HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(THIS CHILD WILL NOT CRY)

When she came back inside, she gave the pouch that had the money and the pouch bag that the noble girl named Vendia had given to her mother.

After that, the young child, Mary, continued to tell her mother about the journey of her day, with eyes filled with excitement and full of happiness, while her mother continued cooking the ginseng chicken cheese soup. Her mother also boiled ten sweet potatoes inside the other cauldron for them to eat.

Upon hearing about her daughter's adventure today, she couldn't help but release a relief sigh. She was glad that her daughter didn't have a heavy day and had difficulties selling the products today.

She knows her daughter is an independent young child, but she still can't avoid thinking about her daughter's age. She is still five years old and having experienced such a heavy environment made her feel guilty.

But she can't blame her past mistakes anymore, and all she can do now is make this present better to live in. So her daughter won't end up having the same experience as she did in the past. She will never let her daughter have the same fate as her.

The five-year-old child's mother turned around, smiling, then strode over to her daughter and sat on the wooden chair she made beside her, while they waited for the sweet potato to be cooked as well as the ginseng soup.

Two hours have passed and the two people inside the house are now having their lunch together, filled with joy and blessing. Their days continue, and the young Mary is currently doing a makeover on her sick mother in front of a medium-sized mirror.

When she was done, she couldn't help but release a long sigh of relief while wiping the sweat from her forehead using her hand, then look straight at her mother, who was now staring at the mirror with an impressed and astonished look in her eyes.

"Mother? Did you like it? Does Mary do a good job? " The young Mary can't help but feel nervous and impatient about hearing her mother's reply about her makeover. Her mother turned around and looked at her with tears in her eyes.

Her child gasped in shock. She stood up from the wooden chair and went to carry her daughter into her arms, embracing her, while continuing on crying, making the young Mary cry also.

"Uwaah, why is my mother crying?" Mary asked between her sobs. She felt scared and terrified when she saw her mother crying out of nowhere after she asked her about what she thought about her work.

The young child thought that she had done something wrong to her mother and that is why her mother is now in pain.

Her small body was trembling in her mother's embrace, thinking that she had hurt her, which made the young woman release a light laugh and loosen her embrace on her daughter a little to see her chubby cheeks.

"Why are you crying too?" she asked. Her voice was filled with gentleness and comfort. The young child stares at her mother as tears continue to escape through her eyes, then sniffs and answers her mother's questions truthfully while hiccupping within her sobs.

Because your mother is crying, Mary thought she had hurt her mother. "Her mother couldn't help but feel warm and soft inside her heart. She can't believe she had such a sweet and loving daughter beside her.

The young woman who embraces her daughter gently pinches her child's cheeks because of her daughter's cute reaction to her actions. She then embraced her back into her arms while the tears that had fallen into her eyes slowly dried out her face.

"Mary did not hurt her mother. Mary did a good job. That is why her mother is so happy that she cried, "she explained, then Mary pulled away in haste from her mother's embrace to ask her mother for assurance.

"Are you sure?"

Her mother sighs, then nods with an indicating smile on her face, showing assurance of her words. Mary then stopped crying and once again hugged her mother, putting her hands around her mother's neck, gently hugging it like a koala.

"Thanks to Mary, Mother looks very pretty again," she said, embracing her daughter back.

"Mn! Mary will do anything to make her mother happy, "Mary replied, nodding within their embrace.

The day goes on and the night starts to knock on the south border. Supper soon comes, and everyone in town is now cleaning and hasting to get back home to their family.

The two people inside the cabin home are busy cooking something delicious inside the kitchen. The mother and daughter are working together to finalize the dish they will be eating for dinner.

The young child stands on the adjustable wood chair, lending some ingredients to her mother, who is stirring the cauldron filled with boiling soup water.

When they were done, the young child then helped her mother by arranging some plates and utensils that are used for eating on the table, while her mother put the food into a different bowl and plates.

Then they settled down at the wooden table. They then sat in their respective wood chairs facing the table and began happily eating the food they had both prepared together while chatting about their days.

Her mother couldn't help but smile when she saw her daughter happily chatting with her while she ate her food with bright and blessing eyes.It turned out the young child missed this moment a lot. Where her mother and her would eat together and chat about some things, for her to remember and to learn from the outside world.

From the time her mother had retired to bed, she always forgot to take care of herself and sometimes didn't have an appetite to eat because she was not used to eating alone at the table.

But when she saw her mother eating the porridge she made every morning in the morning, her days would brighten up again. However, her appetite remained the same. She sometimes eats and sometimes does not.

Fortunately, her mother didn't see the changes in her body, because she didn't want her to worry and be distressed because of them. The young Mary looked at her mother with a grateful smile as she chugged some food into her mouth.

Thirty minutes had passed and they had finished eating. The young child proposed to her mother that she be the one who would be washing the dishes and that she should go back inside the house to rest.

Her mother nods, then goes back to their cabin house, leaving her daughter alone inside their dirty kitchen to wash the dishes they use to cook and eat.

The young Mary was so happy upon finally seeing her mother, who was well and eating with her again at the table while they chatted about their days together. She can't stop humming a song that her mother always hums when they go plant some crops in the plot her father has left for them.

As she kept washing the dishes that had been piled in front of her, her feet were standing on the adjustable chair that her mother made for her, because her height was still not high enough to reach the sink.

The young child continued washing the dishes, while repeatedly humming a song out loud, until the young Mary heard a loud thud outside their house. She stopped what she was doing and called out to her mother.

"Mother?" but she never got a response. The young Mary felt perplexed for a second while her eyes focused outside the door and thought that the thud must be from something else inside the forest, so she ignored it and continued washing the dishes.

But it didn't take a minute for the young child to hear a louder thud inside their house. She flinched and dropped the glass plate she was holding in her hand, causing it to break into two. The young Mary stares at the broken plate and her heart can't help but beat with anxiety.

People say when a plate accidentally breaks into two, it indicates misfortune and danger, that someone who is close or related to you has gone into an accident and has died. The young Mary stared at the broken plate with suspension and fright. Until she decided to call out for her mother.

"Mother?" She called out again for a third time, but still got no response. She goes down to the adjustable chair, then strides out to the kitchen. Her heart was beating like a drum from fear.

Her mind gave her thoughts that maybe someone had broken into their house and that someone was the person she was afraid to see her mother. She quickened her steps as her heart screamed the same words.

'Mother! Mother!'

Then she came to a halt upon hearing her mother's extinguished scream from inside their house. Like someone had choked or cut her throat. The young child's heart stopped beating, her mind turned blank, and her body trembled from so much fear. She stood on her ground, while her eyes were as wide as an owl. The young child was almost at the door of their house, but her feet wouldn't move further. It's like her body is telling her not to, like an instinct.
