HE/HEROINE AND MY VILLAINESS

(REDEEMER OF PAST)

"Sed was my first love. He was the first person I love before your mother came. I lost him because I don't have a stable power before, but I never give up," King Phantrel continues as Prince Adam keeps listening to him with the same expression.

"I hold on to the promise I made to him at our kingdom garden, that I will make him my Queen when I become a king," King Phantrel mentions.

'At the kingdom garden? Why I felt something like that happened to me too,' Prince Adam thought, thinking through his memories, as an old memory from his past embraces back through him.

'Huh? This...' He thought, surprised.

"Here," The young girl put the flower crown on the young boy's head.

'Vendia?' Prince Adam thought, surprised.

"Oh, thank you, Vendia," Prince Adam feels happy upon receiving the crown flower from Vendia.

"It looks good on you," Vendia compliments him.

"Of course. Do I look like a king on it?" Prince Adam asked, and Vendia giggle.

"So much," Vendia answers as she wears her sweet smile with her face flush a blush.

"Someday, I'm going to be a king like my father, and you will be my queen," Prince Adam swears, and Vendia blushes.

"You promise?"

"Of course, a king never lies," Prince Adam answer.

"Yeah, your right. I will trust your words then," Vendia answer, smiling as Prince Adam nod.

"Here, I made this for both of us," Prince Adam mention.

"What is that?"

"This is the proof of my oath to you," Prince Ada answer, showing a flower ring to Vendia as he then put it on Vendia's left ring finger.

"They're beautiful," Vendia responds as she feels happy upon receiving such a wonderful gift from Prince Adam.

"Yes, they do just like you," Prince Adam mentions as Vendia then blushes and wears the flower ring that Prince Adam gives to her.

"You are right," Vendia responds with a sweet smile as both of them then giggled.

'Vendia? Why do I remember this now? I, so she still remembers while I forget all of it. So all this year you pursuing me to be with you is all because of what I promise to you...' Prince Adam felt a sting of guilt on his chest as he remembered his childhood memories from the past with Vendia.

"What I have done..." He utters to himself with guilt inside his heart.

'Is all my fault, and yet I keep deceiving and hurting her,' He thought, angry at himself. His body trembles from anger and guilt as his father looks at him, wondering why his son is acting weird again.

"Son?" King Phantrel called out to his son, who spaces out.

"Uh-F-father," Prince Adam gets back to his senses as he deep sighs.

'Calm down, Adam, your father is here,' He thought, calming his thought as he gets back to his usual self and smile at his father.

"What's wrong? Why your face show an unpleasant aura a second ago?" King Phantrel asks.

"Oh, uh... nothing. I'm just tired and exhausted," Prince Adam reply, but King Phantrel still felt something off about him.

"Okay, maybe we can talk further tomorrow,"

"Okay, uh-wait, father," He called before his father stood up and left his room.

"Hm?" His father replies.

"What about the Marquis, are they invited to mother death anniversary banquet too?" Prince Adam asks.

"Tomorrow?" King Phantrel asks back, and Prince Adam nod as a reply.

"Yes, why? You don't want to see their daughter, Lady Vendia? I can still uninvite them to our list of visitors, but we will face some consequences and issues after. But no worries, I will handle it," King Phantrel answers.

"No! Invite them! Uh-I means. I'm just asking, that's all," Prince Adam responds, stuttering and felt pressure as his father does sense something is fishy about his words.

"Okay, rest now. Did you eat dinner already?" King Phantrel asks.

"No, I haven't. I don't have an appetite yet, and I am already tired. The only thing I want now is to rest," Prince Adam responds, and King Phantrel understands.

"Okay, I understand but retrain yourself back to its usual stage fast, don't let that eat your brain and heart. You are born steel, not paper. Don't worry so much about Lady Cathlen and your engagement with her. I will handle everything. You only have to wait for my instruction, understand?" King Phantrel mentions as his son nods at him.

"I understand, father," Prince Adam replies as his father stood up from the couch, pat his head, and gives a gentle smile at him before King Phantrel goes out to his room.

"I will go now. See you tomorrow in the dining room. Let's have breakfast together for a change," King Phantrel mentions, as Prince Adam felt happy upon hearing his father's request.

"Okay, father, I promise I will be there," Prince Adam swears to his father as King Phantrel then nods.

"Maybe we can invite one person too?" King Phantrel mentions, and Prince Adam looks at him with a wistful smile.

"Okay, father," He replies as King Phantrel felt happy upon hearing his son replies. Because It means his son already accepts Butler Sed as part of their family.

"Thank you, son," King Phantrel felt grateful as he shows a relief smile to his son. Prince Adam then nods and smiles back at his father as a reply. After that, King Phantrel then leaves his son's room in peace. When he's already outside, he got surprised because Butler Sed is waiting for him. Butler Sed then went over to him in pace.

"How did it go?" He asks, curious.

"It went well. Why are you here? I thought you already at your chamber, sleeping," King Phantrel ask.

"Idiot, I can't sleep while my people are still working. I only came back to my chamber to get something and came here because I'm worried,"

"You worried I would do something bad to my son, am I right?" King Phantrel finishes Butler's Sed sentence.

