, he first instructed the Marquis to not let Vendia visit him alone at the castle and that she must be accompanied by not just a guard but also a parent. He knew it was too much, but he was only taking caution. The king already knew the reason why he had ordered the killing of the physician.

So he was worried that the king might make a move to make Vendia suffer. He knew him and the king had made an agreement, but this worry and doubt in his heart still couldn't be erased. So it is better to be prepared than do nothing. Yerre looked straight at Madam Rose and smiled. She then continued eating her break fast while Madam Rose stood up from the couch and went over to her daughter's dress drawer. She opened it and chose an outfit for Yerre to wear today.

"My child, how about this? Do you like to wear this?" Madam Rose showed an over-the-shoulder lavender long de soiree longue sweep train dress that has a violet flower on the shoulders. The dress was simple but elegant. Yerre turned around and stared at it for a second, thinking whether she would wear it or not. She imagined Vendia's body wearing it and it fit perfectly. So she nodded, and Madam Rose smiled.

She hurried and placed it down on the bed so the dress wouldn't mess up its form. Then she hurriedly went beside the bed of her daughter and pulled the long rope that formed a curtain lace, and the sound of the bell rang inside the servant quarter. Everyone who was inside the servant quarters then looked where the bell was located and saw that it was from their young lady's room.

They then called for Beky to hurry and call Mary, who was currently doing some laundry in the back yard of the servant quarters. She washed the dresses that had been worn by Lady Vendia. Beky went over to her and told her that Lady Vendia had called for her. Mary immediately stopped what she was doing, untied the laundry apron that she had tied to her waist, and cleaned herself before she went over to Lady Vendia's chamber. When she was done, she ran over to the hall way to go to Lady Vendia's chamber.

Yerre, on the other hand, was just finishing her breakfast. Until she heard the bell inside her room. She took the last bite of her food and turned to look at Madam Rose, who was already striding back to her. Yerre's eyes followed her until she sat back down on the couch. Yerre swallowed the food she had been munching in her mouth and finished the milk that was inside the glass cup. After that, she then asked.

"Mother, did you call for Mary?"

Madam Rose smiled at her child and nodded. Yerre smiled back at her and thanked her. She already knew what her mother's intention was upon calling Mary into her chamber. Then, not long after that, the person they were expecting had arrived, knocking on the door. Madam Rose stood up from the couch and went over to open the door. Mary was about to greet Yerre, but the one she faced was their madam. She bowed and greeted her.

"Madam, good day." The surprise in her voice and nervousness were palpable. Madam Rose sensed it. Upon hearing Mary's nervousness, she couldn't help but chuckle, before replying.

"Why are you so nervous, Mary? " She asked. Mary can't help but lower her head in embarassement. She couldn't believe their Madam had read through her emotions just now. She felt shy and awkward. Madam Rose observes her reactions and can't help but sigh. She patted Mary's shoulder and said,

"Come inside, help your miss get dressed. I'll be back after fifteen minutes," she said. Mary looks up at her with eyes filled with curiosity and asks.

"Are you going out with Miss today, madam?"

Madam Rose brings out a gentle smile and nod.

"You want to come with us, Mary?" she asked, making Mary surprised again.

"N-no, madam, it's okay. Mary replied, stuttering a little at her words. "I still have to finish the errands I have for today, and Sir Aloit told me that I should stay put inside the mansion for now," Mary replied, stuttering a little at her words. Madam Rose couldn't help but sigh and feel sentimental towards her. She touched her shoulder and said.

"Right, forgive me. I almost forgot about that. All right, don't worry. I'll bring some of the foods that the town has today for you all. You tell everyone about it later, okay? " Madam Rose said. Mary's eyes light up with excitement and nod.

"Thank you for your consideration of us, madam," Mary replied. Her words were filled with delight and gratefulness. Madam Rose nodded, then left her daughter's chamber. Mary then went inside Lady Vendia's chamber and met Yerre inside the guest room.

"Good morning, Miss. Did you have a good night's sleep? "She asked.

"Yes, I did. How about you, Mary? Did you eat your breakfast already?" Yerre asks

Mary answered, "I sleep well too, miss, and yes, I have already eaten my breakfast." Yerre can't help but sigh in relief upon hearing Mary's reply. She nodded and stood up from the couch to prepare herself for the bath. She went over to take her bath robe and went on undressing herself.

While she was occupied, Mary went to the comfort room to prepare the things that she would use and also prepare the bath. She filled the large-sized bath tub that was the same color as gold with water until it reached half its volume. Once the bath tub was filled with water, she then put on the liquid soap that was mixed with milk and lavender scent. It was Lady Vendia's favorite bath scent and soap.

It made your skin soft like a baby and smooth like porcelian glass. When Mary was done preparing all the things, she then went out of the room and fetched Yerre outside to tell her that the bath was already ready. Yerre then followed Mary into the bathroom, where she took a bath.

Mary assisted her in scrubbing her back, and when she was finished helping her, she went outside to prepare the things Yerre needed after she was done. Yerre, on the other hand, was enjoying her time in the bathtub by making bubbles out of the soap and playing in it like a five-year-old child. When she felt satisfied, she then made herself go down to the water, letting all her body and hair indulge in the lavender scent.

She stayed under the water for three minutes and five seconds until she could not breath anymore. She hurried out to the water, making a loud splash sound and sat on the bathtub. She coughed a little and forced herself to breath until she felt like she could finally breath well. Mary heard a splash sound and a cough inside the comfort room, making her worry and panic. She stopped what she was doing, put down all the things she was holding, and hurried back inside the bathroom.

"Miss! Are you all right?" She shouted in panic, making Yerre flinch from surprise. She turned around and saw Mary's anxious expression. She smiled at her and replied.

"Yes, I'm fine. Mary, I just played the bathtub water earlier, "her voice was calm and convincing. Mary nodded and went to get a dried towel. She then went close to her and helped her out of the tub, wrapping the towel around her body.

Yerre didn't know, but a few minutes ago she seemed to forget that she was still under water as if her body was already used to being inside the water. It scared and terrified her. But she didn't show it, she hid it under her skin. She didn't want Mary to worry.
