Help! I'm In Love With A Liar

Month of October...

"Hi Wang," I said stiffly.

"Hi baby, I am back," he replied excitedly.

"I want to break up with you. I no longer love you and my parents do not approve of you," I disclosed.

"I know it's a joke," he said, bemused.

"No, it's not. If you want, you can talk to my dad about this too. You and I are done," I said, trying not to sob.

"But, what has happened baby? Trust me, I have stopped lying to you and I really love you," he bawled.

"I do not trust you at all. Once a liar will, is always a liar. Please do not call me or any of my family members again," I incensed.

"Listen to me sweetheart. There is certainly some confusion. I know you love me," he justified.

I handed over the phone to Amelia. I did not want him to hear me weep.

"But I want to know the reason and I can't do that. You know, I love her," he replied.

"She just doesn't like you anymore. Now I think I should hang up. I am sorry," said Amelia and pushed the red button with her trembling hands.

Amelia hugged me and we sobbed uncontrollably. I had to do this, I thought. I had no other option. He called up again and I switched off the phone. He called us up, for many days but none of us answered his calls. I had made this decision and my family knew I was doing the correct thing. I am not sure if he ever visited my house in Shenzen because two months back, in September we had already shifted to Beijing.

Month of September…..

This all commenced when Wang had to visit Beijing for 15 days, since his dad was in town, he wanted to spend some time with him. I was in the gym working out when I again blanked out and fell off the treadmill.

The last thing, I recollected was that my head hit the handle of the machine.

I opened my eyes and I was on a hospital bed, my sister was sitting by my side. I could faintly hear some voices which, I suppose were my mom and dad.

"I fell down again," I said looking towards Amelia.

"Yes, doctors feel there might be some kind of deficiency. You will have to undergo some tests." She reassured.