"Y-yeah, sorry I doubted you," Butler Sed apologize.

"Is fine, I understand because I also thought that I might harm him because of what he has done to you earlier, but I couldn't because I saw my younger self to him, and it pains me," King Phantrel mentions as Butler Sed looks at him with a question mark up above his head floating.

"Huh? In what way?" He asks for clarification.

"In a way that when he loves. He loves like there will no other person can replace that person to his heart," King Phantrel answer as Butler Sed then understood what he meant and went close to King Phantrel hugging him.

"Don't worry. I'm sure your son won't meet the same fate as you. You and your son are different after all," Butler Sed assure him.

"I hope so... I'm sorry, I can't accompany you tonight at your chamber," King Phantrel mentions as Butler Sed breaks the hug and looks at him with wondering eyes.

"What? Why?" Butler Sed asks.

"I will visit the Duke residence tonight," King Phantrel answer.

"For what reason?"

"I want to talk to them about my son's engagement to their daughter," King Phantrel explains.

"Why? Is something wrong?" Butler Sed asks, concern.

"Yes, but I can't explain the reason to you for now because time is running, but when I finish my business to the Duke family. I will then make things clear to you," King Phantrel explains.

"Okay, I understand," Butler Sed responds as King Phantrel then kisses Butler Sed's forehead and leaves to meet his trusted guards to join him at the Duke's residence.

On the other side of the place, Vendia. Alongside Mary, Sir Aloit and Sir Den have already arrived at the Marquis residence. Sir Aloit went to signal the two guards who guard the gate to open it for them to enter.

"Open the gate!" Sir Aloit shouts at them as the two guards hear his demand and open the gate in haste. Sir Aloit then signals Sir Den to move and enter inside. Vendia and Mary are inside the carriage sleeping in peace on a separate couch inside.

Butler Sebi, who roamed around rechecking all the things inside the mansion, stops at the window in the hallway with a shocked expression as he saw Sir Aloit and Sir Den already back home. He went down to the third floor in haste while holding a candle lamp in his right hand as he went over to the entrance door of the Marquis mansion, then unlocks it and went outside to meet them.

"Sir Aloit," Butler Sebi call as he wears an anxious expression. Sir Aloit and Sir Den then hear his call and turned around.

"Sebi, where's Lord Marthen and Madam Rose?" Sir Aloit asks.

"They're already sleeping. Why you all went back home without giving notice to us? All the servants are already sleeping. Did you guys already eat dinner?" Butler Sebi asks, concern.

"Yes, we already eat dinner," Sir Aloit answer.

"Where's Lady Vendia and Mary?" Butler Sebi asks, worried.

"Oh, they're inside the carriage sleeping," Sir Den mentions as Butler Sebi, then sighs in relief.

"Sebi, can you help Sir Den put all the luggage back inside the mansion?" Sir Aloit demands.

"Why? Where are you going?" Butler Sebi asks.

"I'm going to take Lady Vendia back to her chamber," Sir Aloit answer.

"Oh, okay, but what about Mary?" Butler Sebi asks.

"I will take her back to the servant quarter after I take Lady Vendia back to her chamber," Sir Aloit answer. Butler Sebi nods as Sir Aloit then went over to the carriage door, opening it only to see the two young maiden sleeping in peace. He smiles upon seeing them sleeping like a baby. Sir Aloit went over to Vendia in silence, then carry her out of the carriage in a bridal style as he lay Vendia head to his buff chest.

Butler Sebi and Sir Den then went inside the carriage to put all the things out to the carriage in silence while Mary is still sleeping inside in peace. Sir Aloit already entered inside the mansion and went upstairs unto Vendia chamber. When Sir Aloit arrived, he then opened the door in silence and went inside Vendia chamber. Sir Aloit then lay Vendia to the bed with caution, being careful not to wake her up.

"Sleep well," Sir Aloit speaks as he sat on the bed beside her, tucking her in with a blanket to keep her warm.

"Uncle will see you again tomorrow," Sir Aloit mentions as he looked at Vendia's peaceful expression for a second with a gentle smile engraved on his face and went to kiss Vendia on her forehead. After that, Sir Aloit then stood up and went over to the door, closing it. Then he leaves. Sir Aloit then goes back downstairs to meet everyone outside again.

"Sir Aloit, your back. We already put the things back to the mansion," Sir Den mentions as Sir Aloit nods.

"Okay, you can rest now. Butler Sebi and I will handle the rest," Sir Aloit reply to him.

"Okay, then I will go now. See you both again tomorrow," Sir Den responds.

"Yeah, sleep well," Sir Aloit mentions as Sir Den walks back to his quarter.

"Go, take Mary back to the servant quarter first. I will ask later," Butler Sebi reminded him as Sir Aloit nod at him.

"All right. I will be right back," Sir Aloit reply as he went back to the carriage to get Mary. Sir Aloit then gets out carrying Mary in a bridal style.

"I will meet you inside my quarter," Butler Sebi mentions.

"Okay," Sir Aloit answers as he passes through Butler Sebi, then continues striding back to the mansion unto the servant quarter.
