Narae appeared emotionally drained and was sleeping in Sister Margaret’s arms.

Kang Haon was simultaneously sorry, grateful, and impressed.

“It’s unbelievable that she’s my daughter; she’s so cute,” Kang Haon said, his gaze fixed on the angelic Narae.

“Doesn’t she look like an angel?” said Sister Margaret.

Kang Haon couldn’t help but smile like a proud father. He followed Sister Margaret, unable to take his gaze away from his little angel.

Sister Margaret requested that Kang Haon hold Narae until they arrived at their destination.

“Is that okay?” Kang Haon inquired, surprised.

The other nun around them seemed still uneasy with him, and he had the impression she saw him as a suspicious person himself.

Even though he wanted to hold Narae, he couldn’t bring himself to say it. Unexpectedly, Sister Margaret asked to hold Narae.

“My arms are a little sore because of my age,” Sister Margaret explained.

Kang Haon was filled with gratitude. ‘She’s so generous!’ he thought.

He could tell Sister Margaret was much stronger than the younger nuns around her, so she just made excuses.

“Really? Then, I guess it can’t be helped. I’ll carry her until we get there,” Kang Haon whispered quietly, reaching out to hold Narae to prevent her from waking up.

Yuria, the other nun, looked at him with disapproving eyes, but since Sister Margaret had made the request, she couldn’t object.

Kang Haon carefully accepted the precious little one in his arms.

At that moment, he felt like he had entered a whole new world.

“I must repay this favor,” Kang Haon thought to himself, making a promise to help Sister Margaret whenever she needed it.

“We’ve arrived,” Sister Margaret said after a while. They had arrived at the building where the other orphan children lived.

“Have we arrived already?” Kang Haon felt disappointed by the small size of the orphanage.

However, it was just his personal opinion, as the orphanage was actually quite large. They had walked for more than 10 minutes to get there.

Kang Haon pondered over how to prove that Narae was his daughter. He considered using the magic he used when he first met Narae, but he knew they wouldn’t believe him.

He thought of other ways, but nothing came to mind.

Back in the other world, he had always solved everything too easily, thanks to his life.

At first, he didn’t need to prove anything to anyone, but now, with this sudden problem, he felt at a loss.

However, his worries were easily resolved thanks to Sister Margaret.

“Shouldn’t we start with a paternity test?” Sister Margaret suggested.

A paternity test was something anyone would think of, but for Kang Haon, who had lived in a world of swords and magic for fifty years, it was something he wouldn’t even think of.

“No, of course we should…” Kang Haon’s confidence wavered; he felt like a farmerboy who knew nothing when he came to the city.

“Shall we go to the hospital then?” While most people don’t even get a chance to take a genetic test during their lifetime, it’s not that unknown.

Even Kang Haon knew, but he only knew about it from his wife, Han Binna, who was a K-drama addict.

“Wait, don’t they do the paternity test at the hospital?” Kang Haon asked cautiously.

He realized that something was wrong when Sister Margaret looked at him strangely.

“Of course, it can be done at the hospital, but nowadays, you can just use a simple DNA testing kit. I happen to have one here.”

Sister Margaret beckoned Sister Yuria into the office and took a white testing kit about the size of a finger.

“Looks like some virus test kit.” Kang Haon thought of the virus test kit he had used in the past.

“I should adapt quickly.”

This was not the other world, but Earth.

Kang Haon felt the need to change his thinking.

“Can I do a blood relative test with this small thing?”

It was developed because there were so many dead people that it was difficult for authorities to identify them, but Kang Haon, who did not know this, felt like it had been 50 years since he hadn’t been on Earth instead of 5 years.

“By the way, why is she acting like that?”
Kang Haon turned his head at the prickly gaze he felt beside him.
There, Sister Yuria was staring at him as if she wanted to pierce through his face.

“Well, do you have something to say?”

“No! What would I have to say? Sister, I’ll go check the kids.”

Sister Yuria replied loudly and went out through the same door she came in.

“Is she always like that?”

Kang Haon thought that Sister Yuria was a crazy woman; no, he was sure she was crazy.

“That’s not the case.”

“Was she originally a little crazy?”

Kang Haon thought no and was convinced that Sister Yuria was really a crazy woman.

“Really?”

Sister Margaret laughed at Kang Haon’s reaction.

“Well, just in case, why don’t you have her checked out at the hospital? I can judge people well, and I’m 100% sure she’s crazy.”

“That’s not it; it’s because of Narae.”

“What do you mean?”

Kang Haon became curious when Narae was suddenly mentioned. He was curious about what happened to all the time he didn’t spend with her.

“Yuria, Narae, and I came here around the same time, so we became closer than others. So I think it’s because she felt like Narae was taken away from her.”

“Ah…”

After listening to Margaret’s story, Kang Haon could understand to some extent why Yuria acted that way.

“She’s crazy about Narae.”
But to Kang Haon, Sister Yuria was still a crazy woman.

“Well, only Narae could make her act that way,” he thought, and he believed it was a reasonable explanation.

“Of course, this is the case if Mr. Haon was really Narae’s father, right?” Margaret asked.

“Yes, we can check right away. How should we do it?” Kang Haon confidently replied, as he was 100% convinced that Narae was his daughter.

“There’s no need to be fancy; just pull out a single strand of hair,” Margaret said.

“Here you go,” Kang Haon said without hesitation, plucking a strand of hair and handing it to Sister Margaret.

“Just wait a little bit; it’ll come out in about 3 minutes,” Margaret said.

“Yes, please hurry,” Kang Haon replied confidently, but in reality, he was a little worried.

“What if the result is wrong…?” he thought. It wasn’t because he doubted that Narae was his biological daughter or that he couldn’t trust his wife, Han Binna. It was because of his experience with body transformation.

“Could it be that my genes have changed?” Although he had experienced body transformations several times, Kang Haon couldn’t predict how modern science might detect his genes.

Moreover, at one point, he even mistook his own face for someone else’s in the mirror after the body transformation back then.

If that was the case, it wouldn’t be strange for his genes to change as well.

Kang Haon watched anxiously as Sister Margaret used the paternity test kit. This kit was easy to use.

It just needs a strand of hair from Kang Haon and Narae to be mixed into a special liquid, mix it, and then drop the liquid onto the kit.

The kit would analyze the genetic data and send it to a PC for confirmation.

Zzzt, zzzt!

After a moment, the test result paper began to come out of the printer connected to the PC.

“What’s the result?” Kang Haon asked.

“Um…” Sister Margaret looked serious as she looked at the test result.

Kang Haon swallowed hard.

“Did it come out differently?” Kang Haon became uneasy.

It wouldn’t be strange if his genes had changed somehow.

“It’s better if Mr. Kang Haon sees it for himself.”

Sister Margaret handed over the test results with a serious expression until the end, causing Kang Haon’s heart to beat fast.

He hadn’t heard the results, but it felt like he had.

However, he thought he wouldn’t know until he confirmed it with his own eyes. He nervously checked the results written at the bottom of the test paper.

“!!!”

Kang Haon’s eyes widened upon seeing the results.

“99.99% probability of being a parent.”

It was a completely different result from the atmosphere Sister Margaret was giving off.

“No, why is that?” Kang Haon asked Sister Margaret, feeling perplexed.

“What do you mean?” Sister Margaret’s nonchalant attitude made Kang Haon slightly annoyed.

Her joke had gone too far. “Why did you keep looking serious as if the results were bad?” Kang Haon kept his cool, giving Sister Margaret another opportunity to explain herself.

Previously, she had assisted him with Narae. However, opportunities come only once. Kang Haon would not stand by if Sister Margaret continued to be difficult here.

He waited quietly for her response, and Sister Margaret sighed, as if she had realized something.

“Oh, there was a misunderstanding; I wasn’t joking with you; I was squinting my eyes because I have presbyopia; you see, I’m already over seventy years old.”

“…Please take some eye drops.”

Kang Haon felt his strength dwindle as a result of the unexpected response.

“By the way, may I ask you a question about which I’m curious?”

Kang Haon wanted to ask Sister Margaret something now that he had proven Narae was his biological daughter.

“Of course, I’ll let you know if I know the answer.”

“Could you please explain why Narae is here and what happened to her mother?”
